My first impression when I walked in was that most of the inventory was priced higher than $1, yet this is not advertised anywhere outside the store. This can be very misleading to customers. When I was checking out, I decided I no longer wanted one of the items. The cashier immediately told me I had to purchase it because she had already scanned it. She insisted three times that I had to buy it. She then paged the store manager and made a joke about me in Spanish, which was extremely unprofessional. Instead of correcting the cashier's behavior, the manager laughed along with her. This experience was disrespectful and unprofessional. I am requesting that this issue be addressed and that the staff receive proper training on customer service and professionalism. read more

A clean location and it has a lot more of a selection than my closer Dollar Tree. They had crafts, a huge holiday selection and helpful CSRs. I was looking for a holiday stamp for my Xmas cards but they didn't have the stamps, only the red ink pad. I picked up a gallon of Crystal Geyser and a makeup vanishing towel, both for $1.25 each. First thing I noticed when walking into the store, it was quiet, it was clean and it was fully stocked. I have gone to a few dollar tree's but this one is outstanding. The employee stocking was super friendly as well and let me know that they got new stock on an item that has been sold out. I highly recommend this store. How can you complain about so many items to choose from for only a dollar? Well, I have been shopping here since day one and have come across some really amazing finds. But his last visit was amazing. So many wonderful craft items to choose, for only a dollar. There was an entire wall in the main walkway. I was like a kid in a candy store. I have yet to try any of the goodies, but for a dollar, if you only get a few uses out of it, then it was a great deal. I picked up three of each so that I can share with my other crafty friends. Some of the old management is gone and the cashier that waited on me was friendly. In the past, the other cashiers have been anything but friendly. They are closing the store down ahead of closing time per the online hours. The manager literally yells at customers over the intercom that they are closed and to check out immediately. Her announcements were so intense that it stressed my kids out thinking we were doing something wrong. I explained to her that they aren't closed yet per online hours and she said they want to get out early. We also witnessed them turning people away at the door. That is costing this owner $$ and I'm sure he or she would like to know their employees are turning away sales. read more

I have to give a shout out to Marlene; she's probably one of the nicest Dollar Tree employees I've ever met! There have been many times where I've encountered workers that obviously would rather be else where (mostly at the Union City location) but Marlene takes the time to talk to customers without a clipped tone and seems very considerate. This Dollar Tree has a wide selection of floral decor, probably because of Spring and Easter approaching. Way cheaper than Michael's. They also sell glass gemstones to put in aquariums or at the bottom of vases. I was surprised to see floral foam and styrofoam! That stuff is normally expensive. Planning a party? Kid's birthday party? Stop by here before resorting to Party City. $30 will go a long way. Stop by during the holiday season for easy gift wrapping. Can't forget about the $1 Mylar balloons valued at $4. Might as well buy aluminum pans for catering. The only items I wouldn't buy from here is refrigerated/frozen food. Unhealthy stuff. The employees (particularly one of the female employees there) need to polish up on their customer service skills, back talking to customers is not ok, especially if you've been patiently waiting and still get attitude "excuse me" thrown at you. You come out of your corner cubicle to walk back in and come out to a different register prior assisting customers waiting for a longer period (could've just jumped in on the register that had a prolonged line already.... smh ‍) while the other employee is assisting someone with balloons. Just like other reviews have stated, this Dollar Tree is spacious, tidy and the workers are all friendly. I came here to check out their seasonal items and they had a good amount of decorations and gift supplies. I grabbed some stuff for the house- which I had trouble finding at other Dollar Tree Stores and some candles to see their scent payoff. The organization here is amazing and it's so clean. It's a great place for mailing items, office supplies and household items. As for cosmetic items, they actually carry NYC and ELF items here which was interesting to see. The candles in the jar are pretty decent smelling for a dollar and sales tax is only 9% opposed to San Jose's which made me a bit happy. Definitely will be back :-) read more

Grandma just got paid so we're going to Dollar Tree. This is the new one that just opened off Mission Blvd that was previously a Walgreens next to Bank of America. It's pretty big compared to other Dollars trees, 2x that of the Dollar Tree on FootHill. Anyways, has the same stuff many other dollar trees have. Still clean and organized. Hope it stays this way. Can't beat a buck! We usually get our household basics from here; air freshener, seasonal holiday decorations, school supplies, dog toys, cleaning products. SO CHEAP! Our register lady, Furaha, was extra nice. She made sure we didn't scratch our reading glasses. read more

There is a helium shortage nationwide apparently. I came here hoping they could fill one balloon for me and pay for the helium. I was told they only prioritize balloons purchased through them. There is nothing better than a bargain deal! FINALLY a Dollar Tree located near my house! Way to go!! This Dollar Tree officially opened their doors on July 31st, 2015. This was recently a Walgreen's and you can tell because they still have the drive thru still there. Now if only they would have kept that and made a drive thru dollar tree, now THAT would be legit, Right? HAHA The store is huge and everything is well organized. They sale tons of things from: food, decorations for the house, pet food, and little simple things that you wouldn't think of buying. I love when a store is nicely stock, it makes a shopping addict like myself truly happy! If you're looking for birthday decorations better believe they sale that as well! I always buy my balloons here and they seem to have tons of different decorations. Tons of parking in the front so no need to worry about that! I used to love this location but the Hispanic female manager needs to get checked. She followed me outside of the store after a disagreement over BALLOONS. The worst problem is they have bodies clocked in but they're all just sitting around bsing their time away. No one knows anything about anything. I waited 15-20 minutes in line just to be told I'd have to wait for them to knock out the line THEY WERE DUMB ENOUGH TO GET THAT LONG. After 15 -20 I wasn't willing to wait as every other person white/male was being helped with their balloons immediately when the so called manager stepped in. Instead of trying to resolve the problem she told me I could call corporate a little embarrassing that a manger can't take it upon herself to resolve issues if you ask me. After that she started to walk away so I was like is anyone going to give me the balloons or not. She said no. Didnt even bother to ask if I'd been charged for them or not. Mind you this lady was literally just walking around.! I got frustrated and started going back and forth with this lady before walking out. Love just shopping here...they have everything you need on a quick trip even some frozen food! Ya gotta love a dollar store! It's amazing how some identical things that I buy at Target or Safeway for $3-10 can be bought here for a buck. So I loaded up the cart. But then the cart refuses to go past the exit in order for me to load up my car. I was prepared to go back and forth from the store exit to my car (and I never park close... Fitbit!). But I felt awkward about leaving the remaining goods there while making the first trip. Then a kind stranger offered to help me, so we were able to do it in one trip. They have a problem keeping cashiers at this store. They've improved the quantity of their shopping carts. It is still ridiculous you can't take the cart out of the store, older people would have difficulty taking their items to their car if parked away. This store has a decent variety of items. I mentioned it this morning, Monday, 7/8/19 to the manager on duty and she said that the "owners" don't care anymore, so why should they (the employees on duty). I found her response appalling. Actual Rating: 3.5 Stars My wife and I went here on Saturday night. With tax, our 11 items came out to $11.96. Wife: "How much is it?" Me: "A dollar." My wife was asking about a baby shower banner, and she didn't notice me give her a look. Duh, everything here is a dollar (oh my- I was just informed that I'll be sleeping outside tonight). The cashiers are easy to spot, but it may be hard to tell who the other employees are. The cute girl who was stocking items wasn't in a uniform. The girl had music playing from her hip (I checked, and I think it was coming from an iPod), and she sang along to a Spanish song (I smiled when I first noticed). She was perfectly in sync and might do well on "La Academia" or "Latin American Idol." Still, the music was quite loud (it was after 7 and the store wasn't busy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the girl did this at other times too). The cashier was friendly, but not much better. She rang up our purchases somewhat quickly (I was antsy because this creepy guy was roaming around), but she suddenly got a call from her "mamá." It only took her a second to answer her phone (it was like it was strapped to her ear), and she was loudly talking to her mom while we were walking out. It was pretty unprofessional. A minute prior, an Indian man asked if there was a bigger version of the gift bag that he was holding. The cashier politely told him that there wasn't (the man must be "new"- most people know how limited dollar stores are). The store is huge and fairly clean. Some areas are a bit cluttered, but the aisles are wide and nicely organized overall. I had fun walking around the store (a lot of items, including trading cards, are sold here). There are over 30 mylar balloons to choose from, and a number of them are blown up already. The greeting card section is impressive. There's even a good selection of thank you cards. There's a solid selection of drinks and snacks. We went here at my mom's suggestion. A lot of party supplies are sold here, and some of them look like they should be more than a dollar (my wife's question wasn't really that bad). If you wanna go to a nice and tidy dollar store, this one is the place to go. Even though its the holiday season, its very easy to find what you need bc its so organized. I bought wrapping paper, present boxes, tissue paper, present bags and other necessities for gift wrapping. Lulz. If you need little things like coffee mugs, hangers, silverware and etc this is the perfect place to get them. If you're even craving a snack like chips, salsa, and sweets, its there! Love this location in particular. I get the soup/cereal bowls I use for to plant my propagating baby succulents. The other stores are usually out of stock but this one is always fully stocked. And doesn't get crowded so I'm in and out pretty fast. read more

I give this one a little better of a score. Not as messy as most the DT I have been to but they also get a few less people then the more heavily traffic stores. They did have marbles when I needed some. I often lose my marbles and need to get more. read more
