New and Exciting Craft Goodies
Wendy K.

How can you complain about so many items to choose from for only a dollar? Well, I have been shopping here since day one and have come across some really amazing finds. But his last visit was amazing. So many wonderful craft items to choose, for only a dollar. There was an entire wall in the main walkway. I was like a kid in a candy store. I have yet to try any of the goodies, but for a dollar, if you only get a few uses out of it, then it was a great deal. I picked up three of each so that I can share with my other crafty friends. Some of the old management is gone and the cashier that waited on me was friendly. In the past, the other cashiers have been anything but friendly. Here's What I Think...If you're a crafter, go check this Dollar Tree out or find the one in your neighborhood.

I have to give a shout out to Marlene; she's probably one of the nicest Dollar Tree employees I've ever met! There have been many times where I've encountered workers that obviously would rather be else where (mostly at the Union City location) but Marlene takes the time to talk to customers without a clipped tone and seems very considerate. This Dollar Tree has a wide selection of floral decor, probably because of Spring and Easter approaching. Way cheaper than Michael's. They also sell glass gemstones to put in aquariums or at the bottom of vases. I was surprised to see floral foam and styrofoam! That stuff is normally expensive. Planning a party? Kid's birthday party? Stop by here before resorting to Party City. $30 will go a long way. Stop by during the holiday season for easy gift wrapping. Can't forget about the $1 Mylar balloons valued at $4. Might as well buy aluminum pans for catering. The only items I wouldn't buy from here is refrigerated/frozen food. Unhealthy stuff. Candy doesn't count.

Just like other reviews have stated, this Dollar Tree is spacious, tidy and the workers are all friendly. I came here to check out their seasonal items and they had a good amount of decorations and gift supplies. I grabbed some stuff for the house- which I had trouble finding at other Dollar Tree Stores and some candles to see their scent payoff. The organization here is amazing and it's so clean. It's a great place for mailing items, office supplies and household items. As for cosmetic items, they actually carry NYC and ELF items here which was interesting to see. The candles in the jar are pretty decent smelling for a dollar and sales tax is only 9% opposed to San Jose's which made me a bit happy. Definitely will be back :-)

I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting

Always grab a cart because there is so much good stuff. Or not-up to you. I like to peruse almost every aisle, looking at each item of clothing- I got a whole system down. Of course I'm paying attention to the color tag sale of the day, but if it's cute, it's going in the cart. The women's section is great but the men's section is good too. Their racks are packed full. They don't have fitting rooms but there are mirrors if you'd want to pull something over your clothes to try on. What's great is that they also have bathrooms. Very convenient especially when you're shopping a long time. The store also has kids clothes, shoes, small furniture, housewares, toys etc. Did I mention they have a lot of stuff? The store is clean, organized and the employees are friendly. Some items can be pricey, sure, but it's all about rummaging through to find those hidden gems and getting a good deal. I think it's fun. I truly love this place and always come back when I'm in town.

That's after you get over the initial shock at seeing how messy and unorganized the place is. After 5-10 mins, you get a sense of where things are and just start exploring the place. The staff are really nice and helpful. They want to make a sale to get merchandise out the door. The first time I came here was near closing time, and they asked me to come back. So I came back as a bargain hunter. I read the positive Yelp reviews, and decided to explore the place. I spotted a "14-Cup Cuisinart Programmable Coffee Maker," priced at $59. FYI, the price tag isn't the final price. The lady mgr made me an offer.....open box-$25, sealed box -$35. I asked for the sealed box. She said I can open the box and inspect it before I pay. We opened it together, and it was brand new. She said full refund if I return it within a week. Took it home, it works fine. If you have the time, come by and explore this place.
