This is why you aren't an option during a boycott... I avoid the bathroom because of the smells. But wanted to go. The line was quite long. So I order a drink, a medium and got a small. I should've got a receipt but never had this problem before. And they didn't care.

1776 4th St Berkeley, CA 94710 This Peet's Coffee has a prime location in the center of Berkeley's Fourth Street Shopping Area. It has limited indoor seating, but has an outdoor patio. The counter area has alot of baked goods available, and non-coffee drinks. The other day, my coworker treated me to a cup of coffee at this location. We walked in just before 2pm on a Monday. There were no customers in line. I guess no one likes hot coffee when it's near 80*F in the shade. I ordered: 1 Medium Cup of Americano, $4.80, 12-oz ( That's Espresso + hot Water, I added 2 sugars) My coworker gave them a tip. The staff were really friendly and joked around alot. Soon the coffees were ready, and we were on our way. Yes, I would return.

Boy, talk about extra Prime location. This place was poppin' before, during and after our stop! Hubbers and I (with pup in tow) did our brisk walk around the area and we decided on a drink before heading home. It was a unusually warm East Bay day (which was kinda nice, especially for the season) so I felt like an iced matcha latte. Hubbers went for his usual regular latte. It took a minute before we found seating outside (it really does get crowded here!) but once we settled down, I went in for our drinks. Line was, as expected, also long, but servers got to us in no time. I also got a piece of their butter almond croissant to maybe elevate the experience a bit. FOOD (and drinks): 4. SERVICE: 4. Although there was very little interaction (understood - they were busy!) every staff member hustled to make sure everyone for their stuff as quickly as possible! VALUE: 3. Pretty average. PARKING: Street and public parking lots. Always ALWAYS an issue in this part of Berkeley. Plan ahead. OVERALL: 3.75. Good first stop! Might make another one should I find myself here sometime in the future.

Workers being rude and yelling.

Super uncool staff. Shift lead (blonde guy with blue eyes) and Salem (dark, curly haired Latina) and John (Latino with mustache) yelled at me and my girlfriend and told us to "get walking and get out" because we didn't leave two minutes before the store closed. What the heck?? I'm still in shock. If Peet's mint tea wasn't so good I would never go back to any of your locations.

Left to right: shift leader, John, Salem

Terrible service. We went to the store to buy coffee, and my boyfriend was adding honey to his cup and stirring it when the staff suddenly asked him to leave because they were closing at 7:30. It was only 7:27. He tried to explain that it would only take a second and that we'd leave right after, but they immediately became rude and demanded we leave right away. Things escalated when a staff member named Salem started yelling at us and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. This was completely unnecessary--we were clearly about to leave. Another staff member, John, also yelled at us to get out. Meanwhile, the shift leader, a blonde guy, just stood there watching his staff scream at us without doing anything to diffuse the situation. We weren't doing anything wrong, and it wouldn't have hurt them to wait a minute for my boyfriend to finish stirring his tea. But instead of showing basic decency, Salem chose to threaten us with the police over something so minor. This experience was unacceptable, and no one should ever be treated like this. Avoid this store at all costs.

This is a nice location I'm surprised I found a Peet's coffee that stays open until 6 pm , the lights were lovely the service was fast I stop here for my morning bun warmed and ice water and at times a ginger shot

Love this place. All staffs are very friendly. It's one of the few places where you can spend a comfortable and relaxing time at the outdoor table.

The aesthetic is 10/10 with the cool ceiling tiles and murals about Yemeni coffee history. It is way better than sitting in a crowded library basement. Service The staff is honestly so sweet. The server was super welcoming and actually took the time to say hi. You don't always get that when places are busy so it felt very community oriented. Coffee and Food I ordered the Heyma Latte and it was gas. The espresso is smooth and not bitter at all. The latte art was actually insane and I almost didn't want to drink it. They also have some wild sounding specialty drinks like a Dubai Latte and a Banana Date Smoothie that I am definitely coming back for when I need a midterm pick me up. Ambiance The marble tables and the lighting make it a great place to post up with a laptop or just hang with friends. It is clean, cozy, and just has a really good energy. Definitely adding this to the regular rotation. If you are tired of the same three coffee shops you need to check this place out.

Inside, the place features a warm, communal, and traditional atmosphere designed to feel like home. Great and beautiful interiors inside, it was like you were stepping into another place not in the USA; I guess one can say the decor is Yemeni-inspired; exquisite and ornate windows, sofas that exude sophistication but also comfort. Coffee was just okay for me.

Parking was easy though, with plenty of street parking nearby. The person at the register was friendly and gave helpful tips and recommendations. While waiting, we spent time watching the co-op roasting facility in the back through the glass windows. That is what really makes this place stand out. There is indoor seating but at 11 am it was completely full! There was some outdoor seating that was open. We tried the rose latte and it was spot on. The rose flavor was subtle and well balanced, not overpowering at all and the coffee was delicious! The only downside was that there were no gluten free pastries available that day, although I have heard they sometimes offer them. Overall, great coffee, a relaxed vibe, and a unique experience that is worth checking out and we will be back!

We ordered an iced mocha and two of their pastries. I thought the coffee tasted pretty solid, it wasn't too sweet and the pastries was really good. The baristas seemed friendly, there were a lot of regulars that was able to skip the line because the barista knew their orders already (no shade!) There are plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It's super cool that they roast their own beans in-store.
