These sandwiches are so bomb! The best that Vallejo has! They have lots of options and the sandwiches are really big. If you have not already definitely give them a try!

I love Picnicky's! They're always consistent and the sandwiches taste fresh. They seem to sell out of things pretty fast, so I would assume that's how popular they are. They're friendly and quick to order. I love the feel of the inside if you ever get a chance to order inside! It feels very timeless and clean. There's enough seating inside as well. Whatever sandwich you get, get the garlic spread because it's FIRE!! I get tuna sandwiches here (it's a nostalgic thing okay) and I get their garlic spread and jalapeño spread I believe? But omg so delicious!!

Hot Pastrami Sandwich
Justin R.

On the verge of being really good. If not, possibly even greatness. However two major flaws have to be addressed before we can get there. 1). Ordered a hot pastrami sandwich and the bread was literally rock solid. It was almost as if I was eating a sandwich on a crouton. The bread was over toasted and would literally crumble w/ every bite. Nothing worst than eating a sandwich and the bread is hard as a rock, crumbling and tearing up the roof of your mouth. 2) The meat portion was underwhelming. When I think of a pastrami sandwich I envision the "pastrami" being the lead singer, not the backup. The pastrami portion was very small. Although the overall combo of swiss cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and garlic spread mixed very well together, there should have been more meat. Very friendly service, super quick and convenient. Loved the menu and would be open to trying it again. Just on the next time, asking for "lightly toasted" and extra meat.

Went to grab a quick lunch! I forgot which sandwich I got ‍ but it was so delicious. I got it on wheat roll, salami, bacon, avocado with all the things. I also got pepper jack cheese. It was so packed that I ate only half my sandwich and kept the other one for another lunch day. The place was cleaned and team so nice. Definitely will go back for another quick lunch.

The Poolboy Mr. California (Veggie) added turkey

Sandwiches were hella good, I got the pool boy but subbed the bread to sourdough and my wife got the Mr California and added turkey on sourdough also. Service was good very helpful and the place is nice and cozy and spacious!

Turkey and ham sandwich with bacon bits. Delicious!

Stopped by on whim and the friendly staff walked me through their menu and recommended a delicious sandwich called the Caveman! I'll definitely be coming back

Absolutely love this place! The cashier was friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in. They were patient while we looked over the menu and ordered. Inside was bright and spacious with a few chairs and tables inside. The sandwiches were delicious. We ordered the Italian and a turkey sandwich and both were amazing. I wish there was a little more meat, but it still was pretty good.

Super overpriced sandwiches. If I spend $20 I could just buy all those ingredients and prepare the entire family a sandwich each.

Always good food. Staff is mid and they can be distracted by their phones very easily. Prices are up there...but the sandwich is worth it.

The sandwich was good. The service was okay, a little curt. The prices were just a little high for what you get

The folks here were very kind and polite. They were very helpful in ordering as well. I ended up getting the French dip sandwich. The price was pretty in line with what it is nowadays. (Early 2026) I thought the sandwich was tasty and well made. Again, I can't stress how kind the folks here were. One of the kids working brought me my water even though I didn't mind going up to the counter to grab it. Just a great place to grab a quick and delicious lunch. My eyes have been opened…read more I'll admit. Theres certain places in town that I just still haven't tried even after living in Benicia for as long as I have. You know how it is right? If none of the people in your circle have tried it, it sometimes makes it a hard for one to make the leap of faith. After all, everything is pricier nowadays. So making sure you are getting your money's worth is more important more than ever. I'm glad that Sprankles always makes me feel confident about my purchase when I order from them. Recently I tried their Pastrami Club and was very impressed. Lots of good flavors. If you are person who loves extra meat or their sandwiches then I think you'd love this one. I do wish the bread held up a little better. Even though I appreciate the amount of content I get on the sandwich, I think that particular should be served on a more sturdier bread. If not then the meat could probably be reduced just a smidge. Other than that no other complaints. When you pick up your food you shouldn't have any problems with parking. Theres usually plenty of parking in their lot. I'm really looking forward to trying more things here at this cozy sandwich spot.

I've been here two times, each time was delicious!…read more The first I got falafel and salad, it was really good and light. Tons of flavor. Today I got the pastrami sandwich combo. The sandwich was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had. The bread was moist, meat was hot and tender, veggies were the right proportions. The service was killer, greeted me as I walked in and got me going quickly. They have iced tea but I wanted a lemon, so they cut some up fresh for me! That's the type of thing that will get me coming back over and over. The ambiance is a deli, nothing too flashy, but they've got plenty of seats inside and out. If you're looking for a great deli, nice staff and somewhere to take a load off for lunch or earlier dinner in Fairfield / Cordelia this is it.

We order the French dip sandwich and the flavor was great, meat was cooked just right and the sauce complimented the sandwich well, though it was a bit thicker than I thought it'd be for an Au Jus, but hey to each their own for sauces. 4/5* Their shawarma wrap was probably the most worth getting on their menu; the size of it is very generous and flavorful. Out of the 2 things we got this was definitely the winner for $12. 5/5* Both of the gentlemen were very nice behind the counter and when we're back in the area we will be back again!

It's the only place I know that has white sharp cheddar cheese, which I love on sandwiches, and I always get their Guini juice on the side. That said, I was a bit taken aback by the pricing on my most recent visit. I completely understand that prices go up, but my veggie sandwich was listed at $13.75 and I was charged $17.75. It turns out certain breads are an upcharge, but that wasn't communicated--I only realized after I had already paid. I also asked for pepperoncini and was charged $3, even though it's supposed to be $1.75. On top of that, it looks like I was charged for cucumbers, even though they're listed as part of the vegetarian sandwich, which feels a bit misleading. I've never had this issue before, so next time I'll definitely double-check pricing or order online since that's always been accurate for me. I still enjoy the food, just wish pricing and add-ons were more clearly communicated.
