After my experience today, I can understand why. I only stopped in to pick up a few household items. While checking out, I overheard staff mentioning that Pokémon cards were being sold at the customer service desk. When I went over there, I was told they were in the backroom. I politely asked for them, intending to buy only two, which is the posted limit. I wasn't trying to buy more, and I'm definitely not a scalper looking to resell like some people do. Despite that, the cashier was incredibly rude and unprofessional. It felt like I had done something wrong simply for asking about Pokémon cards. The attitude was unnecessary and frustrating, especially since I was just trying to make a legitimate purchase. read more

I thought this location was closer to downtown Hayward but it's not that close. It's located near the Hayward Executive airport. Expect to drive a ways through the streets of Hayward to get here. The actual Target store looks fairly new. The surrounding neighborhood is older, industrial not the newer part of Hayward. The store was pretty well stocked, well kept, self serve lines like most Target stores. Because it's located out of the way with not much else around, I don't think I would make a trip out this way to visit again. read more

To begin with..... the cart area is filthy!! Couple of carts had garbage in them. The shelves are sparsely stocked. The cashier had a personality as that of a rock. No hello, no thank you. I placed my bag on the counter and she asked me if I wanted my items in the bag. "Uh no, I'll just carry them" What's crazy is the target at the old Bayfair mall couple of miles down the road is so much nicer. Fully stocked, clean and friendly. Carts are always filled with trash and the wheels are squeaky or stuck and don't work. I recently bought an unwell drink. I was so excited to try it for the first time. When I opened it and drank it, it was chunky. I read the expiration date and it had expired back in January. So I returned it and when I went to purchase a new one, all the unwell drinks on the shelf were expired also, even though there is a sign posted no soliciting there's always someone set up in the front trying to sell something. A cart attendant left this cart manager thing unattended while we were trying to back out. Tried getting their attention but then they went somewhere else before I could get their attention. Not really obvious from this perspective but it took us a while to try and maneuver, otherwise it would've gotten scratched. read more

I went to Target Hayward North for a drive-up pick-up and asked not to have my single item in a bag, as Target's own policy says the bag fee can be refunded if you let the associate know. The employee at this location refused and said it wasn't possible. No attempt to check, no explanation, just "we can't do that." If Target advertises this policy, staff need to be trained to follow it. It's not that complicated when it's literally one item -- I don't need an extra bag, and I definitely don't need to be told something is "impossible" when it's clearly not. Target management at Hayward North: please make sure your team understands and honors the company's own rules. read more

If I could give Zero and a half stars I would 5 times over. This is the absolute worst womens bathroom I have seen anywhere in a long time. I had to go so bad, that I had to find a stall that somewhat had an almost decent toilet. But it wasnt really. Sitting next to a full container of soiled menstrual tampons and a toilet full of soiled paper and piss is just nasty. The store is not that busy. The boycott against your store should have caused you to do better all around, however you continue to disappoint and disrespect the people that still patronize you. Get your act together Target. This is not a good or healthy representation of your Brand that you stand up for and behind so proudly. There is nothing to be proud of about contamination in your bathroom!! read more

My young daughter fell and hurt herself at this location due to store team negligence, and since the date of the incident they have been difficult to get a hold of and work with. You can call the store over 30 times and no one will ever pick up the phone, it's impossible to reach management unless you go in person and even then they're not helpful at all. I've had my contact info "passed around" from management to HR and not once has anyone from the store reached out to speak to me directly or even apologize. This location is withholding footage of the incident because they know they are liable. It's super disappointing as consumers to know that in the eyes of a big corporation YOU DO NOT MATTER. It is soooooo infuriating that at least 20-30 cars parked in the front all.l belong to employees. Why isn't there a policy for employees to park at the back of the lot. If customers can walk from the back, so can employees!!! read more

This is the most modern updated target in the area. Comparing to the one on Whipple this one is more updated and modern because of the added ulta and Disney section. Plus the personal care section is better too. San Leandro Bayfair Target can't say anything at all I never go Bayfair area. I only rated it 3 stars because of the Customer service . This target is too nice to have lazy workers. If you're a store who decides to lock up items then make sure you have the employees on the floor ready to tend to the customers who are pressing the help button on the isles. It doesn't matter who is assigned to what when working at a store ! When a customer needs help and you're only 1 or 2 rows down stalking sh^t and you obviously hear the call button and see customers need help so go help ! It took literally 15 minutes for someone to come help. There were also employees who stand near the cashier area at the self check out stand (btw there were 3 of them standing there ) who just tell ppl where to line up and just stood there looking right at us ?!?! And there would be other cashiers actually walking out from there station just to look who's pressing the help button?!?! But not walking up to help. That's so dumb and lazy! Again!! Doesn't matter what the employee is assigned to do at work on jobs like this ! Your job is to tend to the customers no matter what. If your employees are lazy then don't lock your items up or get a new haul of better employees. But yeah this target is the better looking target in the area but employees need to be better! read more

Dear Target Management, I am writing to report a disturbing incident I witnessed today involving inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by a staff member named Kevin, directed toward an elderly employee named Zhong. While in the store, I observed Zhong exiting the front storage area with Kevin following closely behind him. Kevin was loudly yelling at Zhong, using offensive language, telling him to "hurry up," to "fucking move," and that he was "too slow" and needed to be in the front. The aggressive tone and language directed at an elderly employee were extremely inappropriate and upsetting. Concerned by what I saw, I approached Kevin to ask why he was treating Zhong in such a disrespectful manner and to ask who the manager was. Kevin responded by yelling at me to step away and claimed that he was the store manager. He then proceeded to call security in an attempt to have me removed from the store. I later spoke with Onsite Manager Cat, who was apologetic and assured me that she would address the matter with Kevin directly. I also noted that Zhong appeared visibly uncomfortable and even urged us not to report the incident, which was deeply concerning and suggested he may be fearful of retaliation. It is unacceptable for any employee--especially one of advanced age--to be subjected to verbal abuse and public humiliation in the workplace. I strongly urge Target to investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate corrective action regarding Kevin's behavior. Thank you for your attention to this matter. read more

Got here when there was no line for pick up, about 3 mins ago. No acknowledgment from the first 3 people at the counter and walking in and out of the backroom. Many move like zombies...now the line is 5 deep. It is 2 31 pm and before the rush. Usually go to bayfair which is consider more rough, but service is always faster and friendlier. Thank you for Krystal (who saw things at a standstill, checked on all the customers, got things moving and was very apologetic and kind. She's the reason I gave the stars. I was going to give one star but I was in and out rather quickly once Krystal got the ball got rolling. read more

Hello fellow Target Customers from the Hayward Ca, Bay Area. I came on this website to share a most pleasant story with the public. I am not the owner of this account, I just happened to realize that the previous user of this school issued laptop did not sign out of their Yelp account. While I do not claim this profile, I will only use it once to share my most recent trip to Target. Here's the story... Picture this. A warm, sunny day in the small town of Hayward California. A Thursday i might add. I was feeling a bit sluggish and wanted a "pick-me-up" and decided that I would stop by Jamba Juice for a large mango-a-go-go. (Sorry if i spelt it incorrectly) As i traveled the mean and green streets known as Hesperian, I noticed a large but extravagant building, colored in tan and red. It was Target. The household name that everyone knows about. I headed inside to be not only be amazed, but to be greeted by a worker named Kai. His handsome face, yellow safety vest, and his tall confident stance gave me many butterflies in my abdominal region. I asked him politely, will he show me the location of the Chia Seeds (I wanted to add them to my Jamba Juice) He grabbed my wrist and I can feel the extra moisturizing hand cream he recently applied. As he guided me swiftly through the aisles, we suddenly stopped. There it was. Chia seeds. they were placed according and organized on the end cap of the spice aisle. I grabbed my bag and stared into Kai's hazelnut colored eyes. He glares back and asks "anything else?" I fall to my knees and beg him to take me on a date, he got me acting like zenitsu from demon slayer in front of my real life nezuko. Kai stares and hesitates. My forehead sheds a single sweat drop. and he points at my arm. "check your sleeve" he said with confidence. I look at my right side forearm and notice, he had already given me his number. I look up to kiss but he was gone. gone like that. gone like the wind. I'll be texting him soon for our date at Jamba Juice but i wanted to let you guys know how awesome this store is. Target is my preferred store to get snacks, meds, small electronics. the lines are shorter, i can do express check out. the parking lot is Yuge. the aisles are wide. no worries about bumping into people. the stocking scheme at target is similar in all stores. signs are up to easily identify where to lock for certain products. easy for grab and go. read more

horrible staff at this target! my experience today was horrible im never going to this target ever again!

I ordered some items via the Target app to be picked up from this location. There were no other customers at the counter when I arrived and I was helped promptly. Unfortunately, when I arrived home, I realized the clothing set I had purchased was missing one of the three pieces (the bottoms, to be specific). I used the chat option on the Target website to talk to someone and they were really nice and helpful. I was offered a full refund or to be shipped a replacement. I was given a full refund and was told to keep or donate the faulty item. Not awesome that my order was missing a piece, but great that the situation was rectified fairly and quickly. I appreciated it and feel good that Target will help resolve issues in a timely manner with minimal inconvenience. read more

Car Collectibles are low stocked or a mess to search through and get what a customer is looking for. Do these stores wait to sell out what they have on the floor (that's if they sell it) then put out the new stuff for the Die cast or collectible figures. You'd think that this Target would have the same collectibles as the other Targets around the area. read more

I love this target!! They are the only target in the Bay Area to have Ulta makeup available for shopping in the store! They have some of the best brands available and a nice set up for showing what's new and available in stores. read more

I was here last night and I'm here right now and I'm extremely impressed on how fast the line is moving. I estimate that the average customer will not be in line more than 5 min. Stopped by this Target to just grab a few things as we were again in the area. This sounds like a lot of my reviews...."we were in the area..." Anyways, nothing stood out to me to rave about as most Targets are very similar to each other. I wouldn't go out of my way just to go to this Target unless they had something specifically in stock that I needed and absolutely must get. There's a fairly large parking lot, but oddly very packed. It's shared by other restaurants and stores. Other than that, nothing to add to other reviews but that it's just your standard Target! read more

This location stood out to me as having the friendliest staff that I have ever encountered at a Target. The planogram is nice and reminds me of another newish Target that I used to patronize near my old house. It was clean and well stocked. This will be the Target I'll go to in Hayward. read more

Today I went to shop for some personal items. Their LP followed me on every aisle. The aisle where I needed to get pads, the aisle for soap, the aisle for midol and the aisle for deodorant. Can I shop and bleed in peace?. SMH obviously not. read more

The remodel doesn't cover up how undermanned they are and poorly managed. If it isn't the long line with no checkers and team members In the aisle pretending to be busy or members having conversations with each other while the line piles up ahead of them. To make matters worst, the app doesn't reflect that this location doesn't have a drive up pick up any longer so you head there and then have to walk in only to wait over 10 mins to get your order pickup to never receive it. I just left and tried to pick it up myself only for the inventory on the app to be incorrect and lines long. Waste of 45 mins with my 2 year old daughter read more

This target has long lines for both regular checkout and for their self checkout lines. This target is also the closest to my girlfriend's house to conveniently buy the things we need to make our lunch for today. There is a lot of parking around the target but there isn't a lot of spaces at the front. All in all, this place is pretty good. read more

Extremely surprised in a good way with the customer service that I received in the returns department with Cat yesterday. I purchased 3 different wrist/hand support braces to compare at home because I didn't have time to read more about which would be better suited for my needs. To my dismay I found out one of the boxes was empty when I got home. I went back to the store the next day and was helped by Cat in Guest Services! I explained the situation and was assisted very cordially and no questions asked about the situation with money refunded back to me immediately. read more
