    Cheeseburger
    Eric K.

Ordered a mushroom cheesesteak, a cheeseburger, and garlic fries. Mushroom cheesesteak was decent. Maybe wish it was a little bigger. 3.8/5 Cheeseburger was good. Standard order comes with Miracle Whip, I was too chicken to try it and went with regular mayonnaise instead. I'm willing to come back and give Miracle Whip a try, but if I comeback, I'm definitely getting a double burger or trying a Phila Burger. 4.1/5 Garlic fries were ok. Order came with a dollop of minced garlic, would have preferred if it had been tossed for a more even coating. 3.3/5 The absolute highlight of this visit was the service. Being my first visit, the cashier was incredibly patient and took extra time to go through the menu with me and giving recommendations. But this was not an isolated incident. In the short 10 minutes I was there, I watched as this cashier welcome back a old regular, give a child a small to-go cup of ice cream, and patiently work with a customer as they were experiencing technical payment difficulties. Phila Burger is shining light of what a local, small business should be in a community. I will gladly be returning.

I haven't eaten here in years. Was really excited to go back there when I was in the area. First thing I noticed was that they're serving you at a plexiglass window now. The cheesesteak sandwiches are still on point. Don't remember it being so small but nevertheless it's still delicious. The milkshakes 10/10. I will have to get fries or two cheesesteak sandwiches next time because one isn't filling enough.

Amazing casual burger shop that cannot be missed! The service is so kind and helpful. And the menu is simple but don't let that fool you. What they do they do well! I ordered the phila burger which has pastrami on it in addition to the regular cheeseburger fixings... I was blown away by EVERY bite. How? What? Why?!!! I don't understand why there's never a line out the window! So good, savory, just the right amount of delicious pastrami blended in, the cheese is something else... I didn't even need any fries. I was in heaven. Do not disturb. Go here. Now. Best kept secret in the Bay y'all...

It's been awhile since I've been. Came during lunch and it was packed. Picked up a cheese steak hoagie with no tomato, extra mayonnaise and omg was it moist!!! Bread was soft and the meat was tender. Would come back 10/10!!

Staff was super friendly. I told him I have been on a cheesesteak kick and asked him to make the sammich HE would order. It didn't disappoint at all. I felt it was priced fairly for the portion and quality. I'm in the area often and this is going to be a place I go often.

Solid in flavor, small in size. It's a ToGo spot, so if you hungry you'll be eating in the car. Homie at the window was accommodating tho, for sure. Phila Steak had like a slice of pastrami in there, it was aight. Woulda bumped up, but the sandwich was gone in two bites aha.

Finally tried this spot and it did not disappoint!!!! Service was great and quick! Ordered two cheese burgers, fries and a cheese steak hoagie and it was only $30, which to me is a great price point. The size of the burgers was worth the price point a well. Thick patty soft bun and red onion. I absolutely loved it. Star of the show was the cheese steak hoagie. The bun, meat and cheese were literally married to each other I enjoyed it I will definitely be back. Side note it's an order up and take to go window. No dining inside.

Got the regular cheesesteak. Really good but pretty small for the money. Might need to order double sandwiches when you come.

I had the Marina Burger. The idea of goat cheese sounded good...not on a burger, however...zero seasoning to either of our double patties, so adding whatever doesn't help...no discernible flavor other than overwhelming sloppy goat cheese. The bacon was rubbery...and interesting, also no flavor...bacon w/o flavor?! Ugh. Patties cooked fine...just nothing special. The onions were horrible - sloppy, overcooked...just unappealing. Now I ordered the garlic parm fries...these are horrid. ALL the parm and garlic was at the *bottom,* not a topping, nothing sticked to the fries. Had to eat them with a fork, scooping this non-flavorful topping up w/ the fries...and the garlic is the worst I have ever had...zero flavor, and the parm? Where? It was there, only again, zero flavor. The fries at this place are frozen and have no potato flavor *at all*...so all in all none of either of our meals had any flavor profile or layering...it was simply food...the after taste of grill - smoke flavor is yuck...unenjoyable food all around experience. Now if they say they didn't grill...where is the flavor of smoke coming from? The location is OK...band was on a break, so didn't hear them play...not too busy, but I am curious now what Golden State Kitchen not far from this place has to offer...that was my original choice... Backyard is a meh.

We waited longer than we expected, but good thing they have many monitors so we watched the World Cup while waiting for our food. When the food came, they were an impressive sight. The burgers were loaded and dripping with grease. My son liked his Fat Boi, but I thought the Al Pastor in the Trompo was a bit bland. The Trompo was also so greasy that grease was running down my hand and forearm while I am eating it, and I can feel my arteries hardening already! The Highway Style fries were decent. A smash patty laid between two layers of fries and then topped with melted cheese. It was decadent but a guilty pleasure. The kids gave the place 7-7.5 out of 10 and they said they would come back. There is no one in the place, there are four (high school aged) workers behind the counter. I stood there for a good minute. Not one came over to me. The order was NOT ready in fact, they didn't even make the fries. So they started the fries and I stood there while they were cooked. Why did you tell us it was ready when it wasn't remotely ready? I got my order and left, got home and realized the burrito wasn't there. I went all the way back and they said "we refunded the burrito, it's only served for breakfast" First off the menu does not say this. What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.
