Half chicken butter half tika masala 1/5
    Rosie W.

We ordered half butter chicken and half tika masala. The base of this pizza is worse than little Caesar's, which is crispier on the outside and has more flavor. A few things went wrong with this pizza: - The pizza dough is too chewy, too soggy. - The pizza dough doesn't have any taste to it. - There were way too many onions in the pizza. They could've easily called this an onion pizza. If this were a frozen pizza, i think it'd be decent but it was made fresh and it cost $30. I would say the flavor is pretty good but everything I mentioned above trumps it all. The service was nice. They were patient while we looked through the menu and recommended a few items. Took about 20 min for the pizza.

Had the garlic chicken pizza. Garlic sauce and ingredients taste delicious, and fresh Friendly staff. Will definitely be back

6/24/24 I twisted my wife's arm to visit this shop. "Look" I sez. "The place is clean, quiet, they have good food, and they have good beer on tap." We arrive and order a small pizza. A glass of New Belgium Space Dust IPA and a diet Coke for my Wife. We look for a clean table. STRIKE ONE. A lot of the tables are not spotless like last visit. We clean one ourselves. There are two televisions blasting nonsense into the atmosphere and we are the only customers so I ask them to turn the noise level down. No response. I find the remote and do it myself. STRIKE TWO. The cashier comes to our table and reports the keg of beer that I paid for a glass from is empty. Since I already paid, I chose a lesser ale. swing and a FOUL BALL. The pizza arrives piping hot and delicious. Crust with cornmeal makes you want more and more. Not too salty and I can't stop folding mouth watering slices and shoving them into my pie hole. Swing and CRACK! Pizza Twist connects and... Ladies and Gentlemen it is going, going, going and ... HOME RUN!!! We've just witnessed History! Wow.

Neither Hubbers or I didn't feel like cooking, so we threw ideas in a hat (so to speak) as to what we really had a taste for. After much debate, this place won out. I wanted the Hawaiian pizza, but we felt a couple of sides or starters were musts. We didn't realize the choices seemed endless and that it took us a bit to finally narrow it down. After much debate and using the process of elimination, we finally had a list! So I picked up the phone and put the order in. "It'll be ready in 30 minutes..." Got in the car 25 minutes later (they are that close to home) and found myself inside in no time. They were close to closing time, chairs atop tables, floors clean, and was welcomed in very nicely. I was told they were just about finished with my stuff. Showed the perk, paid and in a minute, I was walking out the door with my goodies. That 5 minute drive felt like a 500 minute drive, car smelled so delish!!!! SHAHI PANEER NAAN: A meal in itself! So glad I started with this. There's a nice crisp to the bread, had a slight and nice Indian curry aroma and the paneer added texture. The tomatoes and onions served as sidekicks of sorts that also added to the overall flavor. I really REALLY liked it! BUTTER CHICKEN NAAN TWIST: It looked strikingly like the paneer version, but trust: it's a whole different profile. They are consistent with the crisp of the bread. The chicken was seasoned well and moist. Veggies were also sidekicks that helped elevate the flavor. Delish! LEMON PEPPER WINGS: Flavor was perfect, and though the chicken was cooked through and through, I would have much preferred it with a little bit more crisp. But hey, that's a personal thing, and I will take it as they serve it. (Side note: I had leftovers and popped them in the air fryer for a bit and eventually got the texture - while that perfect flavor remained - they way I like it.) HAWAIIAN PIZZA: Thin crust. Perfect amount of cheese. The amount of ham and pineapple were commensurate with each other and there were plenty of both. Crust was crispy. To heck with people who say pineapple should never be on pizza, this was yummishhhhh!!! FOOD: 5. There was nothing I didn't like. SERVICE: 4. Very little interaction, but certainly above average for the small amount of time I was there. They were all very friendly and welcoming. VALUE: 5. Worth it. Plenty of food for two, we had enough leftovers for a snack/small second meal. PARKING: Shared with others. Not an issue nearing closing time. OVERALL: 4.75. The chicken Cesar salad and the spicy wings were all Hubbers, so I can't comment on them. He liked them, though, I'll attest to that. The next time - because there will be one - will be a dine-in experience. I'm confident they'll earn that 5th star then.

Great option for a desi pizza! Tried paneer and tandoori chicken and surprisingly veg was as good as chicken. I have had in similar places in east bay where the large pizza size is a big bigger for a couple more bucks. So I wished this was big enough too, but 2 pizzas sufficiently fed 4 of us. So am happy with the experience overall.

Hercules got a new pizza spot! Pizza Twist is an international pizza chain. With locally sourced ingredients and premium quality GMO-Free meat, the menu is filled with vegan, gluten-free and traditional Indian twists of flavor. How amazing is that?! We had a nice Sunday football spread going and these babies fit right in. We got 3 medium pizzas - 1 supreme and 2 vegan chicken tikka masala and Bombay garlic chicken. The toppings were generous, vibrant and fresh. The flavors were unique (everyone loved the chicken tikka masala!) and the crust was tasty with cornmeal dusted goodness. I wasn't too much of a fan of the vegan cheese but overall my family and I enjoyed the flavors. There's a ton of different pizza, wings (even vegan!), naan flavors to try - I personally want to try the butter chicken and paneer flavors next!

Pizza With A Twist! My very first time visiting Pizza Twist since they opened back in December. So tonight we decided it's Pizza night with a Twist! I've always wish that a pizza joint like this style with both Indian and Pakistan flavors would open up close by since I've always like these pizza style flavors in other places. So, tonight we ordered a medium Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza Twist and an order of Butter Chicken Naan bread and both without heat. As expected, the Chicken Tikka pizza was full of flavors with an even distributions of toppings. The toppings were spread consistently in each slice therefore each slice was flavorful. Yummy! Unfortunately the crust was slightly overbaked but I'll give it a pass this time. As for the Butter Chicken flavor Naan, it was flavorful but this time, the Naan was hard and over baked. I'm used to Naan being soft but this one was just the opposite. Is this how it's served?. I'll have to give it a try next time. But for now, finally, another pizza joint with a Twist of flavors! So, thank you for being here. I'll be back for sure!

The former Extreme Pizza has become better than ever. Pizza Twist definitely has a twist that Dominos, Round Table, and Mountain Mikes doesn't have. I tried out this place after having my cup of Starbucks. I didn't expect to see a different selections on the menu. I would never see Halal on a pizza but when I had the Chicken Tikka Masala it was good. Would you believe that the breadsticks are naan? Round Table doesn't have naan on their breadsticks. You want a pizza cookie and brownie? This place has it. I will try this place again in the future. I do recommend this place for other Hercules residents.

Located on a busy stretch of Solano Avenue on the lower…read moreportion near the San Pablo Avenue intersection on Albany, California, Little Star Pizza is just one of many locations of this burgeoning franchise from owner Brian Sadigursky, who began his mini-pizza making empire of his signature cornmeal crust deep dish pizzas in a small location along Divisadero Street in San Francisco's Nopa neighborhood. That location has since closed down, but two locations remain, this one in Albany and another along Valencia Street in San Francisco's Mission District. The team also owns three The Star pizza restaurants with locations in Oakland, Alameda, and Portland, Oregon. With all these locations to keep track of what makes people keep coming back for all these wide varieties of pizza pies? It's the dough of course, but it is not just any dough, it is their beautifully crusty cornmeal dough that is cooked to perfection for their Chicago-style deep dish pizza that is what makes Little Star and all of their subsidiaries so worthwhile. I had originally been to this location when they were located literally right next door in a smaller location on the corner. Now, in a much larger location, with floor to ceiling windows that let in natural light on two sides, and their own communal parking lot, where there is a door for direct takeout orders, Little Star Pizza is thriving here in Albany. What brought me and a dining mate back for a first time visit to this newer location was the affordable lunchtime deal that they serve seemingly seven days a week. From open until 3 p.m. diners can order a Personal Signature Pizza either Deep Dish or Thin Crust for only 11 dollars. You can also build your own personal pizza for 9 dollars which is an affordable option. My fellow dining mate and I knew we wanted to select from their Seasonal Specials or their Signature Pies. I decided to order their Personal size All-Star Signature Pie, which was topped with bacon, meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, provolone cheese and served on their signature cornmeal crust, then filled with mozzarella cheese and house-made tomato sauce & finished with parmesan & oregano. My dining mate was intrigued by their Specials menu, and their Personal size Sweet Heat, which was topped with spicy sausage, caramelized red onions, cherry peppers, hot honey and served on their signature cornmeal crust, then filled with mozzarella cheese and house-made tomato sauce & finished with parmesan & oregano. Since both pizzas were so affordable at 11 dollars each, we decided to splurge and order two dessert drinks as I ordered their Golden Gate Orange Soda Float and my dining mate ordered their Dad's Root Beer Soda Float. The wait for our personal size pizzas would be a lengthy one, at least twenty minutes, which for about a nine inch pizza pie, is still a considerable amount of time. But once you do get the pizzas you order, I can report it is well worth the wait, as the pizza has that extra special graininess to it that makes it extra special good. Combined with the fresh tomatoes and an abundance of mozzarella cheese, you cannot go wrong with any type of pizza you order. I liked my All-Star pizza pie with its abundance of meat toppings and I tried my dining mates Sweet Heat pizza pie and it came as delivered as it has a combination of sweetness meets spiciness. Luckily our wait wasn't too long, as we had our ice cream and soda floats to keep us satiated while we waited for our pizzas to be handcrafted. Our total bill was $42.08, which was with tax but before gratuity, which in all reality was very reasonable considering we ordered two rather large personal deep dish pizzas, and our floats were a mere fraction less in terms of pricing. Since they have a Happy Hour on weeknights from 3-5:30 p.m. with reasonably priced cocktails, one-topping pizzas and other menu items at affordable pricing, you better believe it will not be another decade that passes by before I make another appearance. Here's to the continued success of Little Star Pizza, may more locations be in the future, and may their current locations continue to thrive thanks to their delectable Signature Deep Dish pizzas!

Since the only other pie I'd previously had there was the brown butter sage -- delicious, though I've learned lemon on pizza simply isn't my thing -- I decided to go with their classic Benchmark margherita instead. It absolutely delivered. This is Neo-Neapolitan pizza done right: bright, fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, torn basil, and a beautifully balanced crust with a perfectly thin base, nicely charred underside, and those airy, leopard-spotted edges that make wood-fired pizza so satisfying. Simple, restrained, and incredibly well executed. It was an unusually warm evening, so I opted to sit outside. My only real complaint is that the tables closest to the street sit noticeably on a slant, making it a bit of a challenge to keep plates and glasses from slowly sliding downhill throughout the meal. A small detail, but worth noting. That said, the staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, and the overall experience was exactly what I was hoping for. One final recommendation: do yourself a favor and ask for a side of olive oil for dipping the crusts. It's the perfect finishing touch. I'll absolutely be back the next time the craving strikes.

Fried sage pizza with a chopped salad is a family favorite. Add a choc chip sea salted cookie for dessert. The dine-in experience is great: outdoor seating with a nice view that goes great with a beer or cocktail on a sunny afternoon. The waitstaff are friendly and skilled. The takeout experience is mostly good, but a few things could be better. I'd like the option to remove onions from my takeout pizza. And: Lately the chopped salad has been presented in a plastic takeout box with the ingredients separated into other plastic containers. This leaves the customer to basically create the salad from the ingredients, then deal with a bunch of plastic waste. Better to go back to the old method: compostable box with the ingredients tossed by Benchmark, giving the customer the option to have Benchmark toss the dressing or do it themselves. When I order an expensive salad, I expect a salad, not a collection of separate ingredients for me to mix myself. And the plastic detracts from the experience and adds waste to the environment.
