I literally JUST left this place, and whew... apparently ordering ONE burrito was asking for entirely too much. I called to place a pickup order. I asked for a super burrito, asked what meats they had, and after she listed steak, chicken, al pastor, etc., I asked if they had lengua. She said no, so I said, "Okay, I'll take steak." She asks, "Anything else?" I said, "Can you cut it in half?" She starts speaking Spanish, so I'm like, "What?" Then, clearly annoyed, she gets loud and goes, "YOU WANT IT CUT IN HALF?" Yes, ma'am. That is literally what I just said. I hung up and immediately thought, "Damn, hella rude." Fast forward 5 minutes. I walk in and say, "Pick up please." Her: "TWO BURRITOS?!" Me: "No... one burrito. One steak burrito, cut in half." Apparently "cut in half" somehow turned into "make two burritos." And instead of simply realizing there was a misunderstanding, she gives me the stankest face and acts irritated with ME the entire time. Ma'am... YOUR mistake is not MY inconvenience. What I should've done was leave both burritos sitting right there because at that point, the attitude had already ruined it for me. For a small-town business, that is a WHOLE lot of attitude toward someone simply trying to give you money. And judging by some of the previous reviews mentioning similar customer-service experiences, apparently I'm not the first one. I forgot to mention...while I was standing there waiting, she took another phone order and VERY loudly repeated and clarified the customer's order back to them. Shame on you, Crockett Cocina. We live local and have had several good experiences with dining in and take out, love the food quality. But, today my husband and I tried to spend our (very rare) date night on your patio and it was a complete nightmare. There were understandable technology issues that were explained by your host. We get it. However, we sat with warm beers for 45 minutes waiting for food that never arrived. During that time we watched to-go orders and other dine in orders that came in after us be delivered to the table and consumed. No offer of chips or beers on the house. No accountability or apology. When I went inside I told you this wasn't acceptable and not ok to charge us, you did anyway. This isn't a good look for a local restaurant that needs local support. My wife and I went to CC for dinner only to get a sticky table with particles of food on it and trash on the ground. After the wife went in to get menus, she came back and I went inside to ask for napkins to clean the table. She's placed our order for 2 orders of street tacos, (simple right?) and after 45 minutes of waiting (and my beer already consumed!) the hostess came out to wipe down tables, "your order is coming!". We ended up leaving and telling them to NOT CHARGE us for anything, you'd think they'd be welcoming to offer us fresh beers and chips for the inconvenience. Solid 4 for food, service and ambiance. We got there at 11:30 on a beautiful, slightly toasty Friday (~80°) for lunch under the covered patio. The calamari and fish had a panko-style breading. Both were cooked perfectly. If you are a french fries lover, you have to try the Papas Bravas. Wedge potatoes topped with bacon, a spicy chipotle aioli with a side of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa verde to make it the perfect appetizer. I loved the House Made Cioppino. The tomato base was the perfect backdrop for the perfectly cooked seafood and toasted focaccia-type bread sticks. Husband took home 1/2 of his generous portion of fish & chips. We were really disappointed in the customer service. I had called in today and had asked about the Happy Hour specials and specifically asked about the Calamari and Shrimp fritti misto and the woman on the phone kept telling me all of the menu was available for the Happy Hour. So when we drove there the woman pointed out that it was only 10% off and not the $10 as mentioned here in Yelp. She seemed irritated that I asked and basically ignored us. So we just felt unwanted and left. Mind you also that this restaurant was entirely empty but that could have been because we were there early in the afternoon. Breakfast menu only served on weekends which was a bummer to find out when we got there. Inside can get stuffy and smell like cleaning supplies, luckily, they have a small outdoor area. Portions are huge! The fish and chips (friends got it with soup instead) was not your ordinary 2-3 fillets in heavy batter. Instead, it was one huge fish battered in panko crumbs which gave a better crunchiness to it without being super heavy. The clamp chowder was not your Campbell's out of the can. It was creamer without being too rich. The tuna melt was good on ciabatta bread, but the filling kept falling out. The chef came out with cookies for the kiddos which was nice. My faves are the chicken enchiladas verde (3), goat cheese salad with or without Frilled or fried chicken served with homemade bread. Their fish n chips feature a long generous breaded filet with perfect fries. Finish off with the best brownies or chocolate chip cookies you'll find. 5 Stars - Worth Every Penny After the initial sticker shock, once the food arrived it was clear why the prices are what they are -- absolutely worth it. What a lovely find on our over night adventure. We needed something to fuel our upcoming hike so this is where we ended up On the way out to the George Miller Trail. The only times I'm ever in Crockett is if I feel like hiking in either Crockett Hills (rare lately after a dog attacked me) or Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline (often because I can grab a cocktail at the Warehouse in Port Costa). Regardless I usually find myself driving past the town center except this time I decided to make a stop at this cafe that I last recall was a friendly taqueria named Judy's Place. That was a couple of years ago. Now it's become a kinda hybrid diner/burger/pasta place which certainly makes for a unique menu. I've stopped by a couple of times, and I have to admit the food fell a bit short each time. On my first visit, I tried the $13.99 Big Blue Wedge Salad, which was indeed a big plate with plenty of iceberg lettuce, crumbled blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, chopped green onion, and bacon bits. I decided to order the $19.99 Pasta Primavera with Chicken. The requisite vegetables were present - bits of broccoli, shards of zucchini, sliced mushrooms - as well as plentiful Parmesan shavings. First issue is they don't consider the fries to be part of the order but rather as a side dish when they are literally part of the name! So you have to pay extra for any other side. After getting a suggestion for a small restaurant in a small town of Crockett, I felt I had to check it out. Use your gps to get there because just getting off the freeway and trying to find your way to the restaurant is a little confusing. Crockett was known (a long time ago) for the C&H Sugar Factory. Crockett Cocina is next to a gas station and kind of near John Swett Highschool. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and it's very casual. You order at the front register and they bring the food to you. The service was very good. They are friendly and polite. The restaurant is clean and the decor is warm and inviting. The menu is eclectic even though the restaurant is kind of Mexican. They serve burgers, Mexican food, pasta, jambalaya, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, seafood ( fish n chips, cioppino, grilled salmon, calamari). I ordered the fish n chips which isn't like your typical battered cod. It's a big fillet that's floured, egged and panko'd so it's lighter. The portion was big and sat on a bed of fries(but you have a choice of fries, garlic fries, clam chowder). It comes with tartar sauce, lemon, and cocktail sauce. My wife had the street tacos which was delicious and you get three. I enjoyed the fish which came out hot and crispy and moist. I heard the clam chowder is good and I kind of want to try their cioppino. I definitely recommend this place since they offer such a diverse menu. They serve breakfast only on the weekends. They serve beer and wine so it's probably a good choice for after work dinner or happy hour (4-7pm). The prices are reasonable and the portions are big. I'll be back! read more

Had the Al Pastor Burrito that had the best small kick of spice, served with house tortilla chips with an amazing seasoning taste.
