Great spot for a cool down! It's quiet, it's clean, and the staff is very friendly!! I would definitely recommend. I've been wanting to try it after seeing all the photos and reviews so after a grueling basketball tournament on a Saturday afternoon I thought it was a perfect time to stop by on the way home for a cool treat. We were not disappointed! But eat it quickly because it melts pretty fast! I don't know about the location, though. It is tucked away in a small plaza along El Sobrante Dam Road, not all that close to the freeway entrance/exit, so I imagine not many people may know about it unless you are local. It is very easy to miss. Even Waze marked the location a few doors away so I almost thought it was closed.

Finally, a 5-star spot that actually deserves it! The chicken here is elite! You know how some places have five stars, but you get there and you're totally disappointed? This place actually lives up to the hype. always fresh, consistently good never had a bad batch, juicy, and full of flavor. Skip the plain fries and go straight for the garlic fries, which are really good. there is a wait but of course cause everything is FRESH!

Went there a while ago and the service is really good. Nice staff, quick with serving your order. I got myself a cookies and cream ice cream and it was good. 100% recommend

We came after seeing reviews from others. The place was supposedly not hard to find but somehow we missed it because the sign was so high. The place was small with some benches. We ordered two rolling ice cream and Thai iced tea with boba. The rolling ice cream is a fun way to eat ice cream. The vanilla ice cream was creamy and delicious and the chocolate fudge was flavorful. The cheesecake topping was a bit sour. The Thai iced tea was just ok. To be fair, I did ask for it to have less than sweet so they diluted it which def ruined the flavor. I didn't like it. Other than that, we enjoyed the ice cream.

This spot is a vibe! Super cute with all its decorations. Fun to watch your dessert being made. Most importantly, the treat comes to you fast and it's loaded with flavor and many toppings. Will be back!

Cool!!! I have driven by many many times when I've stopped at starbucks, but only last night had the first chance to come inside. I got matcha ice cream with mochi as the topping. My husband got chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, and brownie chunks. It takes a little bit of time for them to make up your ice cream rolls, but you get a pretty nice serving (and the unlimited toppings!). The menu also has some snacks and drinks available too. I wish i could get half-and-half (two different half-sized flavors), but that's just me being picky.

Always on the hunt for rolled ice cream, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. It's super convenient with easy access off the freeway. My rolled strawberry ice cream was perfect! The service was quick, and the place was clean inside. I've actually been back more than once now and also tried the wings, which were nice and crispy.

The Rolling House has done it again. Their Salt and Pepper Fries are so worth ordering! Just the right amount of spice and so addicting you can't stop eating it. The owner Kevin and his employee were extremely helpful and always so nice! Came in on a Sunday and like always we enjoy sitting inside and enjoying our meal.

What lovely people! They were so kind to my kiddos; explaining the process and inviting them to watch. My grands had a great time and the ice cream was terrific. Nice Lego collection, too.

The ice cream was top notch but the wings stole the show. Extra credit for great customer service! Will definitely return.

We've visited here a couple of times and the staff is always nice and one time they let my 4-year-old son bring one of the chairs close to the counter and watch them making ice cream (He was so happy!) :) They also have unlimited toppings so you can customize your ice cream any way you like!

The rolling house is pretty legit. I stopped by just to try it. I like that they have ice cream of choice, but unlimited toppings. My kids got the cookies and cream and I got the matcha. Both flavors are recommended. I am pleasantly surprised. This spot is pretty hidden, right next to mountain mikes. I would imagine the wait when it gets busy. Ambiance: chill. I will be back to try different flavors

Better quality ice cream in an area where there isn't much of that. The ice cream was dense and flavorful. Great place to bring kids.

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner! I am surprised I have never reviewed it. Recently, I did a small catering order with the owner. She was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. It's like a pho salad. It has tons of bean sprouts underneath the noodles and a lot of deep fried garlic pieces that make the noodles taste like Hong Kong crunchy noodles. At first I thought the egg noodles were fried. It was crunchy and there wasn't a lot of noodles but mostly a lot of sprouts and herbs. There were a lot of fatty barbecue pieces that I did not eat. I enjoyed one shrimp and one piece of squid. There were a ton of fake crab meat. The side soup was very nice and hot but had a taste of chicken fat and lots of salt and MSG. The noodle dish is extremely tasty and doesn't need any addition of soup. This was excellent on a hot day after a nice hike at Tilden Park. My husband ordered the same dish as me at my recommendation and loved it. My friend had their chow fun with seafood and barbecue. She enjoyed it and it was a generous amount so she took home half. This place is not shy about using MSG and the food is very salty and strong tasting. I find the dishes much cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants. My dish was only $13.50. That's very cheap since it was full of herbs and seafood. Service is very efficient when they're not busy. No frills. Service is very slow when it's busy. Most of their customers are people who are coming here during their office lunch break during the weekdays. I noticed it was very quiet on a weekend. I'm still going to go back to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Berkeley next time I am in the area, Phosho Dough.
