    My girl wandering the aisles
    Julie C.

My daughter is a thriftaholic so we had to stop in this beloved little shop in our neck of the woods. Located at a busy intersection in Ashland, this store includes outdoor displays of clothing, knicknacks and purses. You can find men's and women's clothing, lots of books, vintage cookware and plates, and various other items. The owner/cashier is friendly. My daughter's debit card was accepted so I'm not sure why a previous reviewer claimed the store is cash only. My daughter was thrilled to get a blouse for a $1. Not even dollar stores sell items for a $1 anymore. We will definitely return for more finds.

Found some great finds in this little shop. From practice to quality vintage. I got Haviland Limoges and Homer Laughlin china for super value. 3 bowls and 1 dish (cracked but rare) for $5! Nice lady helped me pack up.

A mesh wooden box, Mickey mouse headband, and a spider web lace cloth all for $2

I needed to buy a headband to finish up my Halloween costume today and was trying to decide between Goodwill or Hidden Treasures. I figured both would be full of people for Halloween. I try not to support Goodwill if I can for reasons I won't go into, so I chose to go to Hidden Treasures, risking not finding what I needed. I'm SO glad I went with my gut and came here instead. It was a bit odd to drive into, as I had to go a roundabout way due to its weird loop driveway. It's a tiny little store with outdoor displays that drew me in. There's another building that looked like an abandoned house called "Hidden Treasures" but the building next to it was the brightly displayed store. There's a lot of typical knick knacks but all arranged in neat trays and containers. I found the Halloween area near the front of the store and caught sight of a few headbands. I also spotted the lace cloth and mesh box as shown in my photo and thought why not. There were no labeled prices. The lady looked at my items and said "how about $2?" I said ok, what about my other two items? I thought she was talking about the headband. "No no, $2 for everything." I was shocked. No way this is possible for today's inflation and prices, especially not in the San Francisco bay area. But I paid her $3 and told her to keep the change. There are quite a lot of kennels and Elizabethan collars for animals recovering from an injury. Animal lovers - definitely check this place out too.

the hidden treasure corner is behind Jack in the Box?, next to Silva Bakery. it's a small shop. inventory is mostly dishes, electrical applicances/media, dvd's books, movies, dishes, memorbilia items, & some clothing. the books mostly 20 years+ of age. many cookbooks, diet books, fictions, nothing recent. buys: "Beloved" (T. Morrison), "Another Country" (James Baldwin)@1.

So many cute heels! Great brands too!

It's a small thrift store with no price tags. You browse around and once your done you head to the register and they give you one price for all your items. Lots of Knick knacks and you have to really look through things. I however find it very fun and exciting thrifting. That's the point. The location is tucked away but there's lots of parking. The area is a little run down but everyone is minding their own business. I found a couple things and the lady working there was very friendly. I was able to score some vintage Fiesta mugs and some Steve Madden high heels. I found some vintage corelle, vintage Tupperware cups, and newer Pyrex but I passed since I didn't need anymore. I definitely will be back! I wonder if they take donations also. Just remember when your thrifting it's a hit or miss. Sometimes you find something and some times you leave empty handed. The owner states that times are tough so I see his concept for this store. I love it!!!

Very fun treasures and excellent prices. The woman working was a sweetheart and she knew many people that came in by name.

Smells like dead bodies hidden by cheap paint. Gave me an instant headache. No prices on anything and the employees weren't very friendly

Come early as the parking lot can get full. Always grab a cart because there is so much good stuff. Or not-up to you. I like to peruse almost every aisle, looking at each item of clothing- I got a whole system down. Of course I'm paying attention to the color tag sale of the day, but if it's cute, it's going in the cart. The women's section is great but the men's section is good too. Their racks are packed full. They don't have fitting rooms but there are mirrors if you'd want to pull something over your clothes to try on. What's great is that they also have bathrooms. Very convenient especially when you're shopping a long time. The store also has kids clothes, shoes, small furniture, housewares, toys etc. Did I mention they have a lot of stuff? The store is clean, organized and the employees are friendly. Some items can be pricey, sure, but it's all about rummaging through to find those hidden gems and getting a good deal. I think it's fun. I truly love this place and always come back when I'm in town.

There isn't a fitting room, so I generally try things on over my clothes. While most of my experiences have been good, the staff hasn't been as nice during my last few visits. I wasn't aware of the no-tag rule unless a specific lady was there to change the price. An employee quickly took an item from me, telling me oh well come back tomorrow. Their staff isn't the nicest and sometimes ruins the shopping experience regardless of their selection of items.

I said, I'm calling a thrift store and I don't know if this is who you are. He reply Yes. I said as a business you should say hello this the thrift shop to confirm to people you are a business. He replies, you called me! Rude; after I just explained why he needs to act like a professional and reference the business. I tell him I'm not from Hayward and willing to drive there if you would do a quick look to see if you have any CD players and cassette players for a stereo system, not a boom box. He said he thinks he has some. I explain I am willing to drive if he has some, but don't want to if he doesn't. He say, yes I think we have some. I ask will you please confirm and take a look. He says, I'm pretty sure we have them. I ask how much are they. He says they'er not much. I ask again, would you please check and let me know how much. I see these in other thrift shops for $15-20 dollars. He says his aren't that cheap. I ask how much are yours. He replies more that that. I said that doesn't help me. For Pete's sake, you are not working with me at all on anything I ask. You don't let people know your a business when you answer the phone and argue with them about I called you etc. He is not willing to walk over to physically see if he has a cd or cassette player and not willing to tell me how much he charges. I push him again for a price. He says the CD player and cassette players are over $80 each. I say, that's why I'm asking. I don't want to pay that much. He says his have been gone over and work. I said that doesn't matter to me. What ever shop I buy from, they will take it back if it doesn't work, even at $15. He says I knew you didn't want to spend any money that's why I didn't tell you. I said when someone asks for a price, simply tell them. Don't make drama out of it, that's insulting. Then he hangs up on me. Ask yourself, do you want to be treated this way? Shame on him. He wanted to argue with me about everything. I called him back, of course he didn't take the call. I left him a messaging saying he just earned a negative one star on yelp. You brought it on with you bad attitude. I don' know what position Roberto or Jesus or smoother man? has (answering machine message says she is his daughter leaving the recording. I'm assume it's his business.) It's been along time since I've run into a rude business owner. I've only left one other Yelp review and it was 5 starts. Sorry Roberto, you deserve this review to be read by others.

(aka Union City) I finally had the time to check this place out on my lunch break - given, I was in an instant desire to let go & get my hands off of some fresh kicks (Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred ReImagined - sz 10), that I had bought over a ShockDrop from their Nike SNKRS app hat my homie hooked up for me not too long ago!
