He loved coming here and became friends with the owner. I started coming back more often after he passed and it brings me joy to see that it is still operating and that the owner is still there behind the counter and working alongside his family. Double Rainbow has been a local staple of San Pablo for many years and has contributed and served the community with great hospitality and delicious ice cream flavors! My go-to is the cappuccino frosts and the strawberry cheesecake ice cream (cheesecake pieces and real strawberries)! I put my bf on the cappuccino frosts and now we drop in every now and then for some! We have become semi-regulars now haha. I'm also very happy that they brought back their lychee nut ice cream (with real lychee pieces), another favorite of mine! I haven't tried their ice cream cakes recently, but remember getting them for my birthday as a kid, along with their clown cones! Their prices are also very decent. Was the split $15 and the Red Bull $5? Was the split $10 and the Red Bull $10.
