Expensive!!! I went looking for shorts and found a pair that I like, but they were too similar to ones I already have and I paid $25 for mine and these were over $60. It's amazing how expensive clothing can be these days even at a discount store like Nordstrom Rack. My husband likes Nordstrom Rack so we shop here. I found a reasonable short sleeve knee length blue and white dress. I loved the pattern and style, but when I tried it on I looked too fluffy. Too bad I was all set to buy it. I loved the fluffy sleeves and the length was perfect. I next checked out the shoes. I found some Birkenstock that were my size, but they were still over $100. Too bad, I could have used another pair. They had some nice swimsuit, but also too expensive. The suit I was looking ing at was $68. I bought my 2 suits for under $40 and were just as nice. These prices our out of my price range. I'm thinking this store just isn't for me. read more

Outstanding shopping experience. Store is clean, friendly - check out fast - its very close to the high level of customer service of a traditional Nordstrom store. I looked around for a week to try and find a one time use tie at lesser store: Ross + TJmaxx for an event and never got lucky. Went here and found two good options - I was very impressed at that selection. Shopping in the area through Covid had become almost unpleasant at some points in time - I'm glad to see all that is over with at least at this store. I just went in for a quick purchase - but I will be back for more soon. 5/18/25 Quality/Quantity - My wife tricked me into taking her here... She said a quick in and out... But 2 hours later... Other than Tommy Bahamas, they do not carry the brands I wear any more. One of us is out of the times, lol. Amazingly Marshalls had a few shirts that caught my interest; see other reviews. Might have been the first time, but I still did not buy it as I have too many. So while my wife shops, I just walk around aimlessly. If only the Racks had a bar like your regular Nordstroms! Atmosphere - Good size location. One of the major anchors. Plenty of parking. I only came to this Nordstrom Rack because it was right next-door to the Marshalls and was hoping that they would have some variety but that immediately came to another realization... This location has very limited variety for men's clothing. What I mean by that is, the majority of men's clothing were the exact same brands just marketed in different price points. All of the clearance section and discounted sections revolved around the exact same stuff. I ended up purchasing two items that I knew would be reliable, as they were from the lone brand that I've liked from them that I know was of good value and quality but that's doesn't take away that those were like two needles in a haystack. I had to fight to find those two items, and even more was shocked how one of them which used to be a major seller there was like completely discontinued. I do want to praise their staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and had character that definitely made me want to return to see them. I repeat, to see the employees, not shop at this location. I wouldn't say that I had a bad experience here, but it definitely was disappointing and was longer and more frustrating than it needed to be. As a result, I don't know when I will come back here or if I ever will. This Nordstrom Rack gets 3/5. read more

I am an infrequent Nordstrom's customer. Over the years, I've purchased a couple of suits, some shirts, and suspenders for events. Primarily at the Norstrom in Walnut Creek. Recently, I was shopping for Reyn Spooner Aloha Shirts at Nordstrom Rack online. It was great to find 2XL shirts on sale. Spooner shirts MSRP is $119.50 and the Rack had them for $67.50. Of course, not all styles, sizes or colors are available but if you can find something you like, it's a pretty good deal. I ordered three and they arrived within three days. Unfortunately, one of the three was a "tailored" shirt when I was intending to order "classic fit". So I went online, started the return process, printed out the Return Receipt and took it to Nordstrom Rack in San Leandro. The checkout counter is just inside the front doors to the left. There is one queue and about six stations were open. The line was short. I think I was fifth in line, but it moved pretty quickly. Marco M. was working at the station under the sign that said "Pick-up". As his last customer walked away, he looked up and made eye contact and called me over with a smile. I asked him if I should have gotten into the "Pick-up" line for a return and he replied that any cashier could help me. He proceeded to ask me how my day was going as he removed the Return Receipt from my bag. I noticed that he had a badge on his vest that said something like "I'm new and learning the ropes". We had a quick conversation while he took care of my transaction. It went very smoothly, and I was quite impressed with his customer service skills. That he was able to process the return and hold a conversation at the same time is a throwback to times when customers were "king" and store representatives were there to take care of them. I hope that Marco is given every opportunity for success. I found his style refreshing and much more down to earth than I had ever received in Walnut Creek. Perhaps its demographics, but I think it's more about mindset. read more

I came in to purchase clothing for my brother's funeral. About 30 minutes before closing, the fitting rooms were shut down, which was incredibly inconvenient. Since I needed something quickly, I decided to purchase nearly $400 worth of items with the intention of trying them on at home and returning what didn't work. At home, I kept one top and planned to wear a pair of dress pants, but after removing the tags and putting them on with heels, I realized they were too short. I set them aside and ended up wearing something my sister had instead. When I returned everything else, I explained the situation to the kind associate at the register, who was very understanding. Unfortunately, as the items were being processed, an older manager approached in a rude and condescending manner. She loudly criticized the returns, claiming the clothes looked "worn," speaking as though I wasn't even standing there. Given that I had just buried my brother and was with my mother, I would typically speak up in this situation but I didn't want to cause a scene, I simply wanted to get away from the horribly unprofessional snooty manager. Later, I was shocked to see my Nordstrom bill still included a pair of pants I had returned. I contacted customer service, but was told the manager claimed they "never received them." I've been a Nordstrom customer and cardholder for over 20 years. My grandmother and mother have been loyal customers as well. Why would I invent a story over $50 pants I didn't even want? This entire experience, from the lack of compassion to the unprofessional behavior of the manager, was deeply disappointing. I'm left paying for an item I don't have, while Nordstrom dismisses the word of a longtime, loyal customer. Sadly, this has ended my relationship with Nordstrom. It's unfortunate that $50 in disputed merchandise mattered more than decades of loyalty. read more

Ok, I'm sorry, or not, but what a shit show. I came in here with my partner on the hunt for work clothes for her. Upon entering, the total chaos hits you like an express bus in the face. Completly overwhelming. There is no organization, just racks, and racks and racks of mish-mash clothes everywhere. How about a little organization folks. Women's tops here, skirts here, pants close by and let's go a level deeper... Dress tops vs casual vs work attire vs scrubs. No organization at all. All mixed together on endless floor of racks. How does anyone find anything in this store???? Same for skirts, dresses and pants. So much for women's. I ventured into the men's area for a minute and left immediately since I don't need any clothes at the moment or the increased aggravation from chaos. Maybe people have the time to surf the endless sea of chaotic mismangled clothing racks to find what they want but my partner and I have a life so bounced pretty quick instead of having our souls sucked dry by this nonsense. read more

But, it does seem like the employees working here are constantly trying to keep things organized the best they can. They do have a lot to choose from here, and it is somewhat expensive, although, I think, it's less expensive than the regular Nordstrom store prices. The men's area was rather small, which I kind of expected. Parking in the lot can be a challenge sometimes, especially on the weekends!! I find it disappointing that online pickup orders don't have a separate line for the folks that want to be in and out. I mean that is the point of a pickup order. The employee I asked about online pickup orders was very nice and apologized that I would have to wait in line. I assured her it was not her fault. The line was extremely long and it was not worth to wait in that long line. It's inconvenient that I feel obligated to pick up my order another day. Overall, having a separate line or allowing team members on the floor to take online orders would make a much better experience for online shoppers. I do appreciate having my order done quickly, it's just this one thing. read more

This morning I ordered a jacket online and then went to pick up the order when it was ready. Unfortunately, the store no longer offers an online order pickup window, so you are forced to wait in the regular checkout line to pick up your order. With two employees manning the registers at 12 noon on a Saturday in October, and the line reaching approximately 30 people, it wasn't physically possible for me to stand in the line to pick up my order. So, this means I have to go to the store again in the morning, try to be there when they open, and then rush to the checkout counter to avoid waiting in a long line. I was in Nordstrom Rack on Thursday to pick up some items I ordered online for my Granddaughters. While we waited in the Pick Up line , I noticed the Cashiers were busy and was not paying attention to me except the Cashier named Marco. As soon as he was done he came over to help us. He walked up with a smile and asked if we needed help. He found all our packages and asked if we needed a bag for all our items. He was so helpful ,friendly and professional. My Daughter and I thought what great Customer Service Marco provided. I noticed he is like that with every customer he works with. . Nordstrom is very lucky to have someone like Marco working for them. He goes the extra mile to make sure the client leaves with a smile on his face. The manager, Julia, made a phone call and was on the line for quite a while. She was able to get me a digital gift card within a day or two. RED-TAG CLEAR THE RACK or Nordstrom smok'n crack & Selling *pretentious left-overs * After spending two hours looking thru their "red tag" sale and waiting in an extremely long line for checkout I set my cart to the side and exited the store I made it a point to tell the security guard I forgot my wallet outside and I would be back however I really wanted a moment to collect my thoughts so I could decide if I was going to support a business that treats its customers like criminals. Why did I feel this way? - because the whole time I was in line the security guard and what I'm guessing was their loss prevention employee kept starting at me and walking up near me and saying comments then whispering to each other making sure to look directly at me while I was in line. The starring and comments made me uncomfortable to the point that I changed my mind if the stuff I was gonna buy was even that great to put up with this type of treatment from the clothing store employee(s). While I was in my car gathering my thoughts I noticed two of the employees came outside and walked past my vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. This irritated me so I went back into the store and asked the security guard who was one of the employees that was starring and also walked around my car outside if it was ok that I was going to go buy my items now. His comment was "well something may happen" what do you mean I answered what's gonna happen? He then wouldn't tell me what he was talking about instead got on his radio and said something to the effect of "she's here" and kept walking to and fro from where I was standing. I asked his partner what he was talking about but he couldn't tell me so then I went to retrieve my basket and the first security guy said oh they took it back even tho he knew it was mine and that I told him I needed to go to my car and he knew I was at my car because he followed me to it. So I walked to the area of the store where I originally found the items I was goi g to purchase but they weren't there so I looked around for a few minutes and noticed that wherever I walked to the security guys were walking past me essentially following me around. Well if you want me to leave then don't hide my items making my presence at the location to be extended because I'm trying to locate the items again and if you don't want my business at all then why are you even open for business in the first place? Not everyone intends to steal or just because it may look like I don't have money doesn't mean that I didn't have the money to pay but since you want to treat me like I don't I changed my mind on my purchase I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

You really will need to spend time here and look for bargains but from their pool of merchandise, most are near retail price. On occasion you'll find the right price but wrong size and will just need to keep hunting. I'm here way too often than I'd like to admit. I like to order Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack items online and have it shipped to this location for pick up. With that being said, there is only one line for all orders, returns, and online pick ups. During rush hour and weekends, the line can get pretty long. For the most part, I've had good experiences here, finding great deals on items. There's been a couple times where my pick-up process was drawn out. The staff had trouble finding items and ended up telling me that it probably didn't ship yet when my email did notify me that it did (I did go back and got my item a few days later). One thing that they can help enforce is making sure people keep their distance in the line. There are markers on the floor, but a lot of customers did not follow the guidelines, which makes things uncomfortable. read more

Out of all the Nordy's Rack, this is by far my favorite. It's a large warehouse room, one floor, ample racks to scorn through and I know the layout very well. And even if they change things around to keep you confused, it's still bearable to maneuver and spot out what you came for. This outlet seem to have the largest and best supplies. They have all the designer name brands here, so, you don't have to dig hard to find those golden tickets. And when I do find perfection, I'll stock up and buy multiples of the same brand with different styles in the same size. That's how I roll. I still remember my first treasure hunt here, it was a pair of Vera Wang kitten heels. I snatched them up in an instance. It was still $100 but it's VERA WANG! You'll never find that price anywhere. On the weekends, especially a holiday weekend, the lines are ridiculously long. But though it's long, the line keeps moving along, that's what counts. You have to be in the right frame of mind to shop these racks because if your not in the mood to dig, then you won't be bringing anything home. Now... go shop! NOTES: Weekdays have parking. Weekends... beware of parking space snatchers, it's ruthless out there. Wish the parking lot was larger because that Nike Clearance Center brings in a TON of people! read more

I haven't been to Nordstrom Rack in over 20 years and that is a loooonnnngggg time. I am glad I called them yesterday to find out whether they accept credit card payment...yes, they do. Whew...that saved me a trip to Nordstrom in the Westfield Plaza in San Francisco via BART. I was greeted immediately by a store employee, asking me if I needed any help. I told him I just wanted to make a payment on my bill. He told me to stand at one of the registers and another employee would be assisting me. Whoa! I did not want to do so because there were at least three customers in line, waiting to make purchases. (Hey, I'm not gonna piss somebody off by doing "cutsies".) I browsed around and noticed they had some nice handbags by Michael Kors, especially a purple one going for about $190.00. I did not bring my Nordstrom credit card, so I couldn't purchase it. Besides I was only there to pay a bill, not to do any shopping. As usual, Nordstrom's customer service is on the up side - excellent. When I have more time on my hand and without any pressure from my husband to hurry up, I will be back to this store to do more browsing and shopping. read more

I've always had great assistance/interactions from all the associates here. Much better than other Rack locations. They are helpful and more friendly here. For example, I made a few returns for some online items, and they actually interact with me! Unlike other locations in which the associates appear upset that I am making returns and also do not even bother to say a thing, not even a "thank you" or a "have a nice day." The associates here are always wanting to help. They also have great selections compared to other locations. The lines are somewhat manageable during the peak days and hours. But don't go shopping if you're impatient to deal with others or long lines. Pack your patience, smiles, and strike up a conversation with your line neighbors! read more

I really like this Nordstrom rack because they tend to have a good rotation on woman's clothing and shoes. When I'm in the area I would visit to see what they have. This time around I wanted to stop in to see if I can find any dresses for a wedding I am attending next month. I was a former Nordstrom employee so I appreciate the workers at all Nordstrom establishments because they're all awesome. But unfortunately there was a situation that probably will not have me returning for a long time. I wanted to try on a couple dresses before I made a purchase. I tried a couple on and decided to look one more time before I left the store. I found a dress that caught my eye and wanted to try it on. The dressing room attendant told me to go to any open room available. I picked the handicap room since the door was wide open and what I noticed walking in was a lot of clothes all over the place, honestly what I expected from an outlet store anyway. There is NO lock on the door, so it's safe to assume if a door is closed it's occupied. I am topless and in my underwear about to try on this dress... and a Karen storms in, kept the door wide opened, and demanded me to leave the dressing room. I am basically not clothed and in shock. I had to beg her to close the door and she wouldn't close it because I was in her dressing room and her belongings were in there. I had to tell her to close the door so I can put my clothes in and then she can have her room back. This Karen made it so uncomfortable for me, claiming her items are all over the room so I shouldn't have taken it, that I was stealing her stuff, and badgering the attendants that this is room and she wants to reserve it.. like this is an outlet store... If you want the full service just go to Nordstrom in SF or SJ. Since the dressing room was a mess, honestly it could look like someone just tried on a bunch of items and left. The last straw was Karen telling me she was protecting me with her chakra so other people don't bombard... LIKE LADY THAT'S JUST YOU. As a WOC, I felt humiliated and degraded from this situation. I left the room and went into another and I was so upset that I could barely try on the dress I wanted to try on. I did talk to a manager and they said unfortunately they can't do much. I get it, it is tricky with store policy but this was the most disappointing retail experience I ever had so far... and i always have low expectations for retail lately since the pandemic started.
