Food is alright here, but the thing I'm off with is the customer service. Cam here at 8:30pm today and ordered and when asks for here or to go, I responded for here. Then was told that they were no longer doing for here. So I asked what time they were closing and the cashiers asks her colleague and the colleague responds we're no longer doing for here. Which I respond with "I know, I'm asking what time you're closing." Then she responds 10pm. Ambiance is also alright, a bit dirty. I also noticed the colleague of the cashier bring cleaning supplies to the bathroom and started cleaning with gloves , then came back handling food with the same gloves. 1 Star I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt I should share it. I placed an online order for a 10-piece wing combo with pink lemonade. I paid extra for extra seasoning and also requested extra crispy, figuring that extra crispy would mean the wings would be cooked a little longer. Unfortunately, my order was disappointing from start to finish. First, the wings had very little seasoning, even though I paid extra for it. More concerning, the inside of some of the chicken was still raw. I have photos of my receipt showing the extra seasoning request, and the food itself speaks for itself. The pink lemonade also tasted off and was not enjoyable. I probably wouldn't have written a review if it had only been a food issue, because mistakes can happen. What pushed me to leave this review was the attitude of the employee at the front counter, an Asian woman who handed me my order. As someone who works in customer service myself, I was genuinely surprised by how unpleasant and dismissive the interaction felt. A better attitude and attention to detail could have made a big difference. After eating the food, I became sick. Within about 10 minutes, I vomited, and I ended up leaving work early because I wasn't feeling well. While I can't say with certainty what caused it, the timing was concerning given the condition of the chicken. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Still, i would say when it slows down they try to clean up a bit. The service is decent, they serve your food out fast. I would say this place is OK, but definitely not the best. The chicken wings are on fire at the newest location of Fire Wings in the Pinole Gateway Shopping Center off of the Pinole Valley Lane exit off of Interstate 80. I am so happy they chose to open this location in Western Contra Costa County as we do love our chicken wings and our regions could use a little competition for the few Wingstop locations that happen to populate this area, so enter Fire Wings Pinole, which replaced a place the previously housed a location of Tropical Smoothie Café (their sign saying that they still exist still overlooks the Interstate-80 freeway). Chicken wings can be hit or miss depending on your preferences for all things sweet and spicy especially when it comes to the sticky sauce that covers them all including your hands. But with this location, I am always down to support them and see what makes them so special, especially when deciding to open a new location of a franchise that is unfamiliar to many fans of those classic wings in a competitive landscape such as the Bay Area is always a challenge. Thankfully the Pinole Gateway Shopping Center has plenty of parking spaces so making a visit at any time of the day without any hassle is not an issue. Upon entry to this location of Fire Wings one will notice a sports bar with three flat panel television screens playing sports along the wall. It's a fast casual ordering operation at Fire Wings, where they take your order at their counter and call out your number when your order is complete. The menu at Fire Wings is rather robust as in addition to selling Chicken Wings, both bone-in and boneless, they also sell Chicken Tender Sandwiches, Big Sandwiches, Chicken Fries, Chicken Strips, Chicken Tenders & Beyond Tenders, Salads and Sides. Although with so much to choose from for my first time here, I came for their Chicken Wings and nothing more. They offer Chicken Wings by the piece at servings of 10, 20, 40, 60 and 100 wings. Since this was a visit to try out their wing menu I ordered their 10 Wings with 2 flavors and one dip. They have an abundance of flavors to choose from and they come in three categories Classic, Dry Rub and Fusion. For my flavors, I ordered five wings of their Cali Rub, which is a dry rub flavor and is described as a smoky and sweet mild heat backyard BBQ rub; and five wings of their Dragon, which is a fusion flavor that is described as sinfully sweet, thick and bold. It does take a while for your wings to be prepared, which I would assume means they take their time to handcraft their signature wings, as everything is made to order and pre-made ready to go, which I consider good. My total bill would be $13.16 before gratuity would be added in, which was reasonable. Upon taking my meal home, I did notice in their packaging they don't separate your chicken wings by flavor which is unfortunate as the wetness of the dragon flavor totally oozes over to the dry rub making everything wet thus ruining the flavor of the dry wings, especially when the complimentary dipping sauce of marinara was added in. I did find everything flavorful and nicely made, so consider me a fan, so much so that I would make a return visit many months later with the knowledge of my previous visit in hand, and this time I again ordered a 10 piece Chicken Wing order this time both Dry Rub flavors with Cali Rub once again making my order this time with Salt & Pepper as a Boneless Wing option as it as a "delicious wing with a spicy zing." When combined with the complimentary dipping sauce this time being ranch, I was sold with the bounty of flavor. With boneless, it could be confusing as what is the difference between that and a tender, turns out a lot as it gives the appearance of a bone but still whole worth feasting on. The total bill has gone up with time, as it cost my $14.59 this time around, which I suppose inflation is really setting in now. As Fire Wings continues its newfound domination of the competitive Chicken Wing dining scene, I cannot wait to try more of their menu items, and see where they open next! read more

Good food, really bad hygiene and food handling. I saw one of the kids that work here take garlic noodles out of the fridge and toss them in a pan and then use his hands to break up the frozen noodles into the pan. His hands were gloved but he had been using those same hands to touch counters, pan handles,rags and dishwater. When he noticed I was watching he changed the gloves and started using tongs to stir the noodles. The food is pretty good but the way it's handled is really nasty. After visiting a few times, I have concluded that lemon pepper, dragon, Thai chile bone-in wings, garlic noodles, and their seasoned fries with a side of ranch are my favorites. The flavors are so tasty! Lemon pepper is classically yummy with the savory citrus pop and Dragon/Thai Chile has the Asian savory sweet glaze with a hint of spice that I gravitate to. The wings are hot crispy and cooked well. The service is pretty prompt and the place is vibrant with TVs. Only outstanding item was the Nashville Tender Fries. Cooked to perfection, fries were crisp and tasty, saucing was perfect, and chicken tender slices were fluffy and juicy. Overall the wings were nicely cooked and tasty, but could not finish as I'm sensitive to sour foods that causes numbness in my mouth. It seems that a majority of these issues could have been avoided had the two staff members previously mentioned paid more attention to the job rather than screwing around and running their mouths as if they are in a high school locker room. I'm pretty sure my wings were in the second box on the prep counter, but the female never opened the box, just put it in the bag with all the other items.
