Pad see ew, crab fried rice, pad Thai, and a yellow chicken curry
    Jennifer C.

Got take out on a weeknight and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Got a pad see ew, crab fried rice, pad Thai, and a yellow chicken curry. Everything has good flavor and I'm sure it would have tasted even better if we ate in since some of the noodles were stuck to each other by the time we got to them. Would be happy to return!

The pad see ew is to die for, and the staff they are the nicest and sweetest! This place is one of the best lao restaurant, love coming here -- my go to spot!

Ordered pad kee mao and pad see ew to go. The pad kee mao was the clear winner as it had more flavor. Portion size was large enough for two servings. The pad see ew lacked flavor and had American broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli. The waiter was confused when I ordered the pad see ew to be made vegan and then proceeded to ask me if egg was ok.

This has always been one of our favorite Thai places and still holds up years after it opened. The larb is my favorite! And the roti is a great appetizer.

Thai Papaya Salad. It was so good, I ended up getting one to go at the end of the night. I asked for Medium spice, it was just enough.

Went in on a weekday, had the place to ourselves for a bit, but several other patrons showed up while we were eating. Food was on point and service was very friendly.

5/5 from me ! Food was really good, it's always a good time every time we come, not too packed all the time but it should be. service is really great as well and it's always clean! They'd definitely be playing the slaps

Good portions were good and all the dishes were very tasty. We had pumpkin curry with tofu, pork pad Thai, rainbow salad and peanut lovers dish and roti appetizer

Ratio of veggies to shrimp is no balance at all. Very sad and disappointing they would sell this.

The food was definitely not up to par. I ordered take out spring rolls and Kao poon. Honestly, the ratio of shrimp and veggies to the roll was unexpected. But the peanut sauce was the BEST thing delivered. It was the only reason for the second Star. The Kao poon I thought would be better but it was tasteless and the soup was not even full in the container.. it was halfway full and very very lack of flavor and soul. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied, with that. I do not recommend the Kai Poon at all. Spring rolls are okay if you don't mind extra veg.

Amazing that we had not tried this spot until very recently when we moved back to the Bay Area. Very quick to seat, great service, and delicious food! Honorable mention is the fact that there is ample parking and the plaza has a reasonably sized parking lot to accommodate its customers. We actually found this spot because we were craving mango with sticky rice and they had some great ratings and pictures on Yelp. Lo and behold we ordered it to-go and were obsessed. We ordered Pad Thai, Barbeque Chicken Plate, Mango with Sticky Rice, Thai Ice Tea. Unsurprisingly their entrees are equally as delicious, large in portions (definitely shareable) and they have ample options of spice seasoning. Probably a new favorite of mines in this immediate area.

Pad See Ew and Yellow Curry

Staying in Richmond, we spotted this Thai restaurant nearby with great reviews. We walked in about 7pm on a Monday and were the only guests inside and it remained that way for the entire meal. We tried the Yellow Curry with chicken along with the Pad See Ew and added beef for an additional $3. The Yellow Curry comes with carrots and potatoes and was requested as Medium. It arrived with about a teaspoon of dry chili flakes on top. I'm guessing I was suppose to stir it into the curry. We decided not to and I'm glad we didn't. It would have been ridiculously spicy. Just an odd way to serve a dish. The worst part was the Chicken that was beyond OVERCOOKED. The Pad See Ew was saucy and served with carrots and broccoli. The noodles were decent along with the broccoli. However, the beef that I paid an extra $3 for was again beyond OVERCOOKED. Although the service was great, the meal was so disappointing and pretty inedible.

Best Pad Thai in the Bay Area. Pad Thai has always been my litmus test for how good a Thai restaurant is. I tell you, Maya Thai has the best texture, flavor, and sauce consistency and flavor. I have tried some other noodles, but their Pad Thai reigns supreme for me. Their tray of chili condiments is also the best. Their chili oil is so fragrant and the fried shallots so aromatic. The chilis and lime in fish sauce is also very good. Their service is great. Friendly and homey. Ample parking. The best Thai spot in the area, and definitely the best Pad Thai I've had yet.

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! My mom, sister and I found this place randomly on our way home from salsalito realizing the places would probably be closed by the time we got to Sacramento area. We were looking for a Thai restaurant not necessary Lao food which I am less familiar with. It was about 7:30pm when we arrived on a Saturday night and there was only one gentlemen in the astonishment. The walls were painted cute with bowls of curry with the ingredients for that curry surrounding it. We came for Tom Kha gai soup to warm us up since we had been outside walking around in salsalito and the high of the day was only 51. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't very warm and cozy like we were hoping. The lady that helped us was super nice though and got us hot water with lemon and even filled up my water bottle with hot water before we left. We just needed a light dinner so we ordered spring rolls with crispy tofu and and Tom Kha soup with chicken to share. food came out fast and was pretty good. Spring rolls were fresh with carrots and cuc / noodles but I don't remember herbs and the dipping sauce was decent. Not super flavorful but good enough. I love flavor so wouldn't have minded some more ginger or spice. Like a not too intense peanut butter sauce. I am not sure if this is normal of Lao thai spring rolls. The Tom Kha gai soup was good, not what I remember exactly from the soup I loved as a teenager but still had the coconut milk base with mushrooms, lemongrass, lime and chicken. Fish sauce stuck out to me in this variation of the soup when I remember only tasting coconut milk and more lime with lemongrass and spices with chicken and veggies. Maybe I just had some damn good Tom Kha gai as I kid lol, but I will keep searching for a spot that can make it like that! Good enough for a quick bite on the road. Thank you for your help and kindness dear!

Every single dish is amazing, and even though I've developed my go-to staples, there's always something new worth trying. Favorites include the sum woo sen (clear bean thread noodle salad) and the stir-fried eggplant, but honestly, there are so many standout dishes that it's hard to narrow it down. Beyond the food, what really makes this restaurant special is the people behind it. The owner is incredibly friendly, humble, and clearly works nonstop day and night to make sure everything is just right. His wife, the chef, consistently turns out flavorful, thoughtful dishes that you can tell are made with care and pride. They're also very clean and did I say friendly? They make you feel like family or a friend. I also work for a company that regularly orders from here, and we're far from the only ones. Large companies like Chevron, Bio-Rad, Kaiser, and many others frequently order as well. Even more impressive, although the restaurant is located in Richmond, companies in Daly City and other cities 20+ miles away go out of their way to order from here. That alone says a lot. This is a small, lovely Thai restaurant that is truly doing its thing by earning loyal customers, making waves well beyond its neighborhood, and absolutely deserving of the praise it gets. Highly recommended. David and wife, you guys rock! The food, service and friendliness totally satisfies every single time.

Always down to try food, we drove to this restaurant. Parking was easy and spacious and seating was simple. We went in at opening, so we sat down right away. The table we sat on had their light a bit too high, but it was not too much of a bother. I already had in mind what I wanted to order, so we started with appetizers and a soup, prior to getting our entree. Tom Kha (Coconut Soup): I have had this before at other restaurants, so I wanted to compare it this place. Honestly, it was just alright. It had quite a bit of spice to it, since every soup spoonful had some peppers in it. The mushrooms and chicken were good, and the ginger and lemongrass had a nice herby flavor. But it didn't had the same sour taste I was expecting for this soup. It was a bit more sweeter than I would like. Appetizer combo: You get two of, Chicken Satay, Fried wonton, tofu, fried calamari, and spring roll. This was quite good and a nice starter. My favorite was the fried tofu with the sweet Thai chili for dipping. For the price, it is good to share between two people. Pad Gra Prow (Basil Chicken): Always my favorite at eating at any Thai place. I usually go for Basil "protein" or Eggplant "Protein". The Basil leaves added the flavor I expected from this dish and all the vegetables and chicken worked together. The only thing I was disappointed was the spice level. I wasn't asked (unless that cannot be changed) so it was rather mild in any spice level. If I could have made it spicier, I think the dish would have been perfect for me. Overall, I had a great time here. Food was good and company was great. I can see myself coming back here again.
