Avocado, lychee, and matcha smoothie
Anthony H.

On this return visit to Pho Craze, we were a little bit disappointed at how the food wasn't as good as we had remembered from previous visits. Our son ordered the shaking cube beef with half noodle and half rice. The beef that he got this time was not cube beef but merely strips of beef loin, and the meat portion was paltry. I had the grilled pork chop and while the pork chop still has the great flavor, the size was not as generous. Thankfully, the smoothies were still great. Maybe we have to blame inflation, but the dining experience was less satisfying this time around.

Lemongrass tofu vermicelli
Sydney J.

I ordered lemongrass tofu vermicelli for takeout. It tastes and smells like there's some fish sauce. The quantity of food was really good for the price. I liked the amount of tofu, but I wished it was more flavorful and seasoned throughout. The lemongrass flavor was weak and the tofu tasted quite plain as a result, so I could not rate this higher due to that.

Nem nuong (personally added the candle)

I love their nem nuong. One time I ordered at a time I usually don't, and the spring rolls had too much pickled radish and carrots, making it too sweet. Otherwise, loved the 10 different times I've ordered them! Servers are cool and helpful. I also enjoy their avocado smoothie with boba.

Always such a warm welcome & greeting here -feels like family !! Service is very quick, very friendly, the owner Lynne comes out to say hi & visit when she is not too busy !! The veggie pho is full of assorted veggies : Napa, broccoli bokchoy, zuccini, beansprout, onion, mushroom, scallions & has great flavor !! There are standard seasonings plus sesame oil, knorr seasoning, sriracha, hoisin, salt & pepper ... something new is menu scanning which links photos?? Spacious dining room often very full, waitstaff really hustles to serve & clear, often a line from the counter for take out !!

Ribeye pho!

We enjoyed the tofu bowl, tofu chow fun with vegetables and grilled pork dishes. Prices have raised about 50 percent with added vegetables another extra 4 dollars (only 2.50 a year ago). Honestly at these price points, I have to ask myself if I want a better view at one of my favorite restaurants in Sausalito. I paid 22 dollars for a tofu vegetable lunch plate. Pretty steep. However, the staff is friendly and the food fresh with generous portions so as long as the quality and quantity continues, I will come back.

Pho Craze has been a favorite spot of mine in the area. The food is consistently delicious, and if you're visiting for the first time, these are our top picks that I recommend trying. The service and dine-in experience can sometimes feel rushed especially during lunch and dinner. S26. Eggrolls with vermicelli A7. Mango Papaya Salad with Chicken (excluded mango) $11.25 19. Very sad the prices went up on us. The menu pictures from June and the website still had the old prices. I was hoping to get their #1 large for $15.50, but it ended up being $17.00. The rice noodles were clumped together, but I did get good portions and decent quality proteins. The beef carpaccio was different than expected... not in a bad way and I did appreciate the amount of meat. Overall, a decent experience! Service could be a bit better. Another table like us also had to wait for awhile before ordering.

First time at Pho Craze. Ordered the vegetable pho and Pho Craze special - both were tasty. The restaurant is clean with plenty of room to sit comfortably. Service was efficient and friendly. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

19. Grilled Chicken with Shrimp and Egg Roll Plate
Keshneel K.

Usually stop by this location for the chicken rice plate and sometimes the chicken pho. The rice is sometimes very dry and tastes crunchy which is a downside. So far, everything has been flavorful. Service is usually fast, but this place can get very busy, so a little patience is needed. There's a big indoor seating area as well.

Bun Bo Hue
Yvonne F.

Seems to be the go-to spot for pho in the area! I've been twice now and will say that it's tasty. I've had the #1 before which is pho with all the fixings and the BBH. However, their BBH seems to be just their regular pho broth with chilis mixed in vs the traditional BBH broth that is rich and spicy which was disappointing. Not sure if it was a bad day or if that is usually how the dish is made here. We also get their spring rolls with grilled pork that is delicious. The price-point is also very affordable and makes sense for their dishes. They have plenty of seating indoors as well.

I had pho here, but the meat was stuck together. It appears it wasn't properly defrosted before being cooked and served. I would not return.

My aunt ordered the oxtail pho and halfway through eating it bit into something she thought was tripe. She spit it out and it was a BIG PIECE OF SARAN WRAP. She nearly vomited and immediately lost her appetite. Even before that, we watched the server with visibly dirty fingernails handling the bean sprouts and basil with his bare hands. My sandwich came 15-20 minutes after the pho, they forgot our Thai tea, then when reminded, brought it WITHOUT the boba we ordered. Mind you, it was barely 11 AM with only one other party there. But the worst part? When we reported the plastic in the soup, the lady came back basically insinuating that WE put it there because the cook denied it. Excuse me?! What reason would we have to put Saran Wrap in a bowl we had already eaten halfway through? After ALL that, they offered 50% off the pho. HALF OFF?! The contaminated bowl should've been removed from the bill completely. When we paid, they didn't even give the discount they offered and I was fed up so just paid the bill and left. The food, cleanliness, service, and way they handled the situation were enough for us. We used to recommend this place and bring family here all the time. Not anymore. We'll happily find a new pho spot.

While some of the dishes hit the sweet spot for me, others left me wishing for something different. Our group ordered 6 different menu items to share and everything came out in quick succession: Nam Khao, Yum Pla Muek, Khao Soi, Pad Thai, Som Tum Gai Yang, and Massamun chicken curry. Of these dishes, the star was the Nam Khao. I loved the crunchy little grains of rice and the fermented pork added a nice tangy flavor profile to each bite. It would've been great if the dish had more pork pieces in it though. Yum Pla Muek (squid salad) had a spectacular sweet and sour dynamics overall, but ratio of protein to veggies needed an improvement. Despite the name, the dish felt more like a scavenger hunt for squid pieces hidden inside the sea of cabbage. Khao Soi was great in that the broth leaned more on the clear side rather than being overwhelmingly drowned in coconut milk. Flavor-wise, it was delicious but a bit oversalted for my taste. Pad Thai is pretty decent. The sweet and tangy mix was definitely present and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Somehow, I felt like it was missing something within its aromatics profile. Perhaps the green onions should've been lightly tossed with the noodles at the end rather than sprinkled on top as a garnish. Som Tum was dissappointing in my opinion. Judging from the appearance of the papaya shreds, the preparation process might've skipped the authentic "tum" (pounded) part in the goold ol' stone mortar and pestle. The flavor was also a bit bland and the usual basic ingredients like peanuts, green beans, and dried shrimps, were nowhere to be found. Gai Yang (grilled chicken) pieces were pretty good. However, instead of steamed rice, they really shoul've included sticky rice to keep the dish's authenticity. I wouldn't recommend this dish if you're a die-hard fan of the original version. Massamun chicken curry was a bit too thin in the curry part. I didn't personally try this dish, but the general comments from those who did was that it was just mid. Overall, there's no doubt I'll be hitting Sue's Kitchen up again soon. Service there was quick, attentive, and efficient. Their price-point is also very reasonable for the portion size of the food. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants quick and delicious Thai-Laotian food in a more quaint neighborhood of East Bay.

I recommended we grab pho but with the initial pick being closed, we pivoted to Pho Nation! When we came for dinner, it was quiet. We were one of the only customers but a few diners were coming in and out for takeout. The restaurant is super casual with not much decor or detail to it. The service was just okay and a bit confusing. For those dining in, they give you a menu and you order with them but everything else you need to go to the counter for (pay, water, any requests). We also weren't checked on during our meal. For food, I had the Regular Chicken Breast Pho. Even being a regular, it was a massive portion that I took home! The broth was good but I was never given a spoon. The noodles were on the smaller end as if they were cut. When I received my bowl the noodles were all compact so my theory is they just dumped it in there and assumed the broth would break it up. The chicken was tender. Everything else was on the table such as utensils, sauce, and garnishes. My old manager said her dish was great! I can understand this might be a fave pho place for residents in the area but I'm not sure if I'd willingly go back. It was great to try and the food was good. My friend decided to get extra meat and that was an extra $4. They also gave her double the vegetables for an additional $4 and extra meat as well. Her Thai iced tea was quite expensive for $6. Usually restaurants charge about $4 for Thai iced tea. I got their tofu sandwich which was full of tofu and not enough vegetables. I personally would have prefer more vegetables and less tofu. I did not like their tofu because it is a pre-fried tofu which is probably sold at Ranch 99 and from overseas. That kind of tofu has a non- creamy and somewhat tough texture. It's a bit dry even though they braise it. I prefer non-fried tofu that is slightly sauteed maintaining the creamy tofu texture. This was overly processed tofu. I will not order their tofu sandwich again. I would like to try their chicken sandwich next time and hope that they give me more vegetables. It will be nice to try some of their noodle soups which everyone else was ordering except for our table. The service was pretty quick. Their bathroom had no amenities like toilet paper. I will come back but don't know when.
