I went with a friend and we ordered the French toast combo (golden brown French toast garnished with seasonal fruit and powdered sugar and two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage $20.59) and the BLT Sandwich (sourdough bread, chipotle aioli, bacon, lettuce, and tomato $15.60) and Spicy Fries (seasoned fries with chipotle aioli and chili flakes) to split and share. The food was delicious and seasoned well. Everything was served hot and quickly. I appreciated the thick cut bacon on the BLT and how crispy the fries were. I do wish the BLT had more bacon on it. The sandwich was still good nonetheless. My friend enjoyed their meal as well. This was my first time visiting R&R Cafe. I had been to the restaurant that was at the location previously. Saturday mid-morning is a great time for breakfast, yes? After a disappointing moment while ordering at a different restaurant, we walked out and searched for another place to eat. R&R's Cafe (Rivera and Ruiz) popped up and just a few minutes drive away. It's a small place, clean and a handful of tables. We sat down and placed our order with our food server. Coffee first, followed by our breakfast plates, then a small shared order of French toast. Our food came quickly, hot and was well prepared. Portions were generous but a perfect amount, didn't feel like we overate. Coffee refills kept coming, never had to ask. Street parking available, no parking lot. You can order takeaway or eat in. This is a fantastic place! The cafe is decorated very smartly. This establishment is super clean. I really can't say enough about how welcoming, kind, accommodating & efficient the staff/owners are. The food was delicious! I had 2 eggs over medium; bacon & hash browns, all were perfectly cooked! My husband had the pancake special. He really enjoyed his pancakes, fried eggs & bacon as well. We look forward to going back next week to share their spicy fries & their BLTA. Unexpectedly delicious breakfasts in the most unexpected area of Richmond. We went here after a medical procedure where someone special had not eaten since the night before so he was HUNGRY. Holy smokes this place makes their own corned beef hash from scratch. I had an egg breakfast and they gave me a little corned beef instead of the bacon or sausage. Best choice btw!! Guest had French toast and bacon. We were both enchanted by our adorable server and the staff - all wonderfully welcoming. This place makes AWESOME breakfasts. Stop here and drop a nice fat tip because their prices are low. Give them some love because I want them to be there the next time I have to go to Richmond. This place is the BEST!!! I was always so intrigued at trying this cute little hole in the wall place as I drove past it many times. I was not disappointed with the service and cute little ambiance of the place! The owners are kind and I can tell they are just so proud of this place as they rightfully should be! I can taste the love in each bite. It's small but don't let the way it looks on the outside or even inside fool you! The food is AMAZING! You'd be surprised at how people can actually ruin French toast, but this place has it DOWN. Everything on my plate was delicious. The French toast was fluffy, not too cinnamon-y, perfectly toasted on each side, and each bite was just such a delight. This has to be my new favorite place to get the best French toast in my small little town! We arrived at about 11am on a Monday and only the counter was available (they have 5-6 tables that seat 4 people each). There wasn't an empty table while we were there, though service is quick and tables freed up regularly. The counter allowed us to watch the cook make our food in the open kitchen. My husband worked as a short order cook when he was just out of high school and says the cook was doing everything right. The food is American style offering breakfast and lunch. I ordered the tortilla omelet which is chorizo, pepper Jack, avocado, and pico de gallo served with hash browns and toast. The chorizo was delicious and not greasy. Best omelet I've had in quite a while. Husband had the chorizo scramble which has said was good but not as good as my omelet. I'm already planning my next visit for a BLTA burger. The service is friendly, efficient, and attentive. Clearly this is a place with a lot of regulars. It is a very homey and comfortable atmosphere.
