Quality/Quantity - Huge location, especially the parking lot. This location can look so beautiful, just see the potential with the architecture. See pictures. But garbage everywhere, I only took one picture. No garbage cans around anywhere, not even at the entrance. I need to refill my Clipper cards as I plan to go to SF and want to take the Alameda ferries. But last time I tried to reload online, it failed. Clipper card charged my credit card, but never gave me credit. So here I am. Atmosphere - See above, so much potential. The inside was clean and organized though. Open 24/7. Drive thru pharmacy. Huge parking lot, plenty of parking. Service - 5 stars. The cashier saw me walk in and came up front to help me. She was nice enough to check my balances on all 3 of my clipper cards and let me choose which ones to add more funds. She was patient and friendly, etc. I should have gotten her name. I also chose this location as it was on the way to my new grocery shopping stomping grounds. Price - Reloaded $20 a card. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1901. 1931 Walgreen drug store. 1948 Walgreens.

It should be ILLEGAL for advertised "24 hour" locations to close for hours at a time in the middle of the night!!!!

This location is supposed to be 24 hours, yet the stupid workers keep closing it between 10pm and 6am. And all the lights are still on, and a stupid security guard is just sitting behind the door. What the F*** is the point of a "24 hour location" that's never 24 hours for people who need it???? Make sure you call in advance EVERY TIME if it's after 10pm, to confirm if they are open. Even if they get annoyed. For instance after midnight today I called and they said they are only closing from 3am to 4am. Cool. Fast forward to 5:45am and the stupid id**ts are now closed again until 7am. Now why didn't the girl tell me that they were going to close AGAIN at 5/530am until 7??? This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! CALL CORPORATE!!!!

looks like it used to be a movie theater

It's just a normal Walgreens, but from the front it looks like it used to be a movie theater in the 1950s. It has super neat art deco(?) architecture in the front, and even still has the marquee, now advertising deals and specials rather than the latest flick.

Walgreens used to be one of my favorite places to walk around as a kid because their toy shelves were always full. Now as an adult, I noticed it's almost always empty when I'm looking for little toys for my kids. Anywhoo, we had a last minute wedding and printed all of our signage, invitations, pictures, etc at Walgreens. They were fairly plain and sometimes off centered but there are almost always coupon codes you can use on the website. Everything came out beautifully!

Huge ass sign, saying they're open 24 hours

Planning to hold my package here but their schedule online says no pick on Saturday Sunday, is this real even though they're open 24/7?

Probably just means no new pickups because the mail dosnt run on sat/sun

Only giving this a 5 because of the amazing gentleman who helped me last night with my mobile pick up around 10-10:30 PM.

OK, so first of all let me just say I love Gigi and Christina and a few…read moreOf my favorite staff members there, but they recently decided to redesign the entire store and put things out of place and so now we have to find things all over again Other than that, I think they need more cashiers on hand, cause the lines are way too long, especially in the morning hours and rush-hour evening hours If you have cashiers at every station, not just a few things will go a little quicker and lines won't be as long, but it seems like only a few stations are available at a time each day The only other thing I hate about the places that we have to get people to unlock things and for things like toenail, clippers, and shavers or whatever they put it in lock boxes, which is ridiculous

This Walmart on Davis St in San Leandro is a frightening SLUM. I thought I'd walked into downtown…read moreTijuana. Filthy, massive long lines, no room to push a shopping cart down any aisles, for all the indifferent employees wandering around like they were high (who can blame them, working there?), and the shelves poorly stocked. I drove a HALF HOUR to this location for a small kitchen appliance I needed to cook with since my stove is broken, and this was the closest to where I live. I tried ordering it online, the online ordering was seizing up, the item said "in stock," so I thought it would be "in stock" if I walked in and bought it in-store. NOPE. Gone from the shelf. I was not familiar with any part of San Leandro, and no one EVER answers a phone in ANY California Walmarts in Customer Service (you'd die trying, with the phone ringing for the next 50 years). So I had to drive in. The parking lot is like a convention of the most depressing and depressed-looking people on Earth and everything just looked filthy. I think the inside of County Jail is cleaner. So I drove to another Walmart a 9 minute drive away, the one on Hesperian, hoping I wouldn't be met with the same nightmare; I wasn't. The Hesperian one was clean, the lines moved fast, and the shelves were well stocked. In this one on Davis, the impression is just chaos and anarchy in the entire store. The Hesperian one is still a Walmart (and God help anyone for braving any of them), but at least THERE (NOT HERE!) I was able to get what I came in for, and leave, within a short time.

The staff here go above and beyond for customers…read more Yesterday I needed distilled water, but the shelf was bare; Jorge got me two jugs from the back and took them to the counter so I did not have to lug them there; truly a customer-centric employee! Nico in the photo department deserves a special mention too. I do a lot of photo printing at this store, and Nico always remembers my name and is friendly and super efficient.

Thank god I don't have regular medical issues to need to shop at a pharmacy regularly. I came in…read morehere to find a specific OTC nasal spray after my husband's surgery, after checking both of the nearby grocery stores with no luck (partly because Safeway now has their entire pharmacy section behind glass). About 50% of the aisles here are behind glass, and it's absolute chaos. The same exact medicine in the same exact box will be both behind glass and not behind glass in different sections of the same aisle. Different formulations of the same thing, different sizes, name brand or generic, there's no logic whatsoever as to what's behind glass and what isn't, or even what section of the aisle something is in. I found the same medicine on opposite ends of the same aisle, both behind glass and not in both sections. So you're left trying to compare the ones you can get without calling over the *one employee in the store* to open it for you. You're scrounging the entire aisle, looking at the fine print on every product to see if it's just another brand's equivalent name for what you're looking for, comparing prices and added ingredients on everything. Trying to decide whether the one you can just pick up off the shelf is the one you want or whether it's worth calling over the employee to open the shelf for you so that you can even look at the other options. And then I got a headache and just bought the cheapest one I could pick up off the shelf. Good thing I already have headache medicine at home, not sure I'd survive trying to find it here. I'm never coming back.
