Worst Vietnamese restaurant ever! I was seated at the same time another customer was at a different table. I decided to order take out instead so I could get home faster. 40 minutes later I was still waiting for my take out order and the sit down customer had eaten and left. My bland Vietnamese sandwich had a thin layer of very thinly sliced tasteless BBQ pork. This is the worse Vietnamese sandwich I have ever eaten. Hello everyone! This was my first time eating at Pho Craze, and everything was going well until we noticed a bug or worm crawling out of the plate that had the shrimp spring roll. It was honestly disgusting. They didn't offer us a discount or anything just asked if we wanted a new one made. In the end, they only took that one spring roll off the receipt. This is my go-to pho place in this area. I always get either spring roll/ egg roll/ beef carpaccio with the pho but this was a quick lunch so I only got the rare steak pho. Their Banh mi is also good. The server are kind, the food comes out fast and the restaurant is spacious with both inside and outside seating areas. I ordered a large grilled ribeye pho and their bowl size looked like a medium and the amount of noodles is definitely for the medium sized bowl. Really 3 1/2 stars. Great customer service, food is good, plenty of parking and pretty quick (especially considering how busy they are). I would definitely call ahead for a group of 6 or more, they tend to be very busy, especially on the weekends. Love the fried egg rolls and the fresh shrimp spring rolls. The peanut sauce is excellent and both come at a very affordable price. I enjoyed the grilled beef and shrimp plate with vermicelli noodles. My biggest and only gripe was the portions. Would've like to have more beef, more noodles and definitely more than two pieces of shrimp. Overall I would recommend this place, especially for pickup. Our family's go-to spot for Vietnamese food. You can never go wrong with any of the pho options, even if you just want a side of broth. The fried tofu is battered just right. In any event, we ordered the Bun Bo Hue (Large #10), Chicken Noodles (Large w/ extra Noodles and NO garnish #11), Bun Rieu (#14), Batter Fried Calamari. 1) BBH: The presentation was promising, but the lack of flavor in the soup was a little disappointing. It was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. Will try the #1 next. 2) Chicken Noodles: Seems to have flavor and the extra noodles was more than expected. 3) Bun Rieu: Again, the presentation was promising, but this time it really lacked flavor. We are used to a lot more flavor in the BR bowl. Will again be a one-and-done here. 4) Batter Fried Calamari: Too "battered" for us. One & done for this dish also. This restaurant was not a "Wow" one, but worth a try. Who knows, it may be your cup of tea. Due to the strong crowd, perhaps we probably ordered the wrong items for our liking. I've been here two or three times, I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them yet! I've gotten banh mi which has been good, but my recent visit I got beef pho with rare steak and beef balls, with extra lime (always my go-to). The broth was sooo smooth during this visit, and I finished nearly the whole bowl! I always appreciate when pho restaurants offer smaller sizes so that I don't feel so wasteful. This review is for the spring rolls with pork sausage and grilled pork vermicelli with shrimp and imperial roll. $6.50 for the spring rolls - comes with 4 small rolls and a peanut sauce. The "pork sausage" tastes like something between ham and spam, not the garlicky sweet taste that I usually get from other restaurants. $12.50 for the vermicelli - comes with big pieces of grilled pork, 2 shrimps, and an imperial roll. All flavors are on the bland side including the fish sauce. Very underwhelming dish. I just tried to eat everything on top, leaving the vermicelli barely touched. The broth was flavorful and hot! Another great option to try! Seafood Noodles - I ordered this and O M G! The broth was addicting that I drank it all! It came out piping hot! I ordered mine with clear noodles, my absolute favorite! Only issue I had with this bowl of pho was the squid! It was too fishy for me! Other than that this was an excellent bowl of pho! Grilled pork banh mi - My dad and sister shared this and they said the meat was nicely grilled and very flavorful! Only thing was the bread... it would've been nice if it was toasted a little longer so the outside has a nice and crispy crunch while the inside remains soft... that would be ideal! Nonetheless, still a good banh mi! Pate and pork loaf banh mi - my fiancé and I shared this one and I agreed with my sister about the bread. I enjoyed this, but I was sad that they don't add the pig ear ham! The ham combination is my go-to whenever I order banh-mi. We've been going to Pho Craze at least once a month since it opened a few years ago and we love their food. However, lately we notice that their soup base has been inconsistent. Sometimes it's bland, not flavorful and sometimes it's very good. The last time we were there (Dec. 8th), I ordered Pho with tendon and tripe only. A few of the tendons were very hard. This is a surprisingly authentic Vietnamese restaurant with very good prices. Despite being mainly known for pho, I would confidently say all there dishes are authentic and homely. I was first attracted to this place when I ordered a tofu bahn mi to go for lunch. It was the surprisingly rare price of $6.50 and was good quality. The bread was a really fresh and warm baguette and and the tofu had great texture. It was a little lacking on the sauce, but they were happy to give me some more when I asked. On my most recent visit I got the papaya salad with shrimp. I love papya salad but if you aren't a huge fish sauce fan this might not be for you. That said, after getting this dish I knew this place was authentic since they gave me some rice cakes to go with the salad so it could be eaten viet-style. For less $10 as an "appetizer" this portion was more than enough to make a very filling and delicious lunch. Spring rolls on a hot day or pho on a cold day are also excellent choices here. read more
