Bit of an older Dollar Tree. Everything isn't perfect but its all good enough and the bar isn't too high if you are thinking Dollar tree. Items are a dollar twenty five or dollar fifty these days. There are also items that are 5 or 7 dollars. Be careful if you are a penny pinch person. Flea market for you! No soup for you! Sometimes the check out line can be a bit slow. But I was still able to find what I needed. I go here mostly for cleaning supplies and dishwashing liquid. So If you have a store and it has a bathroom, shouldn't that bathroom have toilet paper? This store doesn't have toilet paper in the bathroom. I know people may steal it but you need to make sure you have it for people who have to take a quick pee and not air dry or have to go grab it off your own store shelf for God sake. I know this is Dollar Tree but its still a business and should have Toilet paper in the bathroom for those who need to use the facility.. Don't even get me started on soap yes that too. I have never been to unsafe, dirty, and disorganized dollar store before but this one is my first. From the outside, the store looks abandoned. Then you walk in inside and it's messy and the floor is dirty. The staff were nice during the visit. This area is just not safe unfortunately. I hope them the best and better environment. read more

Marisa at this location is very rude! they overcharged me for about ten dollars and before leaving the register I asked for my money back and she told me to wait. Then she refunded me and refused to sell me anymore items. They seriously need to be shut down. Dec 2021 update, Dollar Tree continues to be plagued by slow checkout lines. I went there today because I needed some frozen food items and there was a line going almost all the way to the back of the store. Because the frozen food is in the checkout line, I got the non food items I needed and then waited until I got to the frozen food freezers to get what I need. If there is any plus, they did have well stocked frozen food goods this trip around so I can't complain but they need to improve their checkout service. Takeaways : *Filling balloons significantly slows down service as mentioned by another reviewer as plenty of people were getting them it seemed like *No more designer shopping bags for sale that I used to see when shopping there, every trip I would opt for the fancy Disney ones and other cute bags they sold here, a shame to see this missing. *Electronics isle had well stocked items such as USB C cables but still seems different overall from the last visit, it's always random *Good to find candy like Haribo Gummi Bears were absent here as well. *Was not able to find a 2022 Cat calendar :( read more

The store is extremely messy. Low on products. There was a stray cat inside the store. Cashiers are unkind and only show good service to those they choose. The value or price is all the same. Not much to select from as lots of items are out. The inside of the store smell like cigarettes and marijuana. I saw a few people stole in there as well. I am giving this cashier ANDREW a bad review he needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY! My husband and I were in line to check out and he calls us to take our belongings. When we got to the counter his phone rings, he answers it and then walks off from the cash register before he even rang us up and then he just disappeared. Dollar Tree store are always fun to look around for that gag gift or disposable items (forks, napkins, plates, balloons) for that office party. Its also a great place to people watch. Sadly, this store can get some interesting 'characters' which is always interesting...think of it as 'theater' while shopping. I normally come here cause it's close and convenient. Today It really had a bad smell like if a bunch of homeless ppl lived inside which a bunch walked out while I walked in. That's beyond the point . I have worked in customer services for years. The polite thing is to great the customer. I approached the counter said hello . No response mind you I'm the customer . I was shopping here this morning and a woman stocker told me that she is unvaccinated and that she will never get vaccinated. Also, she was not wearing her mask correctly, it was under her nose with the nose exposed. She said she has a the flu before and she did okay. Obviously she does not care about her co-workers, shoppers or anyone else around her. She is selfish and only cares about herself since she could expose others to Covid-19. It caused me to feel unsafe shopping there and I got the hell out of there as fast as I could. I can't wait for President Biden's vaccine mandate to go into effect. The message below I sent directly to Dollar Tree and have yet to receive a response. "I purchased some candy from the Dollar Tree on November 9th and tried to return it on the 12th I was told no food items or beverage items are returnable by the cashier, I looked over my receipt and nowhere on it did I see food items are not returnable, the items I bought we're not seasonal Christmas candies I pointed that out to the cashier Sharon, but she just advised well that's our policy but could not point out anywhere in writing where it was printed in the store that is the policy, I've also checked the Dollar Tree's website and under the return policy and it's still not indicated that they don't take any exchanges on any food or beverage items, but it does indicate that they do not refund any money which would be nice for them to post that in their store, you shouldn't have to go to their corporate website to find out the return policy, if it's too expensive to post signs in their stores or have that policy printed on the receipt then they should train their employees to recite that policy at the time of checkout just like they've trained them to ask customers if they want a bag for their items they've just purchased." read more

This dollar tree is not much bigger than your average neighborhood dollar tree store, but I like that the inventory they carry is different from the other stores. I understand each location is different in terms of what they carry in inventory but this location had a package in the freezer section of 2 frozen chicken drumsticks... and also Häagen-Daas personal ice cream in popular flavors of dulce De Leche and strawberry... never seen that at any dollar tree location I've ever been to! I didn't buy the frozen chicken but I did pick up the ice cream. It was delicious!! Fully stocked selection of spices, top ramen noodle packages, canned soups, tupperware, placemats, household cleaning products, and other itemd you find at your average dollar tree location. The christmas stockings and candy were discounted at 50% off and they also had mini pillow pets at $1.00. Everything was well organized and labeled. The store was clean and clutter free. Also, you can get up to $50 in cash back for debit purchases but they charge you $1. Just watch out for the sketchy customers and the homeless man panhandling out front but the store itself was not bad! read more

I love this store! Clean, well organized, and cheerful staff who actually seem to like working here. SO much better than the messy, chaotic 99 Cents Only Store nearby on Mission! Like all these stores, you never know what you'll find! But beware, they may run out and never have that same item ever again. I actually found FLAX SEEDS once. Yes, a pound of flax seeds for $1.00! They cost a fortune at local health food stores. I am not sure if they were organic (probably not) but I like to use them to make "warmie socks." (You fill a sock with rice or flax seed, tie it up, and pop it in the microwave when you need some healing heat to an aching joint....or just to warm your feet in the winter.) Silly me! I only bought three bags--next time I went they were out and I've never seen them again. Balloons! They have them behind the counter ready to go...why pay Safeway prices when you can get a better selection at Dollar Tree? Wonderful toy selection, and great seasonal stuff. Last Christmas, I bought about a dozen huge ornaments and hung them on the tree outside, along with some glittery reindeer and such. It looked so nice....I haven't taken them down yet! Always interesting to look for craft items--since they change stock frequently, there are always new goodies. This store is SO much nicer than other Dollar Trees I have visited. This Dollar Tree is kinda small. But convenient in location. Near the freeway and Safeway. The employees are very friendly and professional. Store is generally always very clean. I find a lot of interesting buys there. Only reason 3/5 stars is the sketchy characters that are always around. Also I like they open at 8am which is awesome I can stop there after dropping my children off at school. I get that it's a dollar store and has many great items. But the crazy long lines with only one cashier at times is frustrating. And then you have people buying helium balloons slowing down service even more. The standard of open registers should change to two or three at a time here. There are only 3 carts in total to shop with. Yes, I counted because I was curious as to why I could never find one. To be fair, they have no locks and people stole them because I see them all over the city. And there seem to be no more hand baskets. Doubtful that's COVID-19 related because every other Dollar Tree has them. Also be aware of the homeless all over the place. Outside asking for money, sleeping on the sidewalk, sometimes in front of the entrance, and inside stealing. I have yet to go in and not watch someone pocket some stuff and walk out. Literally just happened when I decided to write this. Kinda makes one feel uneasy when they're walking around, looking for empty aisles so they shove items in the pockets or pants. A security guard is desperately needed! The staff are usually really good people so this is obviously all poor management. If you have time, I would avoid this location and go to the one in Castro Valley, about 2 miles away. read more

Definitely one of the better Dollar Stores. The store is always clean and well stocked. What really makes this Dollar Store stand out though are the employees. The manger there sets the tone and a terrific example for her employees. She knows her stuff. She keeps this store going. I've never seen a manger work as hard as her.
