If these aren't the best sandwiches in Martinez, please point me in the right direction. It ain't cheap but it's delicious, fresh, and served by some super nice neighbors. Husband and I were on the way to San Jose from Vallejo and he wanted a wrap or salad. Lunch @1350 was found. I ordered the Rueben pictured and I love a good Rueben and this was a great Rueben. My husband ordered the tri tip sandwich because he's a sucker for tri tip sandwiches it was also so delicious. This is definition of a hole in the wall place. Hidden in the back of businesses in a building. This is a must try place for sandwiches and cookies we will definitely be back. Wow, wow, wow! I am so happy I searched Yelp for lunch recommendations and found this little spot. The employees were so friendly and welcoming that I wish I had the time to sit to eat lunch there. I got a tuna sandwich, my husband got an egg salad sandwich and we both got the side pasta salads. Everything was absolutely delicious! The ladies working here are so sweet, they feel like aunties. I've gotten the soup and half-sando combo twice now. Turkey and tomato soup. And pastrami and tomato soup. I liked both but the turkey was the best. The tomato soup has pesto in it which is ingenious. I've also had the hot link sandwich. It's a cozy spot if you dine in and taking to go is easy too. Wow!!! I have missed the famous tri-tip sandwich from Englund's cafe since to closed to focus on catering. I was looking for someplace different and not in Vallejo and chose this place for lunch. I walk in and kinda recognize one of the ladies and then I see the bbq rub for sale. I ask if this place is associated with Englund's. I decided to try the chicken salad sandwich. They have a great 1/2 and 1/2 special, including a 1/2 sandwich and the soup of the day, a hearty chicken noodle. Their chicken salad is the bomb; my new favorite! The soup was delicious, too. I decided to order the tri-tip wrap for dinner. OMG, it's huge and scrumptious! Their wraps are definitely shareable. Ok I was a little surprised at its location. Going into an office building thinking I'm going to see a lawyer or dentist. Open mind tho. Just beware that it's around a corner upon entering the building and if you walk outside the next door you missed it . The smell will lead you ther tho. Wife for the longest talked up Engluds for as long as I've known her and was crushed when they closed their cafe a few years back. On a whim she called up and they recommended Lunch @1350 due to similar staff that worked there and started their own restaurant and boy was she excited! Turns out it's a very new spot but my goodness was the food delicious! I ordered the Sandwich which I inhaled half before I could take a picture and she got her favorite salad which was just like she remembered. Very fair pricing for quality and quantity of food we got. This place is the best and will be coming back regularly now that I've found it . I used to frequent. Englunds in concord but they unfortunately closed a few years ago ago and never reopened to which I was very disappointed about fast-forward a few years and my friend told me about this place and sent me here to get lunch for everybody and I am extremely excited. We got to tri-tip sandwiches and one pork loin sandwich. The guys enjoyed their tri-tip sandwiches thoroughly and I enjoyed my pork loin sandwich which was exceptional, and I have not had a pork loin sandwich since englunds closed . Both the ladies working inside or wonderful talkative and informative and great to work with and have make some delicious food for you. I get a craving for Lunch @ 1350 all the time and when I do, there's nothing else I can have. Their food is so fresh and delicious. I am partial to their salads and hot sandwiches, but the cold sandwiches are great too. You will never get a wilted piece of produce from here and I love that consistency. The ladies who work here are so sweet and welcoming. It feels like family when you visit and even more so when you come back. They are always quick because they know you likely have to get back to work. They have sandwich boards out so you can find them easily from the parking lot as their location is tucked in a business center, but you can easily see it from the lot. read more
