I found that I really don't particularly like Smashburgers so I didn't order any. I purchased chili cheese fries, cooked, and beef tallow they were pretty good. I'd come back and get another order.

Let me tell you something! I love this place. I stop there waaaay too often. I wish they would open other locations. I've gotten everything on the menu. Nothing was bad. I prefer getting my loaded fries from here vs. In-N-Out. The onion rings are nice and hot, lightly salted with that side of ranch. The burger is always on point! I would bring a drink because the sodas are a bit pricey. There are tables for dining in. The music is nice, and so are the staff. The inside is nicely painted. Bringing an old school vibe. I like it. The owner also has a BBQ spot in Hercules, I must try.

Smash burger, smash burger, make me a smash. Finally getting a chance to leave a review for the new Tommy's Burger Co in Richmond off San Pablo Ave. Grateful as always for spots emerging in this area servicing the good good. Tommy's Burger Co focuses on only a few items, and executing a few items really well. Located near Factory Bar (essentially across the street), we grabbed a few burgs to-go with street parking adjacent to the restaurant. We ordered the Tallo Frys, the Single Burger with Cheese, and the Double Burger with Cheese. There's limited tables indoors, and the burgers do hold up nicely for to-go service. Friendly service, cool vibes. Great meat quality and taste, a bit on the salty side seasoning-wise, but super solid nonetheless. Love the packaging (think elevated fast food), juicy ingredients, and fair pricing. Oh and that sesame seed bun with 'Boss sauce'...nice touch. Would love to come back over the next holiday break to try the fried chicken sando and onion rings. Yum!

I stopped in earlier to get the skinny. Then I came back later with my family. These guys have a solid background with the barbecue place in Hercules, so I got high hopes for their burgers here, too. Burgers are gooooood! They're put together with boss sauce, which is slightly spicy, but not too much, even for my tender tongue. Even Sara who has high standards in burgers smiled as she gave approval to the owners--and that was for lettuce-wrapped burger due to her gluten allergy. Fries are good too! They're cooked with beef tallow rather than vegetable oil. I expected greasy grossness, but didn't notice anything like that--just good ol' fashioned french fried potatoes, skins and all. But if beef tallow ain't your bag, you can get sweet potato fries or onion rings, which are both cooked with regular ol' vegetable oil. Friendly and knowledgeable service--they answered all my questions. Clean facilities. Bathroom is clean, with a diaper changing table. Free parking on the street. Easy access to and from the freeway, ice cream dessert across the street, can't ask for a heck of a lot more than that... And there's other nice amenities nearby in this up-and-coming 2 blocks of Richmond's North & East neighborhood. e.g., tacos, ice cream, cocktails, thai food, coffee shop, sandwich shop, etc....! If you choose to give a thumbs-up or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

I love this place. It's a cute little burger joint that prides itself on putting out quality burgers to order. The fries are my favorite b/c they are fried in beef fat. What could be better? The staff is very friendly and since I stop by at least once a week they know my face and treat me so well. I am always greeted with a smile. Give Tommy's a try, you won't be disappointed.

Just tried the new burger place on San Pablo Ave really enjoyed it! The service was friendly and fast, and the menu is simple with easy, tasty food. There's street parking available, plus indoor seating if you want to dine in comfortably on a non busy day. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Saw this new burger place opened across from the Factory Bar, had to try. Good burger from hubby. I went with the fried chic sandwich which tasted great. The slaw wad vinegar based and delish. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the chicken (which was juicy and tender) had too much batter for my liking. Overall I plan to come back for more!

Thin burger patty had to take bread off couldn't taste the meat

Where's the meat? If you are spending $13.50 on a burger should be able to taste it . The patty was so thin I had to take the other piece of bread off . Definitely not paying $17 + for a double . Shoulda went to Johnny boys smh If fries n drink were included woulda been a fair price but they want another 5.50 for a thin burger patty I'd rather eat at a fast food joint than this place . I don't see them being open for business very long maybe by end of year

They have a lot of interesting smash burger options, including a Trompo featuring Al Pastor. We got the Fat Boi, Trompo, and Highway Style fries. We waited longer than we expected, but good thing they have many monitors so we watched the World Cup while waiting for our food. When the food came, they were an impressive sight. The burgers were loaded and dripping with grease. My son liked his Fat Boi, but I thought the Al Pastor in the Trompo was a bit bland. The Trompo was also so greasy that grease was running down my hand and forearm while I am eating it, and I can feel my arteries hardening already! The Highway Style fries were decent. A smash patty laid between two layers of fries and then topped with melted cheese. It was decadent but a guilty pleasure. The kids gave the place 7-7.5 out of 10 and they said they would come back. For myself, probably not as the food was just too heavy for me.

A solid local breakfast spot with big portions and good comfort food…read more Planned for today to be my rest day... but that didn't happen so I stopped by Cafe Soleil for breakfast afterward. Went solo and sat at one of the high tops. Started with coffee, which was actually really good for diner coffee. I ordered the chicken fried steak with crispy hashbrowns covered in Monterey Jack cheese and a sweet cream pancake. The chicken fried steak was well seasoned and flavorful. I just wish the breading had been a little crispier. The gravy was definitely a highlight though. The hashbrowns had good flavor but were a little soft in the middle compared to how crispy I personally like them. Now the pancake... HUGE. Basically plate-sized. The sweet cream batter already gives it sweetness on its own, but once you add butter and syrup it really takes it over the top. Overall, a really good breakfast and definitely a solid option for breakfast or lunch in the area. They can get busy, but if there's a wait it's worth sticking around for.

Been here twice and this was my second food experience: Recommended - Cast Iron-Seared Coulotte Steak - ordered this medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes and green beans were prepared really well too. This was a hit and there's no where else that I know where you can get something like this for $12. Corn Fritters with Shrimp - Little corn pancakes with a nice crust. Topped with seared shrimp. Other dishes - Gochugang Fried Chicken Sandwich - I thought the main attraction - fried chicken - was pretty good. Well fried and seasoned well. The supporting cast needed work. Bread was doughy and the fries were soft. Smoked Salmon Pate - I think we were expecting a cold smoked salmon dish, but this was like mashed, cooked salmon. It was ok, but not really our thing. Opera Cake - flavors were pretty good, but overall a bit dry. Not sure how far in advance they need to prep these. We enjoyed the amuse-bouche and market greens salad, which could have used a lighter touch with the dressing. The spaghetti with mussels needed a little salt, and the pork shoulder had a gamey flavor that wasn't quite for me. Service was slower at our table toward the back, and a few more check-ins would have been welcome. The students were unsure how to describe the amuse-bouche, so building familiarity with the dishes and ingredients would be helpful, especially when answering allergy questions. It's still the first month, and I appreciate the opportunity to support students as they learn. I look forward to seeing their progress and trying another monthly menu in a few months.
