Husband and I were on the way to San Jose from Vallejo and he wanted a wrap or salad. Lunch @1350 was found. I ordered the Rueben pictured and I love a good Rueben and this was a great Rueben. My husband ordered the tri tip sandwich because he's a sucker for tri tip sandwiches it was also so delicious. This is definition of a hole in the wall place. Hidden in the back of businesses in a building. This is a must try place for sandwiches and cookies we will definitely be back. Service was great very nice ladies working there greeted us with a smile and explained their soup of the day and special of the day she brought the food to us and checked in after we were down with our meals. Very nice establishment must try if you're in the area or just heading through.

Tuna salad sandwich on Dutch crunch. Delicious!

Wow, wow, wow! I am so happy I searched Yelp for lunch recommendations and found this little spot. The employees were so friendly and welcoming that I wish I had the time to sit to eat lunch there. I got a tuna sandwich, my husband got an egg salad sandwich and we both got the side pasta salads. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Dutch crunch bread was incredibly fresh and so easy to bite down on. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

Tri-Tip sandwich with just bbq sauce and grilled onions. Really delicious!!

Wow!!! I have missed the famous tri-tip sandwich from Englund's cafe since to closed to focus on catering. I was looking for someplace different and not in Vallejo and chose this place for lunch. I walk in and kinda recognize one of the ladies and then I see the bbq rub for sale. I ask if this place is associated with Englund's. The lady I recognized opened this place with many of the same item. Place was spotless, service was perfect and my Tri-Tip sandwich was perfect. I will definitely be back.

Got revamped with new owners but still rocking delicious filling sandwiches! Don't go to a chain sandwich spot in Martinez; come here and visit these super sweet ladies that run the joint! Only open Monday-Friday during the lunch hours but so delicious! Fast service, clean interior, few tables to sit at if you want to eat there. The menu has a range of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wraps. The sandwiches are stuffed really full and the meats are high quality. They definitely don't skimp on toppings either! Several fresh soft breads to choose from. I always love me a Dutch crunch.

Walked in & was greeted by the lovely ladies working there. She took my order & didn't write anything down. Made my sandwich within about 3 minutes! & The payment process was easy! I bit into the sandwich and it was FRESH! Excellent job ladies, Thank you.

Wife for the longest talked up Engluds for as long as I've known her and was crushed when they closed their cafe a few years back. On a whim she called up and they recommended Lunch @1350 due to similar staff that worked there and started their own restaurant and boy was she excited! Turns out it's a very new spot but my goodness was the food delicious! I ordered the Sandwich which I inhaled half before I could take a picture and she got her favorite salad which was just like she remembered. Very fair pricing for quality and quantity of food we got. Definitely will have to be our lunch spot now and forever.

I loved their steak cesar wrap and their split pea soup was delicious. The wrap was huge, about the size of a super burrito.

The food was great for a reasonable price. The dining area is small, so it is better to get take out.

We also ordered the turnip cakes, shu mai, chicken feet, honey walnut shrimp, and sticky rice in lotus leaf (which they did not cheap out on and loaded it with Chinese sausage and salted egg, which most places leave out). Believe it or not, the highlight of our meal was their water. Their water has a clean, refreshing, lemony essence to it, so it just goes to show you how much they value attention to details.

Whether you're in town for jury duty, work, or play, here is a good lunch spot. I walked into Aberdeen Café during the lunch hour. Booths lined the wall on one side, and the bar was on the other. Korean pop music played softly while other customers ate lunch. I was seated at the booth and was served a glass of water to start. I got the #2015 Salt and Pepper Fish Filet lunch special with hot and sour soup of the day, egg roll, and substituted-in fried rice. I was served the hot and sour soup first. It was a wonderful appetizer. The classic spicy pepper and sour vinegar were balanced. The bits of crunchy mushroom and soft tofu added interest and texture to the thick broth. This was comfort in a bowl. The entree was delicious. The fried fish was hot off the wok when it arrived, steaming on the plate along with fried rice, broccoli, an egg roll, and some sweet and sour sauce. I enjoyed the fish; the heat of the jalapeno slices and the salt elevated the light crispiness and mild sweetness of the fish. The fried rice was light and fluffy with bits of egg. The sauteed broccoli had a solid crunch, and the vegetable egg roll was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was a good, satisfying lunch at Aberdeen Café. When I'm in the mood for comforting Cantonese food again, I'll be back for more.

I ordered the the happy hour burger and added bbq sauce , sautéed jalapeños and avocado. Perfect. Husband ordered Yowza! Bacon, fried onion rings, cheese and bbq sauce. The bbq sauce is house made and perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Chicken tenders- pounded chicken cutlets perfectly battered and crisp. Empanada - yes, empanada. This restaurant has Peruvian flare. It was excellent and it came with a delightful aji Amarillo sauce. I ended up using it in everything! We took a tamal home and it came with more aji sauce AND pickled red onions. Out of this world!!! Service was also friendly and super helpful without being over the top. So I thought maybe I ought to give Yowza Burger another shot. Afterall, they've been doing their thing for a while now, it might be okay. I ordered the French Dip with Au Jus. Verdict - NOPE. 1. Au Jus COLD, like straight out of the refrigerator 2. Onions overcooked 3. Bread wet 4. Tri-tip slab, not typical shaved 5. $20.00, you have got to be KIDDING?!?! 6. It's not always easy anymore finding a good restaurant serving a varied menu at reasonable prices…read more Seems like most places cater to specific tastes: Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. But JP's is the exception. It's cozy and generally quiet (despite the big breakfast and lunch crowds), with plenty of good food in every category. Service is always splendid, with a friendly, helpful staff. And it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is another exception and helps a lot, too. The breakfast and lunch items are particularly good, with practically any kind of breakfast food or lunch sandwich you can name. The only drawback is the dinner menu, which is somewhat limited. I suspect this is of necessity, with breakfast and lunch crowds being much bigger, what with work nearby from the county and such. Nevertheless, everything on the menu is cooked to perfection, so try the dinners, too, and you won't be disappointed.

A Solid and Generous 4+ Star Breakfast and Lunch Experience…read more Gayle and I came here yesterday after arriving in the Bay Area from our home in Genoa Nevada. It was about 11:30 when we walked in and snagged one of the few available seats left. Service was prompt and friendly, and the place buzzed with happy energy. It was all a log of food and in hindsight, both of us should have exchanged the potatoes for fresh fruit. Both of us also ordered coffee, with both of us agreeing that it was fresh and very good. We also enjoyed the diner ambiance which we though suited JP's very well.
