It was nice to have a place that offers meat alternatives here in Pinole. Their outside area is pretty nice. It looks out to some trees and a stream, which give it some nice forest vibes. Of course, the tables outside are a little dirty compared to the inside ones but you're outside -- so that's natural. The hashbrowns were crispy and they don't play with the servicing size for the eggs Benedict!

Delicious comfort food Breakfast anytime Huge portions The milk shakes is so thick that it requires a spoon to eat it! Has way too many good flavors too. Has too many favorites to list. You just gotta go try it yourself! Great local watering hole.

The Original Red Onion sets the foundation for Pinole! The perfect spot for your typical diner style dinner with huge portions. This spot has very hefty burgers, amazing chili cheese fries, and amazing desserts. Arrived on a Thursday night for dinner with my boyfriend and dog and we were sat outside. We were served by Isa (girl with red hair) and she was so kind and attentive. Thank you for your amazing service! She also got me an extra soda to go and I forgot to take it with me before leaving :(( lol. If you're reading this Isa IM SO SORRY GIRL HAHA Please come try this place out! This joint is consistently good and service is very fast. I'll 100% be coming back for my burger and milkshake fix.

The new Elaine scramble was incredibly tasty and filling. I ordered it out of curiosity of the pineapple spam combination and was very pleased with the salty tangy flavor. Can't beat scrambled cheesy eggs and handmade hash browns. This is a great family and dog friendly place. The servers were extremely friendly and catered to my labradoodle too.

Ahhhhh what a neighborhood staple!! It hasn't changed in years ((IN A VERY GOOD WAY))!! Food: amazing! Hot, fresh, made to order!! Plenty food for seconds/leftovers always!! Staff: super sweet, accommodating and friendly. Even when they are busy they are still kind. Price: prices are good for all the food you get. Wether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will get your moneys worth! Ambiance: small on the inside but can't still accommodate a nice amount of people ((IT IS VERY WARM INSIDE)). Outside patio area is very nice and covered! GET THE CHICKEN CRACKLINS!!! They are SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD AND SO ADDICTING!!!

Great burger! Used to come here a lot and it's been a while but still as good as I remember and still as hefty (usually ends up as two meals for me). I don't think I've had anything other than a burger but why would you They have new milkshake flavors and desserts, which were always solid choices. Looks like they built out a nice outdoor patio as part of a refreshed interior. On this visit, some of the staff was friendly and helpful, one or two seemed they didn't care to be there. Not sure if that's typical (hopefully not).

My family has been coming here for years for their bacon, ranch, and cheddar fries. We usually just take that to go, but we decided to grab a table and eat there. The bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions was just alright, honestly nothing too special. I would still come back for the bacon, ranch, and cheddar fries though!! It's pretty large and shareable, and they're not stingy with the toppings. Quick service and not too busy. It's small inside but there are seats inside and outside on the patio.

Our 19th hole was here today. Of the seven of us only hubby & myself had never been here. It's located in a strip mall by the local high school. The parking lot is one way only. We missed the driveway and had to loop back around. The entrance looks like a side door. There's a service counter to your immediate right and a unisex bathroom to your immediate left. Once we were all seated and had an opportunity to look over the breakfast & lunch menus, our orders were taken. Hubby went with chicken and waffle. Once his order was brought to the table there were 7 drumsticks with a thin crisp waffle. I went with the bacon pepper jack cheeseburger with grilled onions and everything on it. Medium well. Cooked to order. Food was very good. A couple folks ordered fries and onion rings. Generous baskets and fried hot and crispy. The menu is very diverse. They offer a wide range of different food. There's something for everyone. Service was friendly and efficient We requested three separate checks which was no issue as they use a handheld device where you tap your credit card.

We arrived on time and at first we were sat down inside and we asked if we could move outside and at the girl said they didn't have anything, and then we asked possibly the manager/owner (didnt ask him who he was) but he did check and there was one table but it didn't have an umbrella which we were okay with. So, it was nice that we were able to sit outside on a nice day. We all ordered the unlimited mimosas which were nice. For our meals, we ordered the Chorizo hash Benedict, the Corn beef and hash Benedict, and the burger. The Corn Beef Benedict was good, the eggs cooked perfect, the corn beef was pretty good, and the potatoes were crispy like we like them. The Chorizo hash Benedict was also delicious, it wasn't greasy like some Chorizo can be, and the eggs also cooked perfect. The only thing it could have used was some more Hollandaise sauce on them all. There was very little amounts on them all. The burger was cooked perfect and it was also good. Mimosas made up for it. Our food came out in a good time frame and the service was also good.

The garlic bread was disappointing though, maybe it was because we came in an hour before closing on a holiday and staff and cooks were just ready to leave but overall we were satisfied with the food and service. Nonetheless I'm confident I will update my review the next time I come from a 3 star to potential a 4 or 5!

If you can't season then you shouldn't serve Cajun food. My pregnant wife ordered Pork Chop and Eggs which she had to send back and luckily they removed it from our bill, it was so plain and under seasoned. All our food was really underwhelming. My parents said the grits were really good there but this time they tasted almost as bland as water. Their is reason to believe this place has switched ownership and it trying to save money. There use to be a line out the door and we came at 11:30am on a Sunday and there was only 5 tables occupied... The Pear Salad has always been my go-to, and happy it's still on the menu. Chopped lettuce, gorgonzola crumbles, candied walnuts, champagne vinaigrette, and pear slices. I also enjoyed the Cheese Please for sharing, which comes with toast, three different cheeses, dried cranberries, pears, candied walnuts, and olives. Can you sense the pear theme? We were heading to a play at the Pinole Community Playhouse (walkable & across the street), but check out Pear Street's fun happy hours, events, and weekly specials. However, if the drink is made wrong or disgusting.. there shouod be understanding around that. We ordered the bottomless Mimosas. It seemed like it was difficult to get a grenadine on the side because I had to constantly ask for it. We had to talk to the manager because our waitress was not consistent with the pouring of bottomless. We lost about 30 to 45 mins of time because of it. The manager understood and granted us more time. I also did not like that fact that our finished plate sat on the table way longer than what they should have. Maybe the waiter was overwhelmed or overworked.

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting.
