Okay, Rockin' Crawfish! I recently heard they were under new ownership, and I'll admit I was a little skeptical. But I decided to give them a try, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Our group ordered just about everything on the menu, and honestly, almost every dish was a hit. The only item that fell a little short for me was the fish sauce wings--I think those could use some improvement. Other than that, everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was also incredibly pleasant. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely sweet. While we did have to ask for a few things multiple times because they were initially forgotten, they were always quick to help and eager to make things right. My only real complaint besides the wings is the pricing on some add-ons. Charging $8 for six small pieces of sausage feels excessive and is hard to justify, especially when compared to the portion sizes of everything else. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. Good food, great service, and a noticeable improvement under the new ownership. Despite a couple of minor complaints, I'll definitely be back. read more

Rockin Crawfish - Live crawfish and clams - Cajun/Creole Near Me - San Pablo, California

It's my first time trying this place since I'm new to the area. I eat seafood boil at least once a month, and I've tried most of the other seafood boil locations in South Bay and North Bay. So I know my way around this dish. I ordered to-go 1lb of clams and 1lb of shrimp head-on, mild level, and rockin combo flavor, and an appetizer of Calamari. When I got home, I saw that they didn't give me salt/pepper and lemon, so that was very disappointing already. The food was okay, I didn't really taste the garlic, and towards the end, I could only taste pepper-ish seafood. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. So bummed because it's near where I live. read more

Came here on a Thursday evening for happy hour. They have a great happy hour selection from cheap drinks to cheap appetizers! Not a lot of deals on their seafood selection for happy hour.. Maybe they can incorporate that in the future. Staff is great! They are nice young people who make sure you are comfortable and cater to your needs! The food, different story. A few of us ordered pounds of shrimp and none of them tasted fresh. They didn't have any sort of crispy or crunch to them with freshly cooked shrimp. These ones tasted extremely mushy and honestly old. We were disappointed, since we heard there was new renovations and new management, but same disappointments from the past. Hopefully they can get it together, because they have a lot of potential! read more

It was my first time trying this place. Ordered to go on Mother's Day and won't be coming back. Corn was overcooked, calamari was over battered and the sauce for the shrimp tasted like they just poured canned sauce and seasoned it. We spend about 120$ for 3 pounds and fried calamari, hopefully they improve the food quality. read more

I always come back for their Hawaiian shrimp with steam rice - they're absolutely delicious and full of flavor! The garlic noodles are a must try as well! They had a special brunch menu, and I tried the shrimp and grits - it was really tasty and definitely worth ordering. If you're in the area, give this restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed! =D read more

Unfortunately, the service was terrible, and we did not have a good dine-in experience. The restaurant was extremely crowded, with what appeared to be family and friends gathered throughout the space, which made the atmosphere feel chaotic and uncomfortable for paying customers. It was also very difficult to get our server's attention throughout our meal, and we had to wait quite a while just to receive our bill after we were finished. Overall, the lack of attentive service really took away from our dining experience. read more

Disappointed. What's up with the 18% gratuity dine in when service is less than subpar. Food still good Ambiance is chill, can be loud on busy days. But it's almost like you want to push your customers away. read more

I used to come here all the time when it first opened. Their service was terrible so I stop coming. Anywho, I loved their corn with the sauce. It was bomb! I haven't had it in about two years. I decided the get some and called to place an order. The lady said I need to Zelle her?!?!?!? Okay, I just walk-in and place an order. I get here & am now told I can't order the only thing I like, CORN with my SAUCE, by itself. I had no problem ordering it before the change in management. Now it's a problem! Go back to the old management. At least I could have my corn. It's never anyone one in this place. You would think that they would take the only little business they could get but no! Now I remember why I'll never support them ever again. RIP to my corn! read more

went here a few years ago and ive always been meaning to go back... we did yesterday and it looked different, the waiter told us we could pick our seats and waited for our menus. he gave the table furthest from us their menus, then proceeded to sit down to go on his phone. I was confused because he obviously saw us and we didnt have our menus. my husband got up to grab it and we were asked if we wanted drinks. we got 2 cups of ice water, and i look in and see a bug. i was then immediately unconvinced to stay and didnt want to wait for a strike 3. we left and unfortunately probably wont ever come back. read more

I hadn't been here in years and decided to come try it with my friend for Memorial Day. We ordered oysters to share and two separate boils, the boil sauce was extremely too thin and lacking flavor. Rockin Crawfish - $1 Happy Hour Raw Oysters M-F 3-7p - Cajun/Creole Near Me - San Pablo, California

We ordered 2 lbs of head on shrimp in rockin combo - medium sauce with corn and potato, Garlic noodles, rice and a Michelada. The shrimp were a good size the disappointment came with the sauce, it was extremely watery!! Not thick at all, it didn't stick to the shrimp. Sorry to say it lacked enthusiasm. The dish was so hot we could barely touch the shrimp, corn or potato. The garlic noodles were so GOOD!! I would love the sauce to have measured up to the noodles. The Michelada lacked as well The rice, we never got it... As for the ambiance, it's cool. A sports bar atmosphere, very open. The service was good except for the forgotten rice. We ordered everything all at once (except for 1 soda) bc we read a previous review that stated they lacked in service. But with only 3-4 tables out of approx 20 it wasn't busy at all. The servers were nice and we were warmly welcomed. read more

New management so things have changed. The portions are smaller and prices are higher. Ordered as usual, what it used to be $80-85 we now pay $100. One of the crawfish bags had 3 "crawfish" without the tail! Yes, 3 huge shells without meat. It seems like they throw leftovers in your bags now. Never going back. Very disappointing read more

Eek. First thing to note if this makes a difference for any of you: they charge 15% gratuity for dining in. The staff were friendly and checked in on us quite often. Gloves were provided while bibs were given upon request. Like other reviews have mentioned, they are pricey and the combo options honestly sucks. Only 1 of the combos included crawfish and only at 1/2 lb. Many of the combos included half pounds of each item. i ordered Rockin Combo flavor at medium spicy on 2 lbs live/fresh crawfish ($20/lb as of last week vs $17 for frozen), 1 lb head on shrimp, 1 order of potato (came with 2 potatoes), 1 corn, 6 pc sausages. ~$80 after tax and tips. The sauce had cajun flavoring and not too spicy at medium spicy (I usually get mild or medium), but not garlicky at all despite that minced garlic was in the mix. I can forgive the lack of freshness in crawfish if the sauce is good but unfortunately it was hard to find many positives with the black bellied crawfish and disappointing sauce. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place for seafood boil. read more

Rockin crawfish shares the plaza with a supermarket and some other businesses so parking is not an issue. I came with a party of 4 and we were greeted & seated fast. We ordered the seafood boil, shrimp po boy, snow crabs, fried oysters & seafood pan roast. Everything was delicious from the sauce to seafood quality. Good service too! Will return to try more menu items. read more

I was in a seafood mood and this totally satisfied that craving! We got both a shrimp and mussel boil and I was pretty impressed. The mussels were really meaty and the spicy sauce gave it a good kick. I really liked the sides. The Cajun fries and garlic noodles were really yummy. Some places can make garlic noodles super buttery and oily but this sat pretty well with my stomach. Service was good and food came rolling out on time. Reasonable pricing and I feel like we got a good variety of food along with it A pretty casual spot in the San Pablo town plaza. You can't go wrong for a lunch or dinner here. read more

Rockin Crawfish - King crab, potatoes, corn, shrimp and sausage - Cajun/Creole Near Me - San Pablo, California

I chose to come this establishment to eat for my birthday which was also my first time. We ordered the seafood boil w/ A whole dungeness crab, shrimp , sausage, corn, and garlic noodles. The combo sauce was like a rub. (Note: they did give me more sauce to add to it). The shrimp wasn't cooked all the way and the garlic butter which they charged $4 dollars for, was lukewarm warm. They did asked if I wanted them to remake to boil and we declined. First impressions, are lasting impressions (and I never leave reviews). We went on Valentine's Day and the wait was to long, so we decided to go back for my B Day which was 2 days later. For the price, I think we will stick with the Dead Fish restaurant their Dungeness Crab, customer service, and the ambience's . Feeling disappointed on my BDay read more

I was highly disappointed in the paper plates and plastic dishes how am I to pick k crab with a plastic fork?! Had the lychetini it was very lightore of a juice. 3 STARS FOR FOOD but service was good so it's a 4 star for me! the servers were attentive and nice and what I like about this spot is that they give you the good latex gloves !! So you don't need to worry about your hands getting dirty! FOOD: Fresh oysters (6/$13~$14) pretty fresh , we had the kusshi oysters and I love the crunch it had! Shrimp ($17/lb) ordered lemon pepper seasoning medium spice but the seasoning tasted like Cajun. sauce was a bit too heavy for me and some of the shrimp were mushy so it wasn't the best King crab legs ($70/lb) probably the best thing here!! It was juicy and gave us the good part of the legs! Also gave us scissors cause most places only give you the crab shuckers/crackers so this was a plus too!! Sausages - do not get!! it was dry and felt like they used old sausages. We didn't even finish them. read more

Came here with moms after work. We ordered a combo that had everything in it. Muscles, shrimp , crawfish and king crab. We did notice that now they cut everything down to half pounds in the combos instead of pounds and it's more expensive. So less food but more money. That's why three stars for this review. Sauce flavor was great this time. Rocking combo medium. Spent $100 on two pounds of food and two cocktails. Service was good though. Food came out quick and our server was nice. read more

I ordered two pounds of live crawfish, one pound of headless shell on shrimp and one pound of snow crab and a diet pepsi. There was a sign on the table that said "a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to all dine in orders." The waiter brought the diet pepsi, and when the food came, it was all overcooked. The crawfish were definitely overcooked and had been sitting for a while. The shrimp were rubbery and the crab legs, which were $50 alone were on the bottom so by the time I got to them, they were soft. Properly cooked snow crab should snap, so you can pull the meat right out. The food was palatable - fresh enough, so not a one star review. But if it hadn't been overcooked, it would have been three stars. The quality of the seafood was lacking - the shrimp, at $20 a pound were very small, the crawfish at $20 a pound were of all different sizes so I have my doubts they were live cooked. The Crab legs would have been acceptable if they hadn't been overcooked so badly. But the real kicker was, for that 18% gratuity, no one checked in on me and no one offered me a refill on my drink - you know, spicy food! I flagged the waiter down and he took my glass and didn't come back. I had to go up to the counter to ask for my refill. I like to tip people when they earn it - but this place feels entitled to an 18 percent tip but can't even get me a refill. Mentioned it when checking out, and the cashier (same as the waiter) gave me a $3.50 refund for the Pepsi. read more

Ordered 2lbs crawfish and 1lb shrimp. The crawfish were excellent. Well marinated into the house combo sauce and most importantly were very fresh. They crawfish were huge as well..Almost the size of little lobsters! Picked up in 15 minutes with sweet potato fries as well. Greeted by a nice young lady at the register. The transaction was smooth and she was very friendly. I did look around and the place looks clean and spacious. There were several TV screens on the walls with sports games being played. Highly recommended! read more

Do you guys not clean your shrimp at all or was it just a mistake on the 2 bags that my supervisor purchased last week?? That's very unsettling to see poop still along the back side of the shrimp. Came in on a weekday and it was slow, two tables besides ours n service was slow. The seafood boil we ordered was a waste of money. They brought us the seafood in a watery sauce that was loose and bland i had to ask for them to bring me sauce made the right way. Then the worst part of it all we ordered King crab which they completely over cooked to the point the crab meat was rubbery and greyish looking. Before we decided to order crawfish, we called and asked the staff if they had fresh crawfish today, they said they did but maybe it was fresh yesterday or a week ago. Most of the crawfish were black inside, soft and inedible. We pulled apart some of the crawfish and it was black and the meat tore. Most of what we ordered ended up in the trash. Such a shame, we think the restaurant should've been honest and maybe we would've ordered a smaller quantity rather than losing a customer. Don't go here. read more
