First timer here! Very good impression so far. I really like these classic burger joints. It was deceiving though because they're above and beyond all of the other burger joints. They also serve other items like hoagies, sandwiches, teriyaki plates, and more. I can only speak for their Philaburger, which was one greasy delicious mess. Make sure you say yes to the cheese. Everything really meshed well especially the pastrami. Definitely worth a trip to try it out. I'm also really glad they gave extra napkins because this was messy to eat. 10/10 still. The folks running this place are also super nice. They saw me chasing after napkins that flew away and prepared more before I even asked. They also had a small table for the customers, which is nice because we got to fully enjoy the burgers. I work down the street from here and wanted to try it. Being my first time, I asked what they recommended. In the end I got the Bacon Cheeseburger and Garlic Fries with ranch sauce and a Root Beer. The burger had some weight to it. I knew I was gonna get my moneys worth. Garlic Fries could've used a bit more garlic but the texture and flavor was on point. It's been a while since our last visit to Phila Burger Station, and we were happy to see the same owner still there and as friendly as ever. We remembered how good the hoagies were, and they did not disappoint. This time we ordered the Teriyaki Beef Hoagies, which were delicious and packed with flavor. The fries were cut nice and thick, with the salt served on the side so you can season them to your liking. We also tried the pineapple shakes, which had just the right balance of sweetness and pineapple flavor. The restaurant is order-and-pickup style, making it a quick and easy stop for a great meal. Standard order comes with Miracle Whip, I was too chicken to try it and went with regular mayonnaise instead. I'm willing to come back and give Miracle Whip a try, but if I comeback, I'm definitely getting a double burger or trying a Phila Burger. 4.1/5 Garlic fries were ok. Order came with a dollop of minced garlic, would have preferred if it had been tossed for a more even coating. 3.3/5 The absolute highlight of this visit was the service. Being my first visit, the cashier was incredibly patient and took extra time to go through the menu with me and giving recommendations. But this was not an isolated incident. In the short 10 minutes I was there, I watched as this cashier welcome back a old regular, give a child a small to-go cup of ice cream, and patiently work with a customer as they were experiencing technical payment difficulties. I haven't eaten here in years. Was really excited to go back there when I was in the area. First thing I noticed was that they're serving you at a plexiglass window now. The cheesesteak sandwiches are still on point. Don't remember it being so small but nevertheless it's still delicious. The milkshakes 10/10. A burger place that has served the Richmond/San Pablo area for years!!! Been coming since I was in High school, and the food never disappoints. Bacon cheeseburger with fries or Philly cheese steak are my favorite! Besides the food the owner is super chill, friendly, and attentive. The place is typically pretty busy and crowd of people line up during lunch hours. Feels amazing to see the place thriving. I do miss being by able to go inside, sit, eat, talk, and hang out. It was a lowkey spot and it seemed to be a sit in turned take-out after COVID. Really small and neat with stickers of local businesses. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake, and everything was fresh and made to order. Fries were not cold and leave salt and pepper packets to your liking.
