One of my favorite cafes to go to in the east bay! Parking can be a little hard to find, but there are nearby parking garages and street parking. The food and drinks are always yummy!! The workers are all super chill and sweet too. They also sell items from small businesses as well so definitely take your time checking everything out if you ever decide to come to Polaris. I usually get their matcha and their breakfast burrito. Both always hit the spot. The burrito is very filling and they do not skimp out on the ingredients. They also give you a hot sauce to go with your burrito. I love bringing people here to just catch up or to do work. Been wanting to check out Polaris for a long time and finally got the chance! Cute location and aesthetics. Parking was a bit hard to find. They have matcha and coffee along with breakfast burritos and salads. We got the viet coffee with their seasonal cream top; banana biscoff! The banana biscoff cream top was delicious! But the coffee was too sweet for us; we like dark/strong viet coffee. It also tasted a bit watered down. Breakfast burrito was hefty and very filling!!! This is one of my go to cafes! The staff is so kind and helpful and will always assist in any drink recommendations and questions I have. The ambiance is lovely and the fact that it is an open plant filled office space makes it so amazing to sit and journal or study in. They even have great breakfast burritos. My friend and I shared the pesto & tuna sandwiches which were both good. We also both got the upgraded Caesar salad which was so delicious! The cinnamon roll is yummy but I'm not the biggest raisin person. If that's your thing, you'll love it. I found this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try. There is plenty of street parking. You walk in and ordered. I ordered a white rabbit. They sell a few other things like stickers and syrups. The area where you sit is next to where you order. It's has huge tall ceilings there's a ton of plants with so much lights. This is the most relaxing coffee shop I've ever been to. I adore this cafe but it is such a hassle to order drinks for a certain time period online and for the items to not be ready. I understand you want your matcha to taste fresh for the customers, but as the customer I expect my drink to be made on a timely matter and I am aware if I show up late, that's on me if my drink is layering. Also I would understand if the barista were carefully crafting my drink but to arrive later than the expected pick up window to be still met with a "I'll prepare your order right now" and seeing the barista rush to make my drink is quite upsetting. What is this magical place? While doing a drop off in the area, I Yelped coffee spots in Emeryville and Polaris Cafe came up highly rated. Such a unique spot. The patrons inside also seemed to think so, and this spot also seemed to be the "it spot" in the area..I love a spot that has regulars turned friends! A very fun menu I might add filled with brekky items, pastries, hot & cold drinks, and soup of the day. There's seating within a botanical oasis also..my best way to describe it? But I'll let you come up with your own adjectives :)) I ordered a Vanilla Cream Iced Coffee and Boichik Bagel toasted with cream cheese. They also have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and deliciously looking baked goods. I also had my eye on the Banana Mocha and Iced Taro with s'mores cloud cream...ummm, yum! One more thing to note..my total came to $15. What a steal for East Bay prices! For a bagel/topping/large drink..I'll take a morning win! One minute away from Emeryville's Amtrak is this cute hidden cafe! They have a beautiful indoor setting that can get full, but their outdoor seating is just as nice too. While you wait for your order, there are a bunch of local items to shop from. I definitely need to get the flavored syrups next time. From their menu, I tried their cream top flavor of the month, pandan coconut, with a matcha latte and added a toasty bagel with their roasted jalapeño cream cheese. I thought my sandwich was barely OK and to be honest, I threw most of it out. I ordered the chicken cheese pesto, it was loaded with cheese, wet and slimy and the chicken was clearly that frozen pre-prepared stuff. I was not feeling it. They don't sell sodas so you can pretty much only get coffee in there. I don't really want coffee with my lunch. The atrium of this office building where they have tables and chairs is actually sort of cool, very tropical. It's still the atrium of an office building, but it was different. I just came back and stared at the menu and realized there is nothing here I want. If you want coffee and a pastry, I think it's probably fine. Came here on an early weekday morning and stayed until closing because it was just that nice. :) What we ordered: + Breakfast Burrito [3.5/5] + Oatmilk Latte [3/5] + Matcha with Raspberry Cream Cheese Cloud [5/5] + Green Juice [6/5] (would highly recommend) I thought the oatmilk latte tasted mostly like earthy milk. I enjoyed everything else a lot more. The matcha with their seasonal raspberry cream cheese cloud top was so well-balanced and I would definitely order it again! The matcha itself was okay but the cloud top was heavenly. The breakfast burrito was also a bit dry and had very little meat, but the portion size of crunchy greens was delicious. The Green Juice is amazing. I would've ordered 2 more to-go. It's creamy and not too sweet, but tastes both sweet and "healthy" at the same time. Would highly recommend! On the day we came, they had this scavenger hunt amongst the greenery with hidden bear bottles for free labubu figurines. such a hidden gem, only thing is parking isn't great, so funny that they sell labubus for above market price... I had an oat milk latte and I really enjoyed it! I liked the friendliness of the staff and I loved the outdoor space-- it was quiet with a lot of trees. I was able to sit by a fountain and just be present. There's a road nearby but not a lot of cars. And even though it's close to the freeway the sound doesn't travel so it felt tranquil. What a beautiful spot to drink your coffee and sit down to relax or work. I know that it's inside of a bigger complex, but being able to sit in an atrium while you sip on your drink is really something else. I got a breakfast bagel sandwich and asked for no red onions, and it was of course a very solid sandwich. The avocado mash was seasoned well and had a strong citrus flavor so it was a bit refreshing too. I tried a sip of my partner's green Thai tea, which was the drink special of the day. It was 100% one of the best Thai teas we've ever had. Thai tea tends to go too far into the milky zone where you can no longer taste the tea itself, but they kept this one very floral and aromatic. It also wasn't too sweet, though still hit the sweet tooth craving, so it's probably still full of sugar lol. I don't usually go to the east bay anymore, but I'd want to make it back here if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Absolute gem in Emeryville. Despite being located in an office building, this cafe has such character and an amazing ambiance. Right outside they have a beautiful sitting area full of seats and greenery. The women working there were all lovely. I wasn't sure what to get and they gave me a few recommendations and I ended up going with the Matcha with Biscoff Banana cream. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I will be back! Such a cute little cafe that imbedded into a business buildling. It was a quirky indoor garden ( i believe part of the business building) but you can sit out there and enjoy your breakfast and coffee. Service was very friendly. No complaints here. The coffee did take a little longer than expected, but there was a few people ahead of us. Or maybe we had bit of a complicated ordered? I think we waited about 20 mins for it. It was worth the wait for the coffee though. I had the Black Sesame lattle (which I am a big fan) was delicious. It was beautifully done. I absolutely adore this cafe in Emeryville. I don't think I would've ever stumbled upon it but so happy my friends brought me here for a lunch break. It's located within an atrium area which provides great indoor seating that feels like your outdoors with all the greenery. The staff was super friendly and there was a line since it was lunchtime but it moved pretty fast. The menu was extensive enough where I couldn't decide quickly what I wanted but ended up getting the White Rabbit with cereal cream foam and the chicken pesto sandwich. Both were AMAZING. The chicken pesto sandwich had the greatest cheese pull and was probably one of the best chicken pestos I've had in a long time. The White Rabbit drink is supposed to be an ode to the White Rabbit candy (didn't taste much like it but was so goooood) with milk vanilla, sugar and topped with butterfly pea tea. The added cereal foam was the cherry on top and made it all the better. My friends say that they alternate and have monthly different cream foams but I really loved the cereal one so for the sake of those reading this review, I hope they keep it or have it back again. I also loved the little stuff you could get in the store. They happen to be having a deal when I came in this time so my friend and I ended up getting a good bit of things. I brought home my best friend an ube extract which he loves and I got a reusable straw (glass?) and butterfly pea tea from Oakland Tea company. We even got to the meet the owner and I loved being able to support this local, small, women-owned business! Overall, such a great spot and recommend coming here if you can! The White Rabbit, which is a customer favorite, in my opinion was super sweet and although there is butterfly pea tea in it, it didn't bring enough bitterness to balance out the drink. That being said, I would probably get the Brown Rabbit instead because of the espresso in it. I did add the White Rabbit to some coffee when I got home and it definitely helped. It was my first time here and I didn't know what I wanted so I stuck with the customer favorites, but just by looking at the menu, I definitely want to return because of the wide variety of different flavors that aren't offered at other places in terms of coffee drinks. I would also maybe try the food too because those opinions look great. This is a little cute coffee shop located in a big building surrounding by what appears to be big businesses/healthcare. It's a little hard to find, but that's what the Maps app is for. The inside decor is amazing filled with plants and other aesthetically pleasing things. Outside the cafe, it's an atrium filled with plants and tables to sit at. The staff is super friendly and will probably answer whatever questions you have. There is street parking you have to pay for and some of the parking garages were for the businesses so you might turn into the wrong one and have to reverse out before finding a public parking garage. Overall, I will be back because the menu still intrigues me and I know I would want to try more things. read more

Stopped by Polaris's Cafe on a Thursday around noon, and it was busy with nearby office workers grabbing lunch. This place is small but super cute, with a fun, modern aesthetic that makes it feel like a little escape. I got the pesto chicken sandwich, and honestly? It was solid--fresh and satisfying. But the real standout? The White Rabbit tea. It was sweet, creamy, and this dreamy mix of blue and white. It is a bit on the sweet side but I would definitely get that again. The vibe here is laid-back, with lots of greenery in the lobby giving it a chill atmosphere. I ended up hanging around for an hour to get some work done, and no one rushed me, which was a nice plus. One weird quirk--the bathroom situation. You have to get a key from the front desk, trek through the garage, and then find it inside the gym. A bit of an adventure, but hey, at least they have one? Biggest downside? Their hours. They close at 2:30 PM and aren't open on weekends, so if you work a regular schedule, catching them can be tough. Otherwise, this would be a spot I'd visit more often. Would I come back? Yep, if I'm in the area and it's open. I love Polaris! Great drink selection if you like milk tea, iced teas, matcha or espresso drinks. This is a great place to study or get work done, especially on weekdays. Staff is also super nice and quick service! I would recommend taking public transit here if possible since street and lot parking are really expensive in this area. Super cute cafe with great drink options! This cafe is located in a building across from Emeryville Amtrak Station. There's a parking garage across the street, and there's also some street parking. I came around 9:30am on a weekday, so I found street parking around the corner from the entrance of the building. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, but there's plenty of seating available in the building itself. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I wanted to try everything! I ended up getting an Iced Ube Latte w/ pistachio milk. This place was probably my first time seeing pistachio milk offered as an alternative. I've had pistachio milk before. It's subtle and you can't really taste the pistachio, so I decided to get that with my latte. According to the drink description, they use their house ube syrup w/ real ube. I really liked the drink. The ube flavor was very subtle though. I would've liked more ube flavor, but I enjoyed the drink nonetheless. I loved the seating area in front of the shop. From the stone seating to the plants, it felt like I was in a forest. It's a great spot to hang out and do work. There's wifi and restrooms (ask staff for key and directions). I've never rushed to write a review so fast after my first time somewhere but I was WOWED at Polaris. When I'm at the Emeryville Amtrak station, I usually frequent a different coffee shop because I'm running late. Today I had time to try somewhere new and this will now be my go-to place from now on! The small entrance is SO unassuming from outside with just a door labeled "Polaris Cafe" in a brick wall. Stepping through the door, I was greeted by the welcoming baristas, so many lush plants, local artwork, and colorful decor. The baristas told me that their menu was on their other door and I continued to be amazed at the BEAUTIFUL indoor shared seating area with floor to ceiling windows, healthy greenery, and aesthetic seating. I originally came here because the drinks were Asian-inspired and sounded very yummy. I got the Brown Rabbit, a drink with double espresso shots inspired by the White Rabbit candy--the JOY I experienced trying this drink was just what I wanted. I'm actually upset that I didn't try this place earlier, especially since it's RIGHT ACROSS the entrance to the Amtrak station.
