If so, then take your S.O. to San Carlos Ave in Castro Valley. That's where AJ's Attic is and it is like the bro version of antiquing. Slot machines, arcade machines, neon beer signs, and other goodies that those of the male persuasion would enjoy. They have a few things for us lady folk as well. Came out with a perfect golden hedgehog, and a very interesting history of the company that makes them. It seems the company split...one group got the molds, and one the use of the heart shaped labels with OWC inscribed (if you have older ornaments you will know what that is) The group with the molds went to manufacture in China, and they are still in business. The other group has not fared as well. The Chinese ornaments are still painted with the original German paints, and they have released many old designs, including my charming hedgehog. Happy girl!!

As we were walking out a group of ladies were making their way to the front door as well and they too said that the older man made them feel very uncomfortable. Do not buy anything from this dude. Sam is the most dishonest person ever…read more I saw a stain glass lamp I liked from the window (the store was closed) and there was a number to call so I did. I called and he met me outside of his store 15 mins later. Im really trusting, (way too much) and we talked about the lamp. And he asked me to leave a deposit... I shouldn't have. That was stupid of me. I should have seen the lamp first. But he talked me into it :( after I let him with a deposit, he called me to tell me the lamp was in perfect condition, with no cracks or anything. I was happy and I met him at the store. Once again, I'm very naive and way too thrustful.. I saw the lamp on the ground, and I didn't look twice, I gave him the rest of the money and that was it. He put the lamp in the back of my car (was happy to give him money cause things must have been bad during Covid) and I got home. My husband looked at it and there are 3 cracks, the cord has to be changed :( I called him and he said I lied, there was no crack when I left the store... it's impossible I damaged the lamp in my car or at home cause I was super cautious and put the lamp in a blanket to drive home. I know, It's my fault for not looking at the lamp before I gave him the money. And I know that. My point is that this guy will screw you over if he can. Especially if you're a naive woman like me. I'm sad I gave him $440! It's a lot of money. It's been keeping me up at night but what can I do?? It's gone. Just a piece of advice, this guy isn't a good person, he is a liar and don't go there. If you do, double check everything and don't be stupid like me. His stuff is overpriced anyways. The reviews about this guy speak for themselves. I hope you read them before you buy anything from him.
