Well it took me driving my 'cross the street buddy David to Kaiser for a old man procedure that required a "go back to home" driver (me) to finally give this dive a shot after the many decades of my own visits to Kaiser and often wondering....should I. ??? Pullin in my 2002 SI, the joint sent an arresting meaty aroma into the parking lot, a good sign..Dave ordered a classic 1/4 lb.cheeseburger minus the tomato? but with lettuce onions & pickle (I think). I made a wild & crazy choice....the Hot Pastrami Sandwich...that I've almost always exclusively ordered from Jewish delis (like Sauls in Berkeley or Langers in LA & Pastrami Queen in NYC) on light rye with fermented kosher pickles (except the one like those I had at Harry's Haufbrau in San Leandro) Any way ....what a surprise! Although not at all like the deli classics style, this generous pile of thinly sliced GRILLED smokey juicy meat with lettuce onions pickles tomato & just mustard on an oblong soft bun hit a homer! It was teriffic! As was David's cheesebuger even without the tomato?? (begged a bite) It's a neighborhood gem... too bad its a bit far but then again not as far as In N Out in Alameda or Pinole...will try the Philly Cheesestake next trip after I get released from the ER for cardiac arrest read more

Best shake I've ever had (pineapple banana) and I loved the seasoned fries. The shake tasted like a pineapple banana yellow cake with cream cheese frosting. Will definitely be back. I appreciated the seating (stools) on the side of the building so I didn't have to wait in the car. read more

Would not recommend the food here. The quality was terrible. I had a chicken sandwich and a burger both tasted gross and overpriced.

Burgers taste good, fries are really good. If you like buds in Vallejo the flavor is pretty similar but the build could use some love. Too much on the condiments which just slips the whole insides around and the onions are cut a half Inch thick lol. My tomato wasn't ripe and was hard so definitely could put some attention to the condition of the product. I just cut some of my own tomato and took out most of the onion and I enjoyed it. i've been wanting frosty king again for the past couple of weeks, but each time I arrive around 6-7pm they've been closed. On a Saturday I decided to call & check if they were open, to my surprise they were but told me they closed at 4pm. I believe maybe that is why they've been closed for the past couple of times i've passed, they've changed their hours but not sure. Anyways, I grabbed 4 combos for my family & I, with large fries on the side. I called ahead of time and placed my order. I arrived 10-20 minutes later and my order was ready. To my surprise the total was only $42 dollars. I thought this was a pretty good deal for 4 combos and some large fries. Pretty good environment with some pretty great food as well. My friend ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger Combo with Fries and a Pepsi ($6.75). The food was okay, the bacon was Turkey Bacon (wish it would've been real bacon or been given the choice of having real bacon) & the Burger Patties were the thin frozen patties. The Burgers were topped with cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes & your choice of mayo or thousand island dressing. It was good for a quick bite. The ice cream was really good and the prices were good for what you get. The staff was fast and helpful. Taught school at Nystrom 50 years ago. Frosty King was there then. Been driving by off and on for many years, almost daily since 2003. Finally stopped by this week. Double cheeseburger and fries, almost no words to describe how delicious. Haven't had a real burger in years. This one was even better than I could ever expect. And the fries, plenty of them and just a bit crisp but so soft and tasty. Staff was helpful and pleasant helping this old man get what he wanted, just nice young guys. Explained carefully what "with everything" meant. Went with hold the pickles. Whole thing was spectacular. Will be back soon.
