No alcohol here but great customer service, shelves are well stocked and prices are decent. First time I noticed there is no alcohol in this joint. Ugh. And sure enough a young energetic person in a red shirt led her right to where she needed to go. Shelves are well stocked. I was just at Dublin Target yesterday with the express purpose of buying lots of distilled water for my Chirs Fix Super Coolant Flush. Chris, this Youtube sensation superstar, recommends this kind of water and I was heartbroken when the shelves in Dublin were totally empty. Glad to see lots here today. Prices seem decent on most necessities. There are lots of more expensive items I suppose that are impulse items for people to pad the bottom line. I find this to be an admirable business model. The remodel doesn't cover up how undermanned they are and poorly managed. If it isn't the long line with no checkers and team members In the aisle pretending to be busy or members having conversations with each other while the line piles up ahead of them. To make matters worst, the app doesn't reflect that this location doesn't have a drive up pick up any longer so you head there and then have to walk in only to wait over 10 mins to get your order pickup to never receive it. It seems Target engages in false representation of in stock items. I was wanting to purchase the iPhone SE 2020 for Total Wireless and the site said they had limited stock. But when I got there they said it was not in stock. I even had the phone out at the time and they saw limited stock as well. I asked for a manager to explain too me but spoke to someone who said they were the manager for the electronics department. Had a similar incident too with the NES Classic which was represented online as in stock at the store, still was when I got there and looked on the app but was not in stock. Ended up going to Walmart and got a great deal on an iPhone XR, a little bit more than I wanted to pay but at least the lady at Walmart made a big effort to find the phone I wanted first but suggested an alternative. read more

I do not know why I go to a Brink and Mortar Store during Black Friday. At Target the sales madness continued on Saturday. Well I come against my better judgment to save a few $$. Ok, they did have some good discounts. The store was pretty organized and did not look like a Tornado had hit it. I appreciated the help I received from a Cashier named Regina. I had a pricing issue which she took care of swiftly. I just wish all the Target Stores were laid out the same. I cannot believe this store. What a shame. This used to be my favorite store to go to and shop but now I avoid it and I go elsewhere today. I went to return a mama Roo I bought for my daughter unfortunately she does not like it so I needed that return I was told they can only give me store credit and I asked is that the only thing it's showing you store credit and she said yes so now, I packed my things went to another target on Whipple and was told that they can't give me cash back. Beware. ORDER PICKUP (DriveUp) is a nightmare. Several weeks there were signs to come in, they were not bringing out though this was an option. I called to confirm, DriveUp was back before placing order. Been here 20 minutes and counting. Not even half the stalls are filled. Two people (male, female) bringing out 1 order at a time. And they seem tethered to each other. When done instead of going back in the other waits for the other one . And seems now 1 went on break cause only 1 coming out with 1 order at a time Recommend driving to Whipple location from now on Customer Service here is HORRIBLE 1 star cause 0 stars wasn't an option. read more

Had the items I needed. Was able to order online and choose pickup to get the order. The pickup was free and fast. I didn't have to wait long at all. I told them when I got there I was on my way and arrived saying I was here, through the app they let me know the order was on its way, before I knew it there was a checker waiting to put my things in the car; even where I would like them. I live in San Lorenzo so that means the closest Target stores is either Bayfair or Hesperian and I much prefer the Hesperian location. The Bayfair one is a little ghetto. There's trash all over the place, parking is limited, and there's always teenagers hanging out that are up to no good. The Hesperian location does not sell alcohol because there's a park nearby and they don't want to attract that type of attention. I personally think that's great. Besides, if I want to buy alcohol I would just go to Costco for a better deal anyway. I also prefer target over walmart because the lines are shorter, the store has a better layout, and it doesn't have all the crazy people. Lastly, the employees seem to be way more friendly and knowledgeable compared to walmart. read more

The bathrooms were still exceptionally disgusting. Nothing had been cleaned. I then saw her chatting leisurely with another employee. This review is for the online order process thing. In the past few days I made two orders from the Target app to pick up in store to maximize my savings utilizing the cartwheel discounts. I picked up my first order at Target Hayward on my way to lunch. I picked up my second order a day or two later on my way to something else I can't recall. Ordering: The process of of ordering something and having the cartwheel discounts was super easy. No complaints. Pay with your Target card and you'll get an additional 5% on top. Who does not like saving money!? The app will send you a notification when the order is ready (pretty fast). The notification will include a bar code to show the employee upon pick up. Little note, you can add a different person to pick up your order on the app if you get tied up. The person picking up will need to produce an ID. Pick up: This review is for both stores since I have the same poor experience. You pick up your order at Guest Services which is the area right next to the front entrance. They have separate lines for online orders so you don't have to wait in that LONG return line. Here is my biggest issue, there is little to no line so no one staffs that table. You actually stand around and wait. If you talk to the cashier working the return line, they can't help you because they're processing returns. You will get evil looks from the return folks and the only thing they will do is radio someone. It took some time for an employee to arrive (both times). Once they got there, everything was simple. Scanned my app, showed my ID, got my order, and I was off. The process is great. The only issue is no one staffs that desk. I technically could have saved time if I went through the store and got my items from the shelves and paid at self checkout. That's my two cents. read more

Today I placed a order for drive up and when I received my items the guy giving me my order gave me my dishsoap open and spilled in my bag all over my other items. I told him I didn't want that and asked if he can take it back. He rudely grabbed the bag and didn't say anything. I asked another worker if he knew if the guy was bringing my stuff back and the worker caught attitude saying yes he was going to give me new items. The guy came back with my order and thru it on my seat. Even after that I said thank you twice, he didn't even acknowledge me. Ignored me and walked away. All this while sitting and waiting for my order for over 15 minutes with my two screaming toddlers and newborn in the back seat. Rudest situation I ever experienced at at any store. It's a shame. This place has been a saving grace since the quarantine started. It is a place you can get everything you want. It reminds me of back in the old West when they had general stores? With clothes and food and everything you needed for life? That is our Target. And this Target is the best one I have ever been in, with super nice and helpful employees. I know that in some Targets it is hard to get service but not in ours and all employees greet you as you walk past. Not only can you grocery shop here, but if you need clothes or toiletries, this place has you covered. They have a sign out front that tells you what they are out of so if you are looking for something in particular (like Clorox wipes) you don't even need to go inside. Since you can't go shopping like we used to anymore, Target feels more like an occasion than an errand. read more

This Target USED to be good. I had a horrible experience with a drive up pick up. I placed an order, was notified it was ready. Pull up, notify them of arrival nothing. After over 20 minutes I go inside. The line at customer service is long and there is no one to help. I am told to go back in my car and wait. Another 20 min go by, nothing. I go back in, and there's other customers for drive up w the same situation. The employees barely even want to speak to you. Just a mess. This is frustrating and inconvenient and defeats the purpose of "drive up" I could of just gone in, grabbed the items myself and been in and out. This review is for order pick up only. If you can, AVOID this location for drive up order pick ups at all costs. They are soooooo slow for drive up. I literally waited 45+ min for my order and it never came. I ended up leaving and coming back 2 days later at a later time in the evening and AGAIN they are took forever to bring out my drive up order. They literally have 1 person doing drive up orders and 15 cars waiting to pick up. I don't fault the workers at all and actually felt bad for the 1 employee doing drive up orders. I went here to buy some undershirts because I ran out on my business trip. I'd wash more, but it wasn't enough for a load and I needed some new ones anyway. So like most Targets there is a lot of busy-ness so I needed help finding the underclothes department. They never answer the phone it rings till you get disconnected. I worked there prior and the team lead I worked under was not good with communication she talked to you as if you were a child and i was actually older than her she was beyond rude Reported it and nothing happened. HR is a joke try and call to speak to someone and she's never there nor courteous about matters needing to be addressed. Target on Hesperian and A street has gone down hill big time. The lines are ridiculous, usually has only 2 cashiers and if your lucky 3 cashiers which is rare. The shelves are empty and they hv expired food items. The manager, shes walking around like shes busy but shes just moving carts, no help whatsoever!! Although this is my 7th review for this location (haha), I haven't reviewed it in over 2 years. I pretty much go here every Saturday. In general, the lines have been worse lately (I'm just referring to congestion- most of the time, I'm in line for only about 5 minutes). More team members need to be around. In addition, one of them is agonizingly slow (she's actually too nice- seriously, STFU and pick up the pace). I now avoid another one too. I haven't really been happy with the selection of beef jerky here in over a year. The products at the other Hayward location are better overall. For some reason, Earth's Best baby food is no longer sold here (I don't really mind, though, that my wife buys less baby food now- I give our son Joshua plenty of booze and snacks). Pizza Hut Express: I rarely decide to post a review so that I can complain (to some degree, everything else I mention here is just filler), but I can't stand one of the team members (I groan to myself whenever I see her). She's somewhat quick, but a real sourpuss (it's clear that she hates her job, and maybe her life). I'm sorry, but she should be fired or placed somewhere else. She's such a downer (I like the other team members who run the kiosk much more). The items recently went up in price (the prices below include tax): Popcorn: $1.73. Pizza (Cheese or Pepperoni): $4.89. Hot Dog Combo: $3.80. The pizzas here are good, but somewhat greasy. I like some of the drinks that are sold (most of them are about $1). My wife received some weak popcorn on the 3rd, but it was bought around 9 (the kiosks close at 9). Her popcorn from Saturday was better. For some reason, there were almost no napkins on Saturday. The man sitting near me and my family didn't have anything. He just sat there looking like a blues singer patiently waiting for his next gig. The Starbucks Kiosk: My wife almost always receives great service (the team member on Saturday was friendly, but she needed help- there are usually 2 team members around). A few months ago, she waited for over 15 minutes, only to be told that her drink wasn't available (she settled for another one instead). There have been no other incidents, though. My wife likes the selection of sunglasses here. She also buys clothes for Joshua on a regular basis. A hot girl was pushing her boyfriend around in a cart on Saturday (the guy only got out of the cart when they were paying- actually, it didn't look like he paid for anything). Anyway, we went to the Guest Service desk, but nothing could be done (the bag we left couldn't be found). We were only annoyed that we had to repeat ourselves (yes, we left the bag in the parking lot "yesterday"). My wife and I were delayed recently when one of the kiosks couldn't read our CD (when we returned, the other one read it just fine). On the plus side, the prices are reasonable and the prints come out nice. A month ago, my wife and I also received one for free when there was an issue. 5 police officers were around on Saturday. The one in charge talked with 2 men for at least 20 minutes (the officer did most of the talking). I think the men were asking shoppers to sign a petition. Anyway, the scene was peaceful. A homeless man has started to appear in front of the store (my wife gave him some change on the 3rd). A lot of shoppers here get on my nerves (my wife and I make fun of the ones who enter through the exit), but I still like this location just fine (I'm really just lowering the rating because it wouldn't feel right giving 4 stars again after all the negative things I've mentioned). I really, really love walking up to a cashier - who is so engrossed in a conversation with another cashier that apparently has no intention of opening up a register and making herself useful - that not one hello, one word of greeting, is passed between her and myself, no eye contact ever made, and the transaction done so quickly that I don't even get the consideration of being told the total. All done while never missing a beat in her all-important conversation about the other cashier's need to move into a bigger place. I'm lucky I got a half-assed thank you, I guess. Omg! This is just a beginning to my horrible night at this location. I has seen a add this weekend for a TV Westinghouse for 399.99 I ran to the store after work because of this deal. This is why they get one star...well maybe two by the end of the story As I walk in I go straight to the back, to electronics, I am waiting for about 10 minutes but didn't see any workers around to help me. Well I didn't need help I knew what I wanted. I NEEDED assistance. So as I am walking to the Electronics customer service in the back I see a Target worker (Brian). I let him know what I am interested in the TV for sale. He gets his scanner and scans the tv and tells me there is no more in stock in the store....well OK...i'm thinking to myself (next he is going to tell me what Target store does have the TV in stock. But sadly he doesn't. He just stares at me and respects himself. "So, are you going to tell me what store does hold the tv", I ask Brian. He states, "Oh, well Bayfair has 3 and Whipple has 2". Well that's nice, but how do I know that when I drive to those stores there not going to tell me the same thing that you told me. So I wait for him to say anything that is helpful like "Let me see If I can call another store for you or put one on hold" HE DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT!! I've been clutching the raincheck for my throw cushions for week's now, hoping Fremont/Newark would get more shipment. I bucked up tonight and called the closest store printed on the raincheck and found HAYWARD. 15 minute drive? Worth it? TOTALLY. This location is in a totally sketchy area, but urban sprawl has definitely reached this sector of the city. I found a boatload of stuff that were soldout at the Mtn View and Tri-City locations. Seriously, just a city next door and people have totally different needs, wants & tastes. Awesome for me. There's even a Starbucks. Oh and the employees are super sweet: one offered me a cart she was using, another SMILED and made warm conversation. I love happy, helpful, competant workers. I swear, I should write a memoir of my Target experiences here at this location. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried READ THIS! ****I go into the store last Sunday afternoon (Oct 16th). The manager who I see all the time (see my review on 03/20/2011, as it was the same manager) just so happens to be a customer in the store this day. I later find out her name is Sheroe (spelling is probably wrong). Anyhow, she's standing in front of the exit area holding her Target bag, and LOUD talking with two other employees for everyone to hear. She bragging about how she and her husband went out and drank a bunch of wine and had sex, and then she shouts "Hell YEAH!". Her co-workers were laughing and acting just as excited about it as she was. I was embarrassed just listening to her.
