We came on a Sunday at 5:30pm not particularly super busy and there were tables filled. We walked in and didn't get greeted and took awhile to get seated. There were 4 of us. We ordered 4 dishes. 2 came out first. And my wife and son literally finished their entire meal and the other 2 dishes didn't even come out yet. Ironically, we didn't order pho but we ordered: -BBH. Too Salty. No pork blood. -rice plate - the fish sauce wasn't good -vermicelli bowl - the beef was tender and flavorful -banh Xeo - Pickled vegetables didn't taste pickled. Got here right before it went from half capacity to full on people waiting for a table around lunch time on a Friday. The place is pretty clean nice and all but I'm just not used to waiting 6-7 mins for a server to come to my table after seating myself, especially at a pho spot where they keep the broth hot and noodles ready to toss in and read to serve in a matter of minutes even seconds depending how good the place is with service. Food is good, I would you try their food here. However, I would never recommend physically going here. Unbelievably slow service tho they weren't disrespectful or unpleasant they were all too slow for how packed it was getting. I guess there's only two spots for pho in Pinole maybe that's the reason behind this place being acceptable, I would never go here again having to wait so long for every part of dining in a restaurant. On this return visit to Pho Craze, we were a little bit disappointed at how the food wasn't as good as we had remembered from previous visits. Our son ordered the shaking cube beef with half noodle and half rice. The beef that he got this time was not cube beef but merely strips of beef loin, and the meat portion was paltry. I had the grilled pork chop and while the pork chop still has the great flavor, the size was not as generous. Thankfully, the smoothies were still great. I liked the amount of tofu, but I wished it was more flavorful and seasoned throughout. Great little pho place in a strip mall in Pinole. The store interior is nothing to write about but the fact it'll be packed even on a weekday night will tell you there's something special. Their secret sauce is a lot of good food at a decent price. Had a pho craze for dinner and ordered a Banh mi sandwich for lunch the next day. Both were great. Not the most excellent write home to mom great but very decent and very filling. Four stars is I'll go again if I'm in the hood and five stars is I'll drive out of my way to of there. We enjoyed the tofu bowl, tofu chow fun with vegetables and grilled pork dishes. Prices have raised about 50 percent with added vegetables another extra 4 dollars (only 2.50 a year ago). Honestly at these price points, I have to ask myself if I want a better view at one of my favorite restaurants in Sausalito. I paid 22 dollars for a tofu vegetable lunch plate. Pretty steep. Usually stop by this location for the chicken rice plate and sometimes the chicken pho. The rice is sometimes very dry and tastes crunchy which is a downside. So far, everything has been flavorful. Seems to be the go-to spot for pho in the area! I've been twice now and will say that it's tasty. I've had the #1 before which is pho with all the fixings and the BBH. However, their BBH seems to be just their regular pho broth with chilis mixed in vs the traditional BBH broth that is rich and spicy which was disappointing. I currently reside in southern california in a city that has literally all asian food so much so that I haven't eaten american cuisine in a restaurant in years besides a random drive thru during a road trip. So I would say considering the area that you're in, this is probably the best you would get. 3/5 stars but bumping it to 4/5 because of the area. I ordered Banh Xeo, BBH and egg roll vermicelli with a vietnamese coffee (came out to $53) and the BBH and Banh Xeo came out after a while at the same time, then I had to remind them of the coffee and the vermicelli, and the coffee came out after... and then a lot after the vermicelli. I was pretty much done with the BBH when the vermicelli came out and I ended up giving my mom the BBH and we ate almost all the Banh Xeo when the vermicelli came out. We ended up taking that home like the entire thing because it came out so late. I believe she forgot and that's why it came out *THAT* late. It didn't make sense because everyone else around us got their food before we did and we got in earlier than them. Water was never refilled. My BBH looked clear, usually it's red but it was still relatively tasty and lots of good lemongrass flavor. Decent amount of meat, and had a big ole chunk of tendon which is the best. No fish sauce on the table. Ban Xeo was good, Ifeel like it's hard to mess it up. Vermicelli was OK, but the portion was good. Prices are high compared to SoCal. read more

The wait for 3 on a Monday at 1 pm was about 10 minutes. The restaurant was busy but understaffed. They had three empty tables that just needed to be cleaned up. As far as the food, the combo bahn mi hardly had anything in it. The chicken and beef pho was very oily. The #9 hardly had any rare steak in it. So good -- I would get this again. I tried both the tofu spring rolls and the veggie tofu chow fun. The tofu spring rolls dipped into the peanut sauce was absolutely delish. It was just the right balance of tofu and veggies. The veggie tofu chow fun was also really good. I've had the same at Chinese restaurants before and I really love the flat noodles. Food here is decent (not great but decent) but what's abysmal is their service. Went there with a group of 5, the server told us to sit where we like. We chose a table that can seat 6. Because one in our group is a small toddler, the server asked us to move to a table of 4. FYI, the restaurant had only 3 other patrons. They were NOT busy whatsoever.
