The workers there are super friendly and helpful, the only downside is that there are a lot of items always out of stock especially the hair dyes from ION. Other than that, this store is well organized and convenient especially if you want to get other shopping done, like Target, Lucky's or Ross! read more

Thank you to the girl with purple hair, I think her name is May. She greeted me upon entrance and asked me if I needed help. She walked me to the aisle and shelves to the products I needed to purchase. Purple hair girl gave EXCELLENT service!! Unfortunately this review would have been 5 stars, had it not been for the other employee in that same aisle. She never looked up because she was too busy talking about her personal relationship with someone else. Even when I checked out, there were 3 people in line and that other employee still had not looked up to see what was going on in the store. Walked in for help today. Every single worker there is rude and unprofessional. No one wanted to help. Incompetent people every single one. no one is excluded. read more

I was greeted upon entry. I knew what I wanted and headed over to that area. An associate walked over to me and asked if I needed help. I didn't at 1st, but then I decided to ask a question about hair color. I am not a cosmetologist. Brandi was so helpful and informative! She knew the color wheel, what colors cancels out others, etc. I felt like a student learning about products that would work best for the hair color I was trying to achieve (it worked). read more

Worker was super rude for no reason. He got upset I didn't say hi which I did. Then he decided to say some smart to my partner. His name was John. Then when leaving said I don't need anything over here anyways. He cussed at me in Spanish. I am a disabled veteran and I am hard of hearing. After all that he tried to follow me in the store like I was some type of thief. I left I will never be spending my money here. They are a joke. read more

The staff was friendly and helpful. They found what I looking for immediately and provide other suggestions.

This location always has friendly employees that offer to help you! I usually just run in for some hair dye. Just wish they had more sales on hair dye...or at least the one I use from BondBar. read more

Is there any wonder why they "can't find" what they are selling? This place has been "reopening" over a year....find another spot, don't bother with this location. Not only o ly do they NOT have the product but it's HOW you communicate. She said I can look through a couple boxes but I can't check them all....no apology no nuthing...too bad for me... read more

Good service, selection with reasonable prices. The only thing I would change is the increasing sadness of this strip mall but it's super accessible from the freeway. Beside the Menchies read more

I visited recently and noticed an overall improvement in product knowledgeability and friendliness compared to years ago.

Pandemic update: They are open for in store shopping! They completely changed the inside so that the aisles are wider for social distancing and the store is very clean. I posted a picture of their current new hours. (It was boarded up due to the election but was still open. They are not boarded up anymore) Also the staff was nice and helpful. It is great being able to get beauty supplies again for bleaching/dyeing my hair. read more

Sally Beauty - Pandemic Hours - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - San Leandro, California

This Sally's location had everything I needed and they are constantly restocking when I do go. I wish I got the two ladies names working this morning (9am). They were extremely helpful! I don't shop at Sally's often; but when I do, I'm always stressed out. No matter how much independent "research" I do, walking into Sally's is confirming that I am about to do something crazy. Last night, I botched my partner's hair. I came back early this morning to fix it and I was supported by the very sweet and extremely knowledgable young lady (tatted). She literally walked me through step by step on what I needed to do and was confident about it. I get home and get right to work! DANG! I was able to rectify the situation and be proud of it. I'm satisfied with the customer support received and how knowledgeable this particular staff was. Great job, Sally Beauty Supply! read more

NEED TO BE A MEMBER? DON'T GO! Waste of GASI You will need to be a member in order to shop. I needed hair products and more for personal use at home. Maybe $200+ worth of products? Sucks they don't take walk ins customers. Good Luck! read more

The employees are a lot more helpful. It could use some back up products. Like many other Sally's they're out of things frequently but overall I had a way better experience than I did a year ago. read more

They carry what I need for my hair usually, but it seems like they are out of stock quite often :( Parking can be a little tough depending on when you come, but it's not terrible. There are also a lot of other places to go walk around in the same little plaza so that's always nice! customer service here? They greet you, and ask if you need anything. I usually don't lol. Check out is usually quick as well. I will be back when my hair needs more color =] read more

Wow, I had the most amazing experience just now. I am so impressed by the customer service. Big shout out to Justine!

I wish staff were a little more friendly and helpful. It's a clean store, but when I've gone, staff aren't really available or interested in helping or answering questions, which with a Sally's, that's what you really need when you go there. I'll only come back when I know exactly what I need. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I just walked in there looking for a product for my wife. They actually had the product but refused to sell me one because "they just arrived and haven't been put out yet" even though the box was sitting there open. She even showed me one, "Is this it? Yeah, you can't have one because they're not out yet." Even worse, the woman working I dealt with was unapologetic and acted as though me wanting to give them money was an inconvenience. Worst customer serve experience ever. Never setting foot in a Sally store again. read more

So I went to Sally's when the pro beauty supply was closed, I had my guard up and was ready for the rude service I received the last time. I was caught by surprise with the great customer service I received from the tall gentleman named Cameron. They went above and beyond, not just with me but all the other customers. read more

Thank you to jennifer and Kayla for your help today setting up my account today. Great customer service. Will continue to shop there.

Are they open or not. The website says they are. Go in person and it's boarded up. Call and it says they offer curbside and to just push 3 to speak to an associate for curbside but no one answers. Ever. Annoying. Could you at least put a sign on the boarded up door? Geez I hate leaving negative reviews. I have ordered online before but it takes forever and a day and usually they are out of stock on an item or two. We can make this work with masks and limiting customers like everyone else. Or you could actually offer the curbside you're advertising . read more

I just tried calling this store and someone picked up the phone and hung up on me about 3 times. Their store hours is until 8pm. I just wanted to know if they had a certain hair color there. I wish I could put no stars. It's one thing to ignore my calls but to pick up the call and hang up is disrespectful. read more

So I come in knowing what I'm looking for, fortunately, because I got no help whatsoever. I asked for this purple shampoo and the lady behind the counter who wasn't helping anyone as I was only the second customer in the store, just pointed in the direction of what I was looking for and proceeded to have a conversation with her coworker about money and how she feels like she could never be responsible for someone else's money. Yeah, that's right I know there conversation because that's all they were doing while two customers were wandering around the store looking for items. THEN when I get to the register, they literally continue their conversation while I am waiting with my items on the counter lol. Really? I'm just being polite and looking at my phone to see how long it takes for them to finish before she starts ringing me up. 3 minutes! Lol this isn't customer service over the phone, I can literally see you ignore me. Then I enter the wrong PIN number, which is my bad, but then she doesn't notice I'm waiting to run my card again for another two minutes because they're having another conversation. This is literally the worst case of DGAF attitude from an employee here. Management, I'm assuming you're not aware of this because this reflects poorly on you and your leadership. Please talk to your staff about customer service and to leave the personal conversation for when customers aren't present. It's none of our business and shouldn't cause a delay in our shopping experience. Thank you. read more

Every time I come is closed. Management is so inconsistent. Plus, lately they're out of many products.

Worst customer service ever. After "I" greeted myself I guess because I was already in a good mood. There were two ladies, one of each side of the wall. One just totally ignored me when I looked at her but the other lady who was in my opposite direction at least said Hello. So, whatever. I asked the grim girl if she can check a specific color in the back, and she came out quickly and said there weren't any. Weird. So, I decided to get a different color, and even so she even messed up on the transaction which caused me to wait! On top of that, I had my membership expired, and NOW she wants to take her time looking for the sticker in the back because she didn't have any at the front. Not on top of their service, and not inviting at all. I hope they retrain their employees because this is within my local area and I already felt uncomfortable going back again. BTW, I only post if its worth a review. read more

It was definitely nice to step out of the rain. I figured that any warm place would be better than walking around outside in the cold. Not ENTIRELY true. Yes, it was most definitely warmer inside, but the in-store experience wasn't all that. For a retail store being so small, you'd imagine the focus would be the customer service (2nd to the products they sell, I suppose). By the time my g/f got to the register to ask about some earrings, the lady seemed uninterested to help and bitter to be there. While ringing up the earrings, the lady tried to upsell my g/f on some body cream, but didn't even present it in an appealing way. Even if my body were to be shriveling and dehydrating in the worst of ways, she wouldn't have convinced me to buy that cream. Oh well, what can ya do? read more

so...you know a place has horrible service when you literally dread going somewhere. This one of those places. Every time I go in, I think its gonna be okay and its not. Every person that I've talked to who is working is extremely rude and unhelpful, they make you feel like asking them questions is a burden on them. When really, it is what they are getting paid for. Usually, I have sympathy for employees because I work in customer service and I know how it is when you have one of those days where you just really dont want to be there and customers are annoying. But come on, every time? I would never be as rude to a customer as they are, even if I'm in a bad mood. Anyway, went in here the other day because I'm allergic to nickel and needed a belly button ring I could actually wear. I spent hella money on one here specifically because they told me the belly rings are stainless steel. (Of course "all sales are final"). Anyway, I know that I'm not allergic to stainless steel. The one belly button ring I own that I am not allergic to is stainless steel. I put the one I bought from here on and by the next day my belly button was actually more infected than it has ever been even with the cheap ones. Basically, this store is a waste of time and a waste of money. Find somewhere with quality service and merchandise. read more

I'm surprised to read all the negative reviews about the service here - but I get it. Usually I've experienced the same lack of enthusiasm at the different Sally's locations I've been to. However, my first visit here was great. I was immediately greeted by an associate who asked if I needed assistance, and again by another associate later. When I was checking out with just 2 nail polishes the associate who greeted me - Young African American with long braids - was friendly and even took the time to flip through the catalogue to look for a coupon for me even though I didn't ask. When I said I might have saw a deal posted by the nail polishes, she even walked over to check and found me a deal that saved me $5 on my purchase! Definitely the best customer service I've received out of all the Sally's I've been too even though past experiences have taught me not to expect much from these types of stores. read more

came in here to get some leave in conditioner for my hair since I am trying to get it healthier. I found that and skinny serum (generic of Paul Mitchell) I love The products so far. My experience began months ago with the great customer service that I received from the staff here but especially Camiron! What a joy to work with. Camiron answered all my questions without hesitation or rushing me. One of the products I decided on was 1N Jet Black Zotos AGE beautiful anti-aging hair color (moderately priced). The color did not washout quick, change the texture of my natural hair (African American) or cause breakage. I can go to other Beauty supply stores including other Sally's but, I truly appreciate Camiron's energy and knowledge. Walk in and ask for Camiron, your questions will be answered in a professional way. read more

Gotta say some of the employees are great!! Danielle she is one of them and the girl with pink hair and glasses too (sorry don't know her name)!! I am in decisive when it comes to dying my hair red...these 2 have helped thru it all! Very patient and understanding which I love. I went in 7/12/17 and looking for a cape...I open the package just to feel the material and turned to ask an employee a question about it...well...right away in a rude manner, she said " don't take that out of the package!" I wasn't going to I Know BETTER! I thought just maybe she'd offer up a suggestion regarding them! Nope just went to the back room. I'm like that was rude! Don't know her name but she's a white girl dyed blond hair...a bitch!! Then I found pink hair girl (she's awesome)and helped me out with a product to help the red not bleed out as fast. Her confidence in the hair coloring aspect is off the charts! I trust what she says due to #1 she dyes her hair #2 happy to assist the customers #3 she'll help find a solution for any hurdles we may have and if SHE isn't sure, she'll ask the manager (white girl black hair and tattoos very nice) I went with what they suggested and am excited to see what my hair turns out to be! I always go back to show her /or Danielle how my hair turned out!! Now...there a a few employees that really need to be retrained or plain out fired!! When you're in a customer service position, be nice even when you don't want to...BE NICE! We're your paycheck!! Managers...be aware of your rude employees! Also all employees should wear a name badge...always. That way, we as your returning customers know who we're talking with and helping or not helping us and being a bitch...next time, the blondes rude I'll be a bit more vocal about her mouth! The store is usually very clean sometimes they're stocking and carts are in the way but never had an issue with it tho. I mean if the employee isn't right there stocking, move it out of your way! Not that hard and not a big deal to bitch about it. Lol All in all great store. 95% great customer service! It is the ONLY Sallys I go to mainly, its close to my house, with danielle and pink being awesome why go anywhere else! The one on mission in Hayward needs a complete remodel of store and a whole new crew...very rude, judgemental and kinda racist....stay away from there!! read more

I like this particular Sally's location. They are pretty nice and always ask if any assistance is needed. The cashiers are always pleasant and don't argue with you or have an attitude. I even stepped on the foot of a woman that worked there and she was so nice about it. I mean she could have mean mugged me but she is always really helpful and pleasant. They are always stocked up on all my necessities like Baptiste Blush dry shampoo and Loreal HiColor hair color. One shout out goes to the girl with the punk rock hair that gave me a piece of tape to try out nail polish on. A+ for that. It's always clean and organized at this locale and I feel the staff is pretty knowledgeable about the products they carry.
