They recently renovated this place since it seems like most of the bad reviews were before 2022. I like the new interior look and the food was pretty appetizing. If you're planning to get a plate of food from the snack bar, I'd suggest just going here since their menu has more food choices and the pricing is almost identical. I would definitely come back and try their prime rib and entrees.

I've been meaning to do this for a long time. This was from The Broiler at San Pablo Lytton Casino last night. When I got here, it was packed on the Casino floor. I didn't expect it to look like that inside, it's posh, slightly elegant, and I really like the high ceilings in here. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. I went with the Casino Cheeseburger with a medium cooked Classic Angus Beef patty, all the fixings, Swiss Cheese, I added an Avacado, and French Fries. This Cheeseburger reminds me of a Steakhouse Cheeseburger, like somewhere at an old Black Angus Steakhouse. The Bun was like a Brioche, very gourmet. What did it was the Avacado. The Fries were on point, crunchy, and I really liked how it was served in this neat Basket. They get some points for originality. This was one hefty Cheeseburger, and it was oh so good. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.8-4.2 stars, but I give this 4.3 stars.

Eh it's an ok place. For someone drunk looking for a Asian food at wee hours, this place will do. Selection of asian food is of course limited. They also have American food. I ordered shrimp scrambled egg on a fries rice, but it came out looking like porridge! Not what I was expecting. In order to make it palatable, I added some lemon, some soy sauce, and hot sauce. Waiters are attentive though, which is good. Oh btw, for a place that offers Asian food, it's a disappointment that they do not have CHILI OIL and a REAL soy sauce. Since this is inside a casino, the place is like an ashtray, so expect to come out smelling like one. So, if you ever come here, don't wear your nice clothes...you know, those clothes that can still be recycled cuz they are not so dirty to be thrown in the laundry yet.

We chose from the Breakfast options (salmon served with hard boiled egg and bagel w cream cheese). They have a large menu with lots of options at good prices. We chose to share this dish, so only my half is pictured. It will definitely fill one person up if they aren't sharing. Tip: Jus get your free drinks on the casino floor rather than paying for drinks in the restaurant area. Also, coffee is $2 but free on floor. It was our first time here. If we are in the area, we would come again.

Wow. I'm really surprised by all the sucky comments below but then again.. they are pretty old. Well, I must say---the San Pablo Casino's Broiler restuarant really won my heart over. No, I don't enjoy inhaling cigarette fumes but I had a very good first and second experience. Their sweet potato fries with sweet aioli sauce is amazing! Their clam chowder is very, very good and I've had my share of clam chowder in my small lifetime. Their caesar salad was great the first time but unfortunately failed the second time because it was too salty. The service is really good. Maybe they read the below reviews and thought--"Hmm, we should improve". You get freshly baked buns served hot with creamy butter spread while you wait for your appetizers and entree meals. I will definitely be going back. I wish all the other folks who like this place would Yelp it so it doesn't look like the Broiler sucks because it doesn't! At least, not anymore!

Last Saturday after losing $40 on the slots I came here for dinner as I had no desire to gamble inside the casino again. I needed to get the bad taste of losing in my mouth. I had a small dinner that consisted of two dishes: 1) casino sampler and 2) catfish with black beans over rice. The sampler had a decent portion of chicken wings, chicken fingers, and popcorn shrimp. In addition there were different types of dipping sauce (honey mustard, tartar sauce, ketchup, and salsa) that was provided. The main dish, the catfish, is similar to Chinese seafood stir fry dish. The catfish is diced, breaded, and fried. A black bean sauce, that you normally see at a Chinese restaurant, is added on top of the catfish. I liked the moistness of the catfish however by putting the black bean sauce on top of the breaded catfish the breading becomes soggy not crispy. Overall the catfish dish was a light, pleasant dinner. I enjoyed my time at this restaurant than Casino San Pablo.

When maps directed me to here, I was shocked. Stepped in there was 1 party so I said great its not busy. As we took a seat, I kept hearing the online ordering beeps while the nice young man was there checking them. Alan came around and handed us menus and since my little one is into chicken or country fried steak, its the first thing I asked him when he greeted us. I…read morereviewed yelp to find something close that maybe we hadn't tried, and I found Mely's with the amazing rating of 4.3 stars. We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.

Both the fried and taters come very lightly salted, and there are salt packets you can grab to add to taste. The Mac and cheese has a nice smoky flavor from the bacon, and I appreciate that it comes in a to-go container. Casual spot with order and pick up at the counter. Nothing in particular to note about service, they were nice. Plenty of comfortable seating inside. I would come back here for the quality of the food alone, but what really makes this place stand out is the affordability, especially for the sides. Very cute burger joint on the corner - you can't Miss it!…read more Lots of custom artwork on the walls - very nice!! My kids and I pulled off the freeway coming from Sacramento specifically to try Johnny Boi's today. I had seen several reviews on Instagram and they were all good which meant I had to give it a try.. We ordered four burgers, two smash burgers and two Fatboy burgers and two orders of tater tots one Oreo cookie shake and an ice cream cone. The total was a little over $70.. ouch! The first thing I thought while paying the bill was these better be some good burgers for that amount of money. The food was ready within a few minutes. I saw them frying the burgers fresh, which was great! I noticed there were tater tots sitting under the heat lamp when we placed our order....i hoped we wouldn't get those because they looked as if they had been sitting for a while. As luck would have it, we did indeed get those tater tots and as luck would also have it, they were indeed cold. Bummer - cause if you know me, you know I like my food fresh and hot! The burgers were just ok. They didn't have any seasoning and the smash sauce was a bit spicy. Even though I watched them put the meat on the grill which I thought was our burgers, the burgers came out just warm. The cheese was barely melted and the bun, although very soft was also cold. They gave us a small cup of ranch dressing and it was delicious!!! The last thing I got was a Soft serve ice cream cone. It reminded me of the ice cream cones that you get on a cruise ship. SOOOOOO GOOD!!! Overall, The kids rated them a 6/10. Not too bad, but I don't think we need to go back.
