This place is close to my work, and overall I had a really good experience. The atmosphere was clean, calm, and relaxing while I waited for my order, which I appreciated. Customer service was good as well. Funny enough, what actually set this sandwich apart from other sandwich spots around here was the bread. I noticed some reviews complaining about it, and while I've definitely had better bread before, I honestly didn't think it was bad at all--especially not the worst in the area. Overall, the sandwich tasted fresh, safe, and made with good quality ingredients. Nothing super over-the-top or life changing, but definitely solid. I do think a few small tweaks could take it from "good" to "really memorable," but as it stands, I'd still come back. I probably wouldn't drive all the way from home specifically for it, but for a work lunch spot? Absolutely. Out of the sandwich places nearby, this would probably be my pick. read more

I'm so happy this sandwich spot is in Martinez. They use real meat, not deli meat. I'm a turkey sandwich kind of gal and the first time I had a sandwich from here I was shockingly impressed with the meat. And it was good! I've had the Zula's, Kristine's, and Avo I Am sandwiches. All great. The sandwiches are thicck and taste like fresh produce is always used. The guys working there are so sweet. One day I ordered ahead and it was going to take a while. When I told them my name when I got there, they definitely started working on my sandwich a lot sooner. It's a cute place to sit and stay for lunch. I need to go back soon! read more

This is a new sandwich shop in downtown Martinez. I was really hoping to be dazzled, but instead it landed quite flat. I ordered a Classic sandwich = homemade roasted turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo WAS suppose to have Swiss cheese, but they were out, they did offer pepper jack cheese, no thank you. Overall the sandwich lacked flavor, almost flavorless. I can appreciate the homemade roasted turkey, but once on the bread it needs seasoning, salt, pepper, how about cranberry sauce of sorts. In short it just wasn't for me. Service was fine. Atmosphere was casual, little sandwich shop with a few tables to sit at inside. read more

Headed out to downtown in a day off on a walk with the dogs. Remembered that new sandwich place just opened up in market and main. If you come in from the back patio area and walk past the bar inside, it's right to your left. If your party is sitting outside they have actual menus. There are about 10-12 different sandwiches, Including pb&j! We got the turkey, bacon, and ham and the other was a Rueben sandwich. The time from order to when it came out seemed a bit long. But once it came out, it truly looked like they made it with love. On the Reuben there was an interesting dressing. It was on the sweeter side and there was a lot of it... made the sandwich a bit soggy. The other sandwich looked delicious and came with actual turkey, not processed. The bread was soft but there was a bit too much of that iceberg... not my favorite.. hopefully maybe they will switch to Romain. The prices range around 14.99 to 15.99 per sandwhich but it's definitely worth that price. This place is a great added feature to Market and Main. I hope they stay cause I would definitely be back to try the other sandwhiches! read more

I tried their Teriyaki chicken sandwich for lunch today and am officially obsessed! Ordered at the counter and took it to go to eat at home. Service was friendly and prompt. The sandwich was super flavorful and a nice size. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. They have a nice indoor seating area if you wanted to eat there and are also available on delivery apps. First time trying this place. Happy to see there's a family owned sandwich place in the area. I had their turkey sandwich (The Marina) with extra cranberry sauce and everything on it. Delicious!! I also got some breakfast bagels, yum!! Service was fast and friendly. The place was tidy with a few tables inside. It's good to eat in a place run by a family. I love tuna sandwiches and my wife loves Ruben's. Call it a "mixed marriage." We drove the short ride to Martinez, got a convenient parking spot and headed for Zula's. We had seen it in social media. Everything was top rate. They have a good selection of sandwiches, breads and condiments. The sandwiches are prepared by a very conscientious staff and tasted great. The place is cute and clean with quite a few tables. We are in our 80s and have had a lot of sandwiches in our day. It's worth a few minutes of driving to get this quality food and service. We will be regulars. read more

I finally met the brothers behind Zula's Sandwiches in Martinez, Aaron and Tony! They originally opened Zula's inside Market & Main; I'm so thrilled that they have their own beautiful space! This is truly a family affair; dad helps prep in the kitchen, and mom helps with the front of house when it's busy. The sandwich menu is much more extensive than I realized. How many spots have three different kinds of rye bread? I tried the homemade chicken salad on sliced sourdough and the potato salad. Both were delicious! I'm eager to try more of their sandwiches. I'm happy that this business got saved from Market and Main and were able to open up their own space. I love that they have real roasted turkey. I would really, really love it if they upped their game with their bread source. It's my only complaint and why I gave it only 3 stars. I had a turkey sandwich today on sliced sourdough and the bread was very lackluster. Maybe use Semifreddies bread?? Or maybe Acme. The bread is one of the major components and should be the best. I'd frequent more if that were the case. read more

Good little sandwich. Just kinda expensive for what it is. After tax and tip + 2 sodas it was like 24$. Sandwich was good. Got the BBQ chicken. I wish there was more veggies like like tomato or something. Sandwich was a good 8.5-9/10. I'll go back if I'm in the area. The spots relatively new so I think they're trying to figure it out themselves but they're doin fine. Just fyi Kinda hard to find, it's in the back left corner across from the bar if you come in from the street. Only giving it 4/5 stars simply for price to size ratio. IMO this is like a 12$ sando shoulda been maybe 18$ total. Still pretty good, just a lil pricy read more

Delicious sandwiches! Went today for the first time at their new spot. We got the Marina and the Salami. Was really impressed with the quality of meats and proportions! The Marina was not too sweet which I always worry about with a sandwich with cranberry sauce on it. So happy they found a new home after having to quickly depart the former Market and Main. First off, if you're not familiar this market location, you'll have no idea where this shop is, it does not face the street and it's hidden inside. Even if you are in the market, it's still hard to know where they are at. Go left, and keep walking! Cute little cut out, small but mighty. The two men working were very personable, had suggestions, and made a great sandwich. Even real turkey breast, not the lunch meat. We walked through the back of the market and ate our sandwiches at the brewery outside which was beautiful. The sandwiches were good but needed a little more sauce and flavor. An upgrade from the iceburg lettuce would take it up a notch for sure. read more

This place is a ripoff. They really skimp on the fillings. There were maybe two ounces of turkey, there was one thin slice of cheese, and there was hardly any avocado. There was a lot of bread. For $16.99 before tax, I expect a sandwich with ample fillings. read more

I loved the atmosphere, it feels very family friendly and a comfortable place to hang out. I love a chicken salad sandwich, so that's what I ordered. The east coast pizza looked soooo good in pictures and once it was in front of us but as soon as my son picked up a slice, all the toppings slipped right off of the very limp pizza. It ended up being a mess for the kids and myself scooping the cheese back onto the slices. We love thin crust pizza but they missed the mark somehow. Dough not cooked all the way? I'm not entirely sure but it was super messy which sucked because the flavor wasn't bad at all, although quite greasy. The cheesesteak my husband got was dry and lacked flavor. It's just American cheese on a roll with sliced steak. Where's the juicy flavorful cheesesteak everyone knows and loves? Edible, sure but I would not recommend to anyone. It was no good to us. Seems they need to adjust some of their recipes to make it worth going back.

You look at the description and you almost wonder if all of that is a little...too much. I'm here to tell you that it's not. It's the only way. There's just something about the zing and tang of combining both the Lemon Pepper with the Buffalo sauce that takes the flavors to a whole new level. On top of that you get a hint of sweetness with the hot honey. These are some of my favorite wings in town. Possibly actual favorite. I need to come back and have them again really soon. But just know that if you are wings fan, you gotta try P's Way. The Fish and Chips and Mac were also good. The Fish seemed a little less flavorful than I thought it was gonna be. The fries made it up for them though. I couldn't stop munching on those. The Mac was solid. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a just really good dish that was straight to the point. I just obviously was super obsessed with these wings when I went. The inside is very homey. Has a more publike vibe. I walk in and almost imagine that I'm on the water or at a pier or something. The people working here are usually very nice. The very last time I came here a guy took my order and forgot one of our items but I think he was new. Luckily this girl with a long blonde ponytail who had served us before asked us if we got everything. When we told her about our missing item she apologized a whole bunch and made everything better. Oh and of course they have amazing beers. Our favorites are the rotation of Dark Beers, Mexican Lagers and Ciders that they have. We have yet to ever have a bad pour. Im pretty sure if you like beer there should be something for everyone. Even Wine slushies if you don't care for beer. Hillside was one of me and my wife's places we would go to when we shortly lived in Martinez. Even though we are a bridge away, we can't wait to come back sometime soon.

My eyes have been opened…read more I'll admit. Theres certain places in town that I just still haven't tried even after living in Benicia for as long as I have. You know how it is right? If none of the people in your circle have tried it, it sometimes makes it a hard for one to make the leap of faith. After all, everything is pricier nowadays. So making sure you are getting your money's worth is more important more than ever. I'm glad that Sprankles always makes me feel confident about my purchase when I order from them. Recently I tried their Pastrami Club and was very impressed. Lots of good flavors. If you are person who loves extra meat or their sandwiches then I think you'd love this one. I do wish the bread held up a little better. Even though I appreciate the amount of content I get on the sandwich, I think that particular should be served on a more sturdier bread. If not then the meat could probably be reduced just a smidge. Other than that no other complaints. When you pick up your food you shouldn't have any problems with parking. Theres usually plenty of parking in their lot. I'm really looking forward to trying more things here at this cozy sandwich spot.

Over the holidays I wanted to try their version of crème brûlée and grateful to see the sugar crust right before serving was thick and lightly warmed from "fire" process as I know it should be served. Of course, smooth perfection rich custard followed! Their Salmon dinner & teriyaki wings, another favorite alongside the beer of my choice! I've also loved their innovative drinks that I've never tasted before, that they feature regularly. It's great to step into a place where the Waite staff seems to enjoy their environment and serving the public. Thank you Six Eleven for your 1.5 years now, family friendly restaurant & bar here in Martinez, a fun place to confidently bring a guest (especially when warm enough and outside seating is available) and also to shake a leg with the younger generation on an occasional weekend night.
