Everything was delicious. I had green curry prawns, Thai ice tea and mango sticky rice. They made the spot cute, customer service was great.

Hole in the wall Thai restaurant with very limited parking... like 3 spots. The food here was good but pricey. We've been seeking out this type of roti for awhile. Most places offer roti as a dessert option instead. However, a bit of a sticker shock because the roti w/ curry came out to like $10. Other than that, the food was good. Pad Thai was surprisingly a bit spicy but manageable.

We have been to this location twice and the resulting food was vastly different between the first visit and the most recent one. I got the same order both times. The first time my yellow curry was flavored well enough, the vegetables and chicken seemed cooked to the right degree, and I thought "well we'll come back again. It's conveniently located and my boo loved her green curry." Fast forward to the 2nd/most recent visit. What happened? Number one the price was higher than locally available, turns out it included rice even though I said we don't want rice. But the worst was my curry was not good. The color was yellow but the flavor was as bland as paper white. The vegetables were cooked good but the chicken was dry and seemed over cooked. Did I mention the rice that I didn't want? We found this out once home a short distance away. Fortunately my boo was again happy with her green curry. Ambiance - mmmmm, no. The place is wedged between a smog shop and a muffler shop. It has off street parking, 3 spots shared with the muffler place :-| You might think "ok maybe this is like one of those houses that look blah outside in a bum neighborhood but looks palatial inside. Nope. Blah inside too. Unfinished, poorly designed, very amateur looking. I really hope they had a reason to rush to open and the future plan is to invest in looking a lot better as well as the food taste. We'll *possibly* give them ONE more shot cause they are really really conveniently located. But that'll be the tie breaker between "one poor experience" and "done, never again, convenient or not".

    Finally here...

I came here and didn't want to but we were hungry and my husband was game. I wasn't too jazzed but then I saw that they have a lot of gluten free options which is fine, because these are dishes that don't typically have gluten. I hope this doesn't hurt them. But the person working there greeted us and sat us down at a table. He was very nice and I loved that they labeled the food as gluten free. And it was very, very good! I loved it. I had the Thai iced coffee which was good. My husband got the iced tea. It was warm enough. But I got the bbq pork and it was very flavorful and I ate it with the cabbage. My husband got another dish and he liked it. I had leftovers and they did heat up well. The place is very cute inside. I was bummed that there weren't more people but I saw a number of people come in and get food to go which is good. But, I hope that people discover this gem. It's truly good and is much easier to get to than Point Richmond.

After finding out Berkeley Thai House closed, I made sure to add PraJam Thai to my bucket list. A cute, 'hole in the wall' feeling spot, I'm glad I was made aware of this restaurant. The folks working here are very friendly and attentive to those dining-in. I had the yellow curry, a personal Thai favorite of mine. I was thoroughly pleased with the dish. For the cost, the portion was substantive and the flavor mirrored what you would hope for in a decent yellow curry (nothing earth-shattering, however). My girlfriend had the Pad Se Ew. As I'm not a fan of soy sauce, I will refrain from making my own comments. That said, she was delighted with the dish. As far as her Mango Sticky Rice goes (of which she is somewhat of a connoisseur), it seemed as though some of the expected sweetness was missing.

One of the worst Thai restaurants I've ever been to. The service was great, staff was friendly but the food was not good. It was mainly the yellow curry. They don't have the consistency or flavors right. Usually, you taste the curry and other spices but this one was lacking. The Thai tea also was not the best.

Back again to try the lunch special, and once again, we were impressed! The super friendly service and great ambiance make this a go-to spot. They open early, so it's perfect for a Thai brunch. The lunch special is simple yet satisfying -- you get to pick an appetizer, main dish, a protein, and a drink. Every dish we tried was fresh and absolutely delicious. If you haven't already, give PraJam a try -- you'll love it!

Food was good! They have lunch specials $18. Would recommend if you're in the area! Hidden gem

    Yellow Curry

This is a small little place with about 3 parking spaces out front. The service was great however the food was not the best. Anytime I go to a new Thai place I order the same thing, my favorite Thai dish which is the Thai Yellow Curry with chicken. The portions were good, lots of chicken in the curry however the flavor was off. Not as much spices or flavor and the chicken was dry. I can't speak to any other dishes on the menu besides the yellow curry, which has left me reluctant to go back. They were pretty empty when I came, I was the only one dining in. They are a fairly new restaurant in the area so I hope they do well.

If you see this guy you're in the right spot..

Is this a vegetarian restaurant or do they have meat dishes also? How long is this restaurant been open?

They have meat dishes too. I think it's been open less than a year. Definitely not very long. I love this restaurant.

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! It's a husband-and-wife team!

It had basically two tablespoons of chicken that looked boiled. The soup tasted like water which made me add too much chili paste. The noodles were nothing to write home about though homemade. There were not a lot of noodles and mostly a lot of water for 15 dollars. I think the soup was supposed to come with crunchy garlic but it did not come with anything but a little bit of cilantro. All in all, just a very sad dish for $15 which I could have made at home with nothing but boiled water and noodles from the supermarket. My husband had their massaman Curry beef. They were training someone to cook in the kitchen and this curry came out with the texture and flavor of water. They were very kind to refund us for the curry as it was completely tasteless. One of the kitchen staff tasted the curry themselves and said that it had no flavor and apologized profusely. The restaurant itself though clean has a strong unpleasant smell.

As a Richmond local, I've spent a decent of time chasing real good beer and comfort food around the Bay, and this place delivered. We started with my favorite cucumber salad and a couple Fieldwork IPAs (the regular West Coast IPA, not hazy). Then came the fish & chips. Honestly, fish (unless it is extraordinary) doesn't usually get me excited, but this was the standout. The batter was light, crispy, and steaming hot, with two good-sized pieces of fish per order. Add lemon and malt vinegar and it was game over. The fries were great, too, but the fish was the surprise. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered a second plate. At $28, it's more of a treat than a habit, but when I find great fish & chips, I'm all in. The setting doesn't hurt, either. Sitting above Point San Pablo Harbor with the boats gently rocking below is about as relaxing as Richmond gets. Then Los Bahianatos!! started playing cumbia and completely won over the crowd. Before long people were happy & dancing and sticking around longer than they probably planned. Good beer, great fish & chips, live music, and a waterfront view. Hard to complain about any of that.

I thought they might be closed because the front gate is closed, but if the side gate through the parking lot is open, it's open. They have a nice big open lot with tables to eat, and an inside tent as well. They were closing a little early for another event, so I waited about 15 minutes to get takeout and took it to a nearby park. The Chatamari is a great gluten-free option with its rice dough, I wasn't sure if it would be enough for a meal but it was plenty for $12! Topped with minced chicken, egg & a ton of spice, this place is not dialing down the spice for 'American' palates. Like a 'pizza' the rice dough is nice and chewy, but doesn't make you feel too stuffed. I want to go back and try the Bala made with lentils, and the Yomari dessert. The momo have a nice strong wrapper (hate it when those fall apart), good size with 8 for $12, they gave me half veggie & meat, thank you!
