It is a bit slow since there was only 1 person helping the drive thru and inside line, but once we got to the front, it only took 15 minutes to get our medication. I'm really disappointed with the service at this Walgreens Pharmacy. I called in a refill on Sunday, May 3rd, and was told it would be ready for pickup after 8 AM on Tuesday morning. I went to pick it up on Wednesday, only to be told it wasn't ready yet. When I explained that I had already called it in on Sunday, the employee initially said she didn't see anything in the system and told me to come back the next day. After I reminded her again that I had called in, she suddenly "found" it and told me to come back in 2 hours and that I would receive a text message when it was ready. I never received the text message they promised. I returned on Friday, and once again they couldn't locate my prescription. After more searching, they finally found it -- but they also tried to give me someone else's order at the same time. I had to explain that I only had one prescription and asked them to verify it using my phone number, not just my last name. The entire experience was very unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the drive-thru wait was over 20 minutes. For something as important as prescriptions, accuracy and communication should be a priority. This pharmacy seriously needs to improve its customer service and organization. read more

I wish I could rate this a 0. A time sensitive medication was sent on a Tuesday evening and was not ready until today... because they were "out of stock". Out of stock of a profilaxis medication that is time sensitive for patients to take IMMEDIATELY. This pharmacy failed me and now I may be facing serious health consequences due to this failure. I will not only be writing to your corporate office but also file a complain with the better business Bureau as well as filing a complaint to the California State Board Pharmacy. Quality/Quantity - Huge location, especially the parking lot. This location can look so beautiful, just see the potential with the architecture. See pictures. But garbage everywhere, I only took one picture. No garbage cans around anywhere, not even at the entrance. I need to refill my Clipper cards as I plan to go to SF and want to take the Alameda ferries. But last time I tried to reload online, it failed. Clipper card charged my credit card, but never gave me credit. So here I am. Atmosphere - See above, so much potential. The inside was clean and organized though. Open 24/7. Drive thru pharmacy. Huge parking lot, plenty of parking. Service - 5 stars. The cashier saw me walk in and came up front to help me. She was nice enough to check my balances on all 3 of my clipper cards and let me choose which ones to add more funds. She was patient and friendly, etc. I should have gotten her name. Not the best Walgreens because of how much trash is strewn about in the parking lot, but I love that they have a 24-hour drive thru pharmacy which is always less busy in the late nights or early mornings (great for busy parents such as myself). Walgreens used to be one of my favorite places to walk around as a kid because their toy shelves were always full. Now as an adult, I noticed it's almost always empty when I'm looking for little toys for my kids. That's when I noticed the perfume case was not only unlocked it was completely empty! Upon closer inspection... they rigged up these little cardboard paper cut outs of all the bottles of good smelling stuff. You then point to the picture you prefer..ume. Consistently horrible service at the pharmacy. You can have an appointment and it doesn't matter they will serve you when they decide to. Their logistics is the worst I've seen. My partner had an appointment for his flu shot and he came earlier so he wouldn't miss a work meeting and they didn't give him the shot until 1.5 hours later. I went to target for my flu shot and they had a line of people and they still gave me the flu shot in 5 minutes. I have come here for my Covid test and waited at the drive-thru for 15 minutes and no one came to the window despite me ringing the bell. Then when I went inside they said I couldn't be inside the store and said that I had to be in the car - with no regard at how they were not responding to the drive-through window. Then later, we went to pick up a basic prescription and the sign on the window said "Pharmacy system is down, drive-thru is open" but it did not say that the window was closed, since there were quite a few people in line and waiting. She ended up serving others but not us and was upset that we didn't read the sign to which we said that the sign was not clear and that she was serving people clearly in front of us. I will be switching my pharmacy and will not be coming here ever again. And if you ever want to wait 30 minutes to get your prescription in a "drive-through" line, this is the place for you. On a week night at 8 pm, there were 10 cars in line taking on average 5 minutes per car. You can easily watch your night fade away in line. I've lived here for 32 years, and this Walgreens is open for 24 hours. Since 2020 I will admit there has been a lot of theft. They hired a security guard, but to me the employees take it too far because they act as if the property being stolen is coming out of their pockets, when Walgreens specifically tells them not to interfere, but yet the older ladies just have to say something or do something.. Last time it was about one in the morning and my whole family had Covid except for me so I desperately needed medicine. They had a long line outside and they would only let one person in one by one. Right now I came to get some medicine cause I'm severely sick in the middle of the night. It's currently 340 and I came up and they have a sign that says store closed and it says closed for lunch from 3 AM to 4:15 AM to me that doesn't mean for operations that you shut down the entire store and to me this is the management thinking they can do whatever they want again , I understand to keep theft down so they could probably take their lunches together to be on the floor together but in the railroad people can't wait in the parking lot for you to open up. If you don't wanna work at Walgreens get another damn job. Only giving this a 5 because of the amazing gentleman who helped me last night with my mobile pick up around 10-10:30 PM. I went to the regular line. No one was at photo like it says to go to for pick ups. The cashier helped me and got my order for me when I first went up to him it looked like he tried to call for his manager, and no one was came or responded back. He spoke on the overhead too and no one came so we walked over to photo so he can get my order for me. on the way out as he's walking back pretty sure it's his manager. She was Asian descent with black frame glasses she was walking by NOT HELPING didn't even look like she was working She embarrassed him in front of other customers everyone could hear waiting in line she demanded him not leave there and he has to stay there, if he needs anything to call for her she did not say this in a friendly way. She said it as if she was scolding him. Well guess what that's what he did to begin with because the manager was nowhere in sight or came when he called and when he spoke on the overhead! so is he supposed to have the customer just standing there waiting for whenever the manager is ready to come out and make an appearance all he did was his job and help me as the paying customer. as a manager, she should be helping at the front and not leaving one employee by themselves to figure it all out by himself do better and learn how to talk to your employees before you have no employees & you're up there by yourself getting your karma back if you hate your job so much then don't work there. You could definitely feel the hostile work environment from her. This is not the first time I have have trouble with this Walgreens Pharmacy, mainly the person who says "I'm the Pharmacy manger" The latest is a wrong strength prescription was filled for me. I didn't notice it till a couple of days later when I was about to take it. I went to the pharmacy and explained the situation to the "Pharmacy manger". I understand mistakes happen and I did have a newer prescription same medication but different dose. I say I need the correct dose and please refund me what I paid for the mistake. He said if I purchased the correct medication he could not refund me my money??????? I said it was your mistake. I need to purchase the correct medication to take. So I ended up purchasing the correct medication. I did contact the corporate offices the next day and the store manger called me and apologized, offered me a refund. She said just go to the pharmacy and she would tell them to refund me the money, anyone could help me. Went to the pharmacy to get the refund, guess who was there and didn't have time to help? The "Pharmacy manger". The tech's and cashier said he would have to do it??? I left. I will return, one more time to speak with the manger of the store and get my refund. Long lines at RX inside & outside! Often no answer from on phone calls to this store (RX)! They need to improve!!!

The Pharmacy is HORRENDOUS!!! From time to time you'll get a text message and a phone call informing you your medications are ready BUT when you don't get the call or messages you'll have to call the Pharmacy to check the status and trying to reach them is like trying to get in contact with the President of the United States. Omgggggg, ITS H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!! When calling to check and see if my prescriptions are available you're waiting for eternity!!!!! That is IF someone doesn't hang up on you OR IF or WHEN someone does answer the phone they don't know the answer (I'm assuming it's an overflow line because it's between business hours) and they still transfer you back into Cue OR the phone will ring and ring and ring and ring and ring and ring and ring ANDDD RING until it automatically hangs you up. Then you'll have to call back anxiously hoping someone will answer. For instance today I started my journey calling at 2:30pm two hours later I'm no closer to finding out if my prescriptions are ready or not. I was in Emergency last night and dropped my prescriptions off at 5:30am, they said it'll be ready by 7:10am. It's 9 hours later and nothing! I can NOT get in contact with someone to see why it's taking so long especially since they said it'll be ready two hours after dropping them off. I don't want to go to waste gas (as expensive as it is now), time and the little energy I have left to find out that it's an insurance issue, the prescriptions weren't filled out properly and they need to get in contact with the prescribing Doctor (can you tell I've been down this road before?) just to turn around and go back home. The drive thru is DREADFUL and exhausting!!! The line always looks like they're giving something away for FREE!!! It's always wrapped around the parking lot in a L shape to avoid spilling into the street. NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY YOU GO! Your wait time in the drive thru is STARTING AT A HOUR IN A HALF!! This evening I went to pick up my new prescription and it took ONE HOUR AND 43 MINUTES!!!!! The Drive Thru & phone issues have been an ongoing problem for the last 8 or 9 months. It's unacceptable, especially for customers who are ill and in need of medication to make them feel better. I'd also like to mention them not carrying a lot of medication in stock. They won't keep you informed if it's out of stock OR they won't let you know the duration of the waiting time to get it back in stock. It's been several times I've had to wait a week or two AFTER the promise date because it's not in stock. The lack of communication SUCKS!! I've been a regular customer for years and nothing runs smoothly. Today, Sunday 6/22 , the whole store is closed till Monday. The infamous long waiting time for pick-up or refill at Walgreens pharmacy has added more dumb staffing to the store. I thought I was lucky enough to be the first one in the line on a Sunday evening, but, they spent 15 minutes dealing with the customer ahead of me. Then, a dumb thing happened. Nazia picked the other customer who just arrived in the store instead of me. There, it took another fifteen minutes of waiting before she came up for service. I am a senior of 76 and have feet standing problem. Nazia gave priority to the young customer who arrived 13 minutes later and behind me. The problem was she took another 15 minutes to work for this younger customer. I was furious that the 30-minute wait caused my feet pain again. This place is mostly a miss and is sad, specially with the pharmacy. When i got my shots, they were super nice. But it seems they're so understaffed, customer service is suffering. It's a pharmacy. You come in, pick up your prescriptions, and walk out. Quick and simple. How bad could it possibly be? WRONG! I had to go to this pharmacy 4 times within 3 days to get all my medications. Day 1 8pm: My mother was short of breath and had been to the ER. We chose this pharmacy to pick up her prescriptions because it was close to home and open 24 hours. We were asked to return later because the medications were still being processed. Day1 10pm: I returned. Their computer system was down. I was told to come back in 30 mins. Strangely, their computer system seems to have issues very often because it had happened 2 weeks before. Luckily, I didn't need to wait too long this time. However, I was able to pick up only 3 out of the 4 prescriptions because the remaining one was out of stock. Day 2: Walgreens informed us via phone in the morning that our medication was ready for pickup. I returned again at 6pm, but was told that the last prescription was still out of stock. I inquired about the earlier phone notification. Their explanation was that the notification was a delayed message for the 3 prescriptions that I had already picked up. O_o Day 3: I prayed and returned again. When I lined up at the pharmacy, there were already 5 customers in front of me complaining about being neglected. Meanwhile, 6 people (pharmacists and staff) were working in the back, none came to the windows to assist us until one lady loudly (but respectfully) demanded attention. We didn't get a response right away, but eventually one lady came to the window. When I picked up my mother's medication, I heaved a sigh of relief. I'd never imagined that picking up prescriptions would be such an arduous odyssey. To some extent, I should be grateful to Walgreens because it taught me an important life lesson: Don't take things for granted, and cherish the little moments that bring joy to life. read more

WALGREENS is located on one of the four corners of the intersection of Washington Ave. and Lewelling Blvd. Since I work from home (drafting patent applications), and save three hours/day because I do not need to commute, I typically devote several hours per week to these two activities: (1) Landscape photography and; (2) Burning music compilations on blank CD's and then making enamel paintings on the CD's. What this means, is that I need to make periodic trips to Walgreens, for example, at the Washington Ave. location in San Leandro, in order to have my photographs printed as 8 inch by 10 inch color prints. During the past year, I have had about 120 photographs (each, eight by ten inches) printed at Walgreens, and the result was absolute perfection for every photograph (great color saturation, perfect color balance, accuracy in color reproduction). What this also means is that, as part of my trip to Walgreens, I need to stop at nearby HOBBIES UNLIMITED on Manor Blvd. to buy more enamel paints. Attached are images of my most recent photographs, and these include: (1) Photograph of elk by a pond near Tomales Point Trail at Point Reyes. (2) Photograph of other elk lounging in the meadow just south of this pond. (3) Photo of my painted disc, where the disc contains space age lounge music, for example by Martin Denny, by Esquivel, and by David Rose (Holiday for Strings). (4) Photo of my painted disc, where the disc contains drum & bass music, for example, by Squarepusher and by Aphex Twin. This location of WALGREENS is huge. There is a front aisle, where the photograph-processing section is found, and a rear aisle, where the pharmacist's counter is. Most of the rear aisle is used for displaying toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss, manicure devices, nail clippers, artificial eye lashes, pads for putting into shoes, and bandages. In addition, there are twelve aisles that are each oriented from the front to the rear of the store. After spending 15 minutes taking notes, I asked one of the clerks, "IS THERE ANYTHING THAT YOUR STORE DOES NOT SELL, BESIDES NOT SELLING JET PLANES AND ROSE BUSHES ? ! ?" That is how amazed I was a the huge selection of things for sale. These twelve aisles have these things for sale: (1) Refrigerated beverages, snack foods, medicines for stomach problems, medical devices, such as stethoscopes and blood pressure measuring devices. (2) Vitamins, eye drops, soda pop, wine. (3) Canned foods, cookies, coffee, cereal, medicines for colds, bed pans. (4) School supplies, walking canes, tampons, walkers for old people, toilet paper. (5) Detergents, candles, baby food, diapers, bubble bath. (6) Bug spray, cat food, electric extension cords, chocolates, chewing gum. (7) Hand lotion, holiday candies, holiday decorations, toys (Hot Wheels, bathtub toys such as a floating duck, Star Wars characters), and Play-Doh. (8) Women's pads, Huggies, Fantastic Four toys, Hot Wheels toys, condoms, pregnancy tests, crayons, picture frames, magazines. (9) Gift wrapping paper, holiday cards, birthday cards. (10) Socks, deodorant, shaving cream, electric hair curlers, electric hair driers, hair bands. (11) Hair bleach, hair dye, shampoo, Rogaine (to make hair grow on bald spots), acne medicines. (12) Make-up, lipstick, wrinkle remover, eczema relief medicine, psoriasis relief medicine. During today's visit, I spoke with two employees at the photography counter. Each understood exactly what I wanted, and both employees patiently answered my questions, despite the fact that there was a line of three customers (each wearing a paper mask) in back of me.
