Called in an order and drove over to pick it up. The space is small and you go inside and order. The staff was super friendly and very easy going and relaxed. It almost made you feel happy to be in there or it was the delicious smell of burgers and fries. Got home and the order was perfect. The food tasted so good and still very warm. The fries were good as well. They look like in n out style fries because I think they make them fresh in house but the flavor was fantastic and tasted waaay better. Everything tasted perfectly seasoned and fresh. There have been a few burger places popping up in Richmond but this is THE spot to go. Between the friendly customer service. The amazing food and the price is very good considering how big and tasty the portions are. 10/10 for me and Golden State is THE go too burger spot. read more

Highly recommend their double Golden Burger! It reminded me of a McRib but infinitely better. The soft bun was a nice touch.. would be better if they toasted it a bit to give that added texture. We did had a slight issue with one of the orders but the lady remade it without any pushback. I appreciate the positive experience. One thing I can't find it in me to recommend is their hot cheetos fries. It was way too soggy from the cheese. The fries didn't feel fried first. Maybe it's just me but this would've been pretty good if they fried the fries well then add the cheese and hot cheetos crumbs on top. Overall, I was still satisfied with this place. read more

A solid spot in Richmond when you're craving a good burger and fries. Stopped by Golden State Kitchen after school with BB for a quick bite. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The burger was fresh and flavorful, and the fries were a highlight -- perfectly seasoned and served hot. Service was good and the food came out quickly, which made it an easy stop for a casual meal. They also have a new bright sign outside, which makes the location much easier to spot when driving by. Parking is limited street parking, so you may need to take a moment to find a spot. This spot doesn't look like much, but the food is fire. I had the golden star burger and hot Cheeto fries. My friend had the cheeseburger with garlic Parmesan fries. I loved it so much I almost forget to take a pic. The burger is crisp and with caramelized onions it's amazing. My only feedback would be to make a burger special with those free chilis, chopped on the side cause the kicked everything up. read more

I really enjoy the food from this place. There's nowhere to sit on the inside you just order and take your food to go. The cheese burgers is really juicy The patty was thick not a Smashburger and season really well. This time I came back for breakfast ,andI got the lox bagel. The bagel was so fresh. I should've got it toasted! . Service was fast. They gave me a little beeper to let me know once my food was ready. It wasn't very busy, but I will definitely be back!!! read more

Just visited for the first time and that burger was delicious (bacon cheese burger). I've been to probably every burger spot in Richmond. This is definitely top 3 or 4. Great prices, quick service, lots of flavor. The garlic Parmesan fries were delicious too. You wouldn't know this place was located where it is. But I can appreciate the simpleness of it. Gotta try and stop by for breakfast and see what that's hitting for. read more

This establishment popped up recently in a rather strange area of the city. We drive by it taking our daughter to daycare. Today both my wife and I are working from home. We decided to get some burgers and garlic fries. WE ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED! The burgers are well seasoned smash style and cooked beautifully. The buns are fluffy. The produce is fresh. The bacon on my bacon burger was crisp, not rubbery. The garlic fries are fork worthy. They're thick with the garlic and Parmesan. We will most definitely be eating here regularly.
