The suitcase was security locked and I requested it be opened to see if it was suitable for me. Great customer service. However, theft has been on the rise at this location. Now you have to enter and stand in front of a TV with loss prevention until they give you the go ahead to pass the entrance.

This experience at the San Leandro Target on September 1 at approximately 12:50 PM was incredibly disappointing. I had a curbside order totaling around $180, with many of the items being for work, including drinks, snacks, and other supplies. For some reason, my order was split into two separate orders. I received the first order and then waited approximately 20 minutes for the second order. When the employee finally came out with the second order, he began unloading the items into my trunk in a very careless manner. He was essentially throwing the items into my trunk and slamming them down. These were items I had just spent $180 on, and I expected them to be handled with at least a basic level of care. After he finished, he closed my trunk, but it did not actually close all the way because some of the items were sticking out. My car beeped and the trunk automatically reopened. When I got out, I noticed that items had fallen out of my trunk onto the ground. I said, "Excuse me, you didn't close the trunk all the way or load the items properly. Some of my items fell out." His response was honestly the worst part of the entire experience. He looked directly at me, turned around, and simply walked away without saying a word or offering any assistance. I was completely shocked. It was not just the careless way my purchases were handled--it was the complete lack of acknowledgment, professionalism, or basic customer service afterward. I regularly shop at the Pinole Target, and I have never experienced anything like this there. I understand that employees have busy days, but being busy is never an excuse to treat a customer this way. As someone who manages employees myself, I would never allow one of my employees to treat a customer this way. Customer service should include basic respect, accountability, and professionalism. This interaction genuinely ruined my entire day. It was the way he looked at me and intentionally walked away that really stuck with me. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning to the San Leandro Target for curbside pickup. I have already shared my experience with my friends and coworkers because I believe customers deserve better than this. I sincerely hope management reviews what happened and addresses it with the employee, because this is not the level of customer service I expect from Target.

The value for the stuff is good too but they can get even cheaper with the red stickers and much cheaper with the final yellow stickers. Great selection of clothes and furnitures. They removed the other cashier line that used to be by the doorway on the other side by Kohl's. Also, they have clean restrooms! Overall I had a great experience and would come back when I'm in the area.

Quality/Quantity - This location has really gone down hill. You have a dangerous parking and driving situation. And you keep expanding your parking lots; I think more expansions are coming?!?! Now to the inside.... Again, so many of the customers here are so rude, are you all ALWAYS in a rush?! Don't even try to get a sample?!?! No more self service check out... I wonder why (saracism). Lastly, the employees have to "toughen up" to deal with the current customers. Let's not even talk about the long gas lines. Atmosphere - It was a great convenient location for me as they have additional shopping across the street - Home Depot, Walmart, etc. Expanded parking lot, thank you! So parking was not only easier, but also smoother. It added an additional two ingress egress. Most importantly, the GENIUS that closed off the gas entrance from the mall entrance deserves a HUGE raise!! The line and flow to buy gas has improved significantly, thank you! This still holds true before 10am. Open 7 days a week, from 9am till 7pm or 8:30pm; see Yelp or their website. I'm an executive member, so I will ONLY visit this location before 10am. Service - Best return policies!! I am a self-service person, so I use your self service checkouts when available, which are NOT available any more... Departments available are: Bakery, deli, food court, gas station, tire station, pharmacy, optical department, hearing aids, etc. Price - The cheapest Costco gas prices in this area, cheaper than El Cerrito and the 2 Hayward locations. Other prices are consistent with Costco. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1987. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Then one day, all of the sudden they stopped having the great kind of dress shoes especially occasion shoes and my size. I'm very tall. So I noticed that but I continue to shop their clothes and then one day they stop selling my favorite brand. After a couple of months I was able to ask someone about that she said she didn't know why they stop selling that brand but she had been waiting for some herself and they just stopped sending it. Okay so I continue to shop and I just noticed more boring clothes coming in and clothes that I just wouldn't buy so I will come there on occasion and a couple of times I went there and I ran into someone I knew so although I only bought one item I got to see my old friend. Then I went there and the only thing you could really buy is a purse and I didn't come all the way over there just to buy a purse. I wanted to buy some clothes. I had some reward money to use and went online to place an order. I placed my order on a Sunday morning and I received a pickup email on Monday morning. The store is located in the Castro Village shopping center and it was busy on Tuesday afternoon when I came to pick up my order as the parking lot was quite full. I showed my pickup email to the cashier who went to the back to retrieve my order. The process was quick and efficient as I was on my way. Sad, that there aren't that many Hallmark stores around anymore. This location is the closest to me and will be back for future in-store shopping or online pickups.
