We've been to Marty's Grill a few times now and we always come for their philly cheesesteaks! We like that there's a drive thru where you can order, so you won't have to get out of the car lol. The drive thru orders don't take that long either. The owner is very friendly and a chill guy. He shows great customer service every time we come by and makes sure we're always good. It looks like their burgers are another favorite as well, so I'm hoping to try that next time we come back! However, my go-to is the philly cheesesteak! Okay, first time here and my co-worker and I enjoyed it. This is a fairly new spot and they serve burgers, fish and other items. I had a fried fish sandwich that was very good. It was HOT which is huge for me and the flavor was on point. It could've used a little extra tarter but trust me, I will return. I ordered the onions rings and enjoyed those as well. Coworker got the 6pc panko crusted shrimp with fries and she was very pleased. I wanted to badly to enjoy the place and support my community. Sadly I will not return. First Visit: I ordered a Chicken salad. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. the salad came with two containers of ranch. I was a little disappointed that I ordered in advanced but I still had to stand around and wait for my order. No biggie. So I decided to return. Second visit: I ordered online. I ordered the chicken salad, but this time I asked for extra ranch and avocado. I wanted a little more umph to this salad. When I arrived there was lots of waiting, despite ordering in advanced. Finally, The worker started packing my order in bag, when I noticed he only packed two containers of ranch. I told him that I ordered an extra ranch. He said "yes you're only supposed to get one, I'm giving you two." I explained that previously I received two without being charged. Without any accommodation he moved on and kept assisting other people. I was very turned off. Did he really think I wanted to get away with getting free extra ranches??? Anyway once I opened my salad, I couldn't find the avocado! It's huge salad and they literally gave me an 8th of an avocado and charged extra money I'm done. People deserve better than this. Marty's Grill is a diamond in the rough. My partner had a craving for a burger and we decided to give this spot a try. It replaced Hacienda Grill, which I was originally bummed about but after my visit, I'm content. To be honest, what stood out for me was how clean this place was in comparison to its predecessor. I went on the weekend and it was pretty empty so I hope that when I imagine it's busier during the week that they're able to maintain that. My partner got a bacon cheeseburger with fries which were a decent bite. I opted for a chop cheese which I hadn't ever had and was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of the flavor of a Big Mac without the disappointment. If you're like me and don't know what a chop cheese sandwich is, it's pretty much a ground beef sandwich with fixings. I don't think I need to order it again but next time I'm across the street for a doctor's appointment at Kaiser I'm likely to drop by and give their Philly cheesesteak a try. Ample parking, someone would say more than necessary. Drive-through is a plus, can't comment on the wait time for the drive-through but my dine-in order came out rather quickly. The staff here are always so friendly and they've served the food hot off the grill everytime I order from here. Some of my favorites from Marty's include the bacon cheeseburger and the grilled chicken wrap. The food is just the right portion and isn't super oily like at most diner spots. The restaurant sits conveniently across from Kaiser and the Richmond Post Office, and is about 1-2 blocks away from BART. It's spacious, open, and in an area where you can get plenty of people passing by. The hours here are also convenient!
