Ownership has changed since the last time I visited and the pizza and ingredients are top notch! The other amazing thing that happened was I got unexpectedly delayed and couldn't pick up the pizza I previously ordered until about 1.5 hours later. When I got there the guy said he wanted me to experience it fresh ,as he felt it had been out of the oven too long, and insisted on making me a fresh one at no charge! What great customer service, especially because it was completely my fault and they had done absolutely nothing wrong. He wouldn't let me pay anything extra ( I did leave him a $15 tip though ) The pizza was outstanding! Definitely will be regular customer now . read more

Even if you aren't a fan of thin pizza, this pizza under this new management is going to be one of your favorites. The owners and employees are experienced and influenced from the restaurant nearby- Masa, a Mexican restaurant. The cheese in this pizza has changed and it's 10X better than it was before. The energy is vibrant here, they restructured everything. If you used to come here and haven't visited in a while, you will be pleasantly surprised of the 180 they've done to the place. This place has changed with new ownership . The art on the walls is amazing by a top notch artist. i never really wanted to eat inside but now i want to keep going back . The bunny slope vegetarian pizza is delicious, (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, with tomato's, crumbles of goat cheese, topped with some arugula, and slivered almonds) I'm sure I'll be craving this a lot now! I was here last week. I have to say that it's not quite how I remember it. Extreme pizza was one of my favorite pizza places, but what they gave me last week left me a little disappointed. I stopped by at the end of work around 7:00. I liked that there weren't many people in there, and they had the bloopers and fight tv up on the walls. It might be under new management because the people there serving didn't look familiar from previous visits. I ordered the usual. The railroad slice "2 slices of pizza" and 2 twisted garlic cheese sticks. I didn't have to wait very long for the order. They started making it just as I finished paying. It was reasonably priced. I received two very toasted hard bread "nubs" not stick. I actually picked one of them up and hit it against the place and it made a knocking sound. It wasn't like I remember. The previous garlic cheese sticks were way way better. They were actually twisted with garlic sprinkled all over. They had the taste of beer batter or yeast and they were soft doughy and cheesy. What I got instead were just these sad 6" burnt crusty crunchy nubs. See the sad images attached. They use to make them long and twisty, but now the staff is probably cutting corners and sacrificing quality to stay afloat. The pizza: again, this could have been done much better like in the old times. This railroad slice was crunchy. Not pliable or foldable, it made a crunch when I bit into it, felt like it was way over cooked crust but the toppings were ok. This could just be my preference, but I much prefer a pizza that has a softer dough/crust. I hope it goes back to how it was. read more

This is some of the best pizza in the Bay Area! The crust is amazingly delicious and the sauce is flavorful while the topping tastes and appears to be fresh. I grabbed a make my own pepperoni slice with some extra toppings while my bff had a small pizza. Really I'd give this place 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up. I came here to grab a lunch with my folks. We got: a salad, a pizza, and a sub. Two items had a special request (dressing on the side for the salad; tomatoes on only half the pizza). The order was taken correctly and this is evidenced by the receipt but both items were made incorrectly. It wasn't a big enough deal to send the food back, but looking through some other reviews, this seems par for the course. The food was fine. I had the Natural (veggie sub) which was waaaay better than your average veggie sub (meaning it was more than just peppers, onions, and mushrooms). Looking for lunch for the 3 of us, we decided on take out pizza to bring to the new brewery in Richmond. Although the guy who helped us behind the counter, wasn't very friendly, he took our order and quoted us 15 minutes for the large pizza we ordered. 15 minutes go by, and it is ready on time... fresh & ready to scarf down. We asked for Parmesan cheese and peppers, in which he told us he only had Parmesan, but we could get peppers at one of the tables and put it into a little container ourselves (I found that a little strange, but funny)... like why don't you do it for us? Just seemed silly. Other than the guy's not-so-friendly attitude, we REALLY enjoyed our pizza... in fact one of the better pizzas I've had in a while. It was a little bit in the thinner side, but all 3 of us were content while we ate and drank. I would definitely come back here just for the taste of the yummy pizza we had. Extreme has some interesting pizza combinations - good for vegetarians and carnivores alike. We use them for catering and generally they have decent quality and variety. However, when going there for individual lunch (8" personal pizza) it's a crap shoot! I ordered the Holy Cow, a vegetarian pizza with lots of cheese covering some walnuts and sage I think. Interesting flavor combinations, but a bit on the rich side. Great if you like cheese. I also tried their chicken wings, which were the boneless variety with a spicy sesame dipping sauce. Ick - not much better than a chicken mcnugget. The wings at Round Table are far better. Don't recommend these and it's better to stick with pizzas. read more

Came here to pick up a pizza to bring to a friend we were visiting up in Richmond. Located in what looks like Old Richmond (think old-timey buildings where ragtime music was hip and sarsaparilla was the drink of champions), Extreme Pizza serves pizza either gluten-free or chock-full of gluten... whatever your heart (and dietary restrictions) desires! We ordered: HUGE 18" Yardsale aka their name for the combination pizza By the time we got there, our pizza was ready to come with us and we were excited! When we first opened that box, our eyes were met with a huge steaming pizza full of toppings and warm melty cheese *drool forreal doe It was also so great that the place we were going to was literally 1.5 miles away so our pizza was still piping hot when we ate. And I was pretty excited as it was my first time trying Extreme Pizza. Flavor was good and the crust was thin... however my second bite in, I spat out an olive pit! Scared me for a second cause I thought it was a hella hard rat poo. Good thing it wasn't cause I was not about to throw up in front of my SO and his friend, who I was meeting for the first time... I love this place to dine in because its hard to order exactly what I want on the yelp app. I have dietary restrictions (I can only do goat cheese/non-dairy cheese, prefer vegetarian and am gluten free) Normally a pizza restaurant is the last kind of place someone with those type of restrictions would go, but they have many vegetarian options, offer a cauliflower crust that is gluten free and offer both vegan cheese (although they have been out of this options last three times I went here) and goat cheese. Today I went to the shop to order. They were slammed. One of my pizzas got lost in the shuffle. They were gracious and offered free cheesecake or cookies. It took a long time so they threw in an extra pizza. When I got to the car, I found one of the pizzas I ordered was missing. Once again they handled it with grace. They refunded the entire order. I know they did this for another person who had waited as well. The staff and managers smiled despite their obvious stress, and the pizza was the best I have ever had from them. I Love this place. So many pizza specialty options it's extreme! We usually order the vegetarian and add chicken and pineapples, soooo good. They offer 6 different beers on tap, as well as a variety in bottles and wine. Chicken wings are really good, baked not fried. Seating area is always clean and ready for the next customer including their outdoor seating on the sidewalk where we always bring our dog. Assistant Manager Yolanda is great.
