Turkey pastrami toasted - needed more ingredients

Let's start with the good- the clam chowder and the sourdough bread were ok tasting. But wow- what an expensive sandwich for the portion you get! Super small sandwich with meager ingredients inside. So disappointed - I had such high hopes too. Please make your sandwiches worth it by adding more of what we pay for. I'll stick to Lucia's in Crockett for their delicious well-portioned sammies for the same price!

Food is awesome here Service is quick Ambiance is nice and quiet. We have been here twice now, both times the food was great. Fresh bread and the selection of sandwiches are good. We tried a flatbread this time too. Prices are reasonable. We love sandwiches and will be back. It's about 10 miles or so from us but well worth the drive.

Pulled up to the grand opening of the new Sourdough & Co in Pinole! Wow, the place was PACKED! The city showed out: mayor, council members, the whole squad, plus owner Mandeep giving a sweet speech before cutting the big red bow. Love a community moment. They were running a promo from 1-4:30PM where you buy a sandwich and get it half off, so you already know the line was out the door. I ordered the 4" Italian with Swiss (classic, super solid), and my wife got the Cholula Chicken on a gluten-free wrap. HUGE win because she can't have gluten, and not every spot does GF options. She legit loved it. And we also loved the pickle, had that snap!I also grabbed a bowl of clam chowder. Creamy, cozy, delish Next time I'm definitely getting it in the bread bowl because... Bay Area tradition. You can't not. Mandeep came around to greet people personally, and even the mayor stopped to chat. They had a wheel to win prizes as well. The whole vibe felt like classic small-town energy in the best way. Fun day, good sandwiches, great community. I'll definitely be back. They have flabreads, salads, cookies and more! I'll be coming here for my sandwich fix

After trying sandwiches from the Martinez location, so glad we have one in our community. Parking may be an issue because it's at the far end of strip mall with stores and other food options, so lots of cars parking and not moving in/out as often. Service is good, looks like they are still learning the menu, how to make and pack, and the point of sales system, so there may be some hiccups and delays, especially during busy times. With so may options, our favorites so far are: BBQ flatbread pizza Smoked Brisket sandwich Clam Chowder The bread is toasty and the house spread makes each sandwich delicious! Minus one star because of the app and ordering system, semi-user friendly.

When I heard Pinole struck gold on having a Sourdough & Co. I had to check it out. Located in Fitzgerald next to Dollar Tree it isn't a bad location. You would expect it to be small but going inside it isn't small. Great amount of tables to dine inside. Here is the catch...stare at the menu to see the price before ordering. You would be surprise how much a 4 inch, 6 8nch, and 8 inch cost. I didn't bother to see the price of the sandwich. My Roast Beef sandwich was delicious. I was not bothered by the 4 inch but I enjoy how good my sandwich was. They do not toast like Subway or Togos. I like that the bread was not hard to chew on. Since Pinole has a Sourdough & Co. I don't have to go to Martinez, Concord, or Walnut Creek anymore.

The store is on the Popeye's chicken end of the shopping mall...near Due Rose Good sandwich. Friendly staff - they all greet you upon entry. Decor is updated with "wood" siding. Bathroom just off the dining room.

Sept 11 2025 4.2 stars Technically I am reviewing the pickle. Looks like Pinole scored a winner with Sourdough. The inside is bright and bustling with many staff and customers. I'm sure the pumped in music might be loud for some but they won my heart playing Hotel California. My wife ordered herself a Pastrami with Swiss. To paraphrase Henry Ford, you can have any sandwich bread you want as long as it's Sourdough. The staff seems eager and helpful. The cashier with a smile and charming. Too bad she had no name tag hence no shoutout today. I am on a modified Fast which doesn't include "food" but I watched with enjoyment as the wife dove into her half sandwich. Vegetable and bread bits showering her lap. A thick pile of steamy hot meat oozing juices. Toasted warm fresh bread crunching. Both of our mouth were watering. Upon finishing her meal in record time, when forced for comments, she stated the sandwich was a little bland. (the way she devoured it she must be into "bland"). I took "bland" to mean it wasn't too salty and could have used some horseradish or mustard and maybe au jus to dip it in. I went to remove napkins from the to go bag and felt an unexpected weight. Is that a pickle? Yes! That is on my diet and oh boy it was crunchy and refreshing. I'm looking forward to having a sandwich for myself with my next pickle at Sourdough Pinole!

When I searched for gluten free on the yelp search, Sourdough & Co popped up. I was so happy Pinole allowed this store to open up here. This is way better than Subway. Good quality meat and bread. Better deals. So I called and they have gluten free options available. I believe we spoke to the owner because when we arrived, she made sure she did not cross contaminate while making our sandwiches. Very small space for seating but overall good food. Indoor is modern with many sandwiches to pick from. Thank you for preparing with safety! We ended up finishing our food. We will come back again :)

The soggy brown corner of my sandwich

Easy online ordering although they could omit some of the many options to add to make it more user friendly. Food was on time to go and friendly workers Unbagging the food had an off smell...couldn't describe the smell but it was foul like a dirty dishrag? Was it the plastic bags? The food? Not sure The clam chowder was just ok...I'd rate it a 5/10. The sourdough is not what I'm used to. It was too soft . I guess I'm used to more of a sourdough hard roll. Sandwiches were wrapped well but the ingredients didn't look appetizing. The lettuce was the real turn off because you can clearly see the lettuce was turning brown. And one corner of my sandwich was soggy and brown. There's nothing in my sandwich that would make one corner soggy and brown or was it the brown lettuce ? Turned off by the food and smell so this was a one time visit for my family

CK out the Menu & prices!

I'be been looking for this sandwich shop to try. After going to Lucky's I found it. It's so small I kept missing it. I walked up past Liquor Store & there it was! Haha I walked in & was greeted right away. I ordered a #6 larger which is 1 of my favorites. It took awhile (10mins) to get my sandwich made. There's no choice of bread jus 1 type. But it was very fresh & crunchy when you bite into the sandwich Mmmmm good But take small bites you'll enjoy it much more! Delicious I'll have to comeback to try their other sandwich's & soup . Also I took it home to enjoy it. But they had tables & very clean there to eat & enjoy your meal there. I recommend going there! Enjoy everyone

What i love about Sourdough is the portion sizes its the perfect skinny sandwich that doesn't leave you feeling sooooo full i also love that they have a small and larger salad. The pizza is little but again it's the perfect size when ur on a diet lol. Love the customer service always so nice and friendly:) the place is so cute inside as well.

Food was great, friendly environment and service was fast. If you want a nice sandwich to go or to dine in, I'd come here again and again. The Turkey Cranberry Sandwich was great!

We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! The owner's Veronica and Jillian are such a joy to talk to about the history of the restaurant, their plans for the future and I am here for all of it. A true Farm to Table restaurant serving brunch Thursday through Sunday 10 AM to 2 PM. I was a proud, big back diner today- ordering may items on the menu. *The deviled eggs were delicious with an unexpected punch from the pickled onions; plenty of bacon for that smoky delicious flavor. *The Nutella waffle was delicious. I asked for the Nutella, strawberry, whipped cream, and nuts on the side. Next time I will get them on the waffle, they were delicious. The waffle is crispy and tastes like it is made from scratch- no box mixes in this kitchen. *The charcuterie board- I'm speechless!!! From the pomegranate seeds that went perfectly with the feta and candied almonds to the Rosette of prosciutto and a smoky sliced salami that went perfectly with the olive bread. *The olive bread- let me say it again.. THE... OLIVE... BREAD!!!!!! I need two loaves and I need a full container of the radish butter. It is just that good- full of olives, flavor, and something I can't put my finger on, but it is delicious. ~I am not normally a radish fan, but Diosa and their chef have made me a huge fan.~ * The Iris was delicious. I did add simple syrup to it. Will definitely be back to bring my daughter who loves charcuterie and all things expensive. Perhaps we will come back tomorrow....
