Not bad for what it is. I stayed at a hotel across from this Target Store on Whipple Road. Coming here was a breeze. Not seeing a lot of people on Sunday afternoon. Not sure if this was normal. I was inconvenienced with trying on a shirt. I found the fitting room is actually a storage room. The actual fitting room is a little further towards the front. I bought a few clearance items from the men's section. The prices on price tags were more than I paid at the Houston store. But when I rang them up, the prices became the same. Except for the shocking 10.75% tax. I'll be back to get some more things during my Bay Area visit. I'll probably buy groceries to avoid paying tax. read more

It's been a while since my last review, so let's get to an update! Nothing much has changed here but now the self check out stands are 10 items or less which is nice that way, it's faster checkout. I do like that they have scanners there too so it's fast to scan items in the cart. Not sure if that's something new or it's been there and I'm clearly not paying attention. The layout of this Target feels a little different with home goods at the front left at the entrance. They do also have an Ulta area where there was an incessant beeping from a couple items that would drive me nuts. Poor girl who was working that area. The groceries area was spacious and cold! Goodness me, I was so cold. We were here today to take advantage of the 40% off 12 pack sodas. I only do their 40% off deal which comes once in a while which is nice as we can buy a variety of different drinks than stick to just one type of soda. Though today it seemed like they were down in a lot of items as many folks probably have taken advantage of this deal before Super Bowl Sunday. Parking here is kind of hit or miss. Luckily today we found a spot relatively close. It's a big loooong lot so it's just a matter of walking if needed. Overall, it's not a bad Target. It's conveniently located off of 880 and has a good variety of items including the Ulta, CVS and Starbucks. read more

What a difference from this store versus the one in Bayfair...as soon as I walked in , the clerk watching the self checkout greeted me a sincere smile...normally I don't usually care if anyone greets me but it was nice . I went over to the freezer section looking for Butterball turkeys and to my delight they had a assortment of different sizes. There was a cletk with their stocking cart in front of freezer but I was able to see from side. She saw me looking and said let me move my cart..I said no worries , I'm still able to pick one, but she moved her cart for me anyways...I chatted with her as I was picking my turkey and she was very nice unlike what I experienced at Bayfair the other day. She wish me a nice day as I to her and thanked her. Later I was looking for the aisle for gravy and asked a young man also stocking...he stop what he was doing and I don't think he understood me til I pointed to a display of turkey gravy, but I needed beef, he helped me looked for it, we found it and I thanked him...on the way to the register I passed the first clerk again and she said again have a nice day. I was happy I got everything I needed...what a difference.... read more

Target used to be my go to for last minute items like school supplies,toiletries, cleaning supplies and classroom gifts when I don't have enough time to wait for shipping to arrive. But I think through the years, their selection of clothes/homegoods have been so on-point with the trend, I end up buying more than basic school supplies and toiletries. Also they have such good customer service that is dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction it has become a no brainer to check target first for trendy no-brand clothes and furniture. Returns are also a breeze with or without receipts. Staff here has always been helpful and professional. It just makes shopping here pleasant! I remember purchasing dining chairs here over 7 years ago and it is still solid and standing up to daily use even with small kids. I purchased a stool from Marshall's a little over a year ago and the welded metal frame just ripped apart and broke! When I tried to return it, I was told that they only accept returns within 30 days! I tried to show the faulty welded metal joints, sadly they still do not guarantee their furniture quality over 30 days. Target guarantee their product quality like the frame wayyy more than 30 days. I believe if not satisfied 1 year and quality warranty is more. This is for the Hayward Target store on Whipple Road. Nice and clean inside. No problems with the store itself. The parking lot is dangerous. There are a lot of car break-ins and vehicles stolen. I love coming to this Starbucks! but I'm really frustrated that I'm not able to tip the baristas here. At a regular Starbucks, tipping is allowed and honestly, the team here deserves it just as much, if not more. Every time I visit, they're so friendly and kind. There's one barista in particular, a woman with ginger hair and glasses who's always incredibly sweet and helpful. She really goes out of her way to make the experience feel personal. It just feels unfair that customers can't show appreciation for great service the same way we can at other locations. I hope this is something that can be changed in the future, because they absolutely deserve it. read more

Today is the total worst day to shop at Target. I came here at May 22 2024 around 9ish pm I am not sure if cooperate would ever read this. I came here to get orange juices and another items. The sign says 2 for 5 for Tropicana Orange Juice, and when I checked out they charged me 7 for 2. The very rude manager name KIMBERLY did not want to listen but try to talk over me without listen to my concern. I feel offended by her words and overreaction. She said as a shopper I shall look at the tiny barcode and numbers whenever I purchased something. Really???? Then she called a supervisor who was also super rude and tried to kick me out because I told her to explain for her supervisor. She refused to do so and the supervisor insisted to call security to kick me out of the store and he said THIS IS MY STORE AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO KICK YOU OUT. However, when a security manager came, he came with an easygoing attitude, and tried to help me out. This is how Target treated customers when they have concerns. This is my go-to Target. I always have a good shopping experience because it's kept pretty clean and the shelves are usually well-stocked. I also come here to do store pick-up orders and returns and they know how to keep those customer service lines moving (unlike other nearby Targets). I use the CVS for my family's prescriptions and the workers are fast and friendly there too - just wish they worked the store hours but that's any Target. Also, they renovated in the last few years with a newer Starbucks (they don't have a Target snack bar) and updated bathrooms. My family and I mostly come here on weekends and one of the cashiers, Israel, is a highlight. He's always upbeat, greets us with a smile and engages in friendly conversation. He's also efficient and thorough while scanning items, ensuring that everything's handled with care. He's great at being a cashier but it's his cheerful personality that makes our day. When the checkout lines get too long, they'll sometimes have an employee help direct between self-checkout and the cashiers. I'm all for efficiency, cleanliness, organization, and helpful customer service. Everyone loves Target but they're not all the same. Kudos to the store managers and employees for recognizing and understanding how to provide a great customer experience. read more

This is my go-to Target location even if it isn't the closest. They have adopted COVID regulations where dots are on the ground to remind of social distancing. However, they aren't super consistent with sanitizing the self-checkouts when the line is long, especially on the weekends. Besides this, the staff is always super friendly even at their returns department. A+ for drive-up! I've stopped by on a busy Saturday afternoon expecting to wait upwards of 20 minutes, however a staff member dropped by with my items within 3 minutes of me indicating my arrival! I'd opt for this method when possible to avoid the crowds. Parking is always plentiful, you may just need to walk a bit. Remember to price match against target's website! Things are often cheaper online. Additionally, your red card's 5% discount works at their Starbucks. Love this target overall and it doesn't hurt that it's close to a bunch of other things! read more

I have come to this Target on several different occasions, mainly on Saturdays and the lack of open checkout lanes is ridiculous. This picture is from Saturday, March 25 around 4:30 PM. They only had two check out lanes open and the line goes all the way back to cosmetics. I really don't understand the lack of employees on a busy day such as Saturday. I had to turn around and leave because there's no way I would wait in that ridiculously long line. Do not shop here alone after 8pm, especially if you are a lady and shopping alone. This is the closest Target location to my home. I used to come here often but the past few times I've been here, I keep encountering weirdos and creepy people that scare me -- both inside the store and the parking lot. There should be a security guard in the entrance of the store but I've never seen one the times that I'm there. For example, many times loiters have asked me for spare change and I was followed to my car & cussed out for ignoring them. Another time these two stranger ladies kept asking me personal questions and were trying to convince me to learn about there religion even when I told them I'm not interested the first time. There are just as weird people at Walmart just down the road, but at least they have security guard patrolling the parking lot and sometimes a police vehicle stationed in the front to deter these kinds of things from happening. I surprisingly feel safer shopping there than at this Target! From now on I'll start going to Target in the Hub or Walmart which is less than 5 min away. read more

I purchased an extra warranty for my beard trimmer which says it will cover it for 2 years. So my trimmer won't hold a charge after 1.5 years of owning it so I figured I would just have to go back to Target with my receipt and they would give me a new one. Nope you have to call Allstate and file a warranty claim with them. So I called them and after being on hold for 15 minutes they told me that the manufacturers warranty is 5 years and that I had to call the manufacture and file a claim with them. I asked the advisor why did purchase the warranty if you're not going to cover and he had no response. So warning to anyone purchasing an extended warranty that they are no good and leave you running around with zero coverage and a waste of money and time. read more

Customer Service is everything. Rude Target employee who was outside the building waited until I got close enough, then decided to move carts in my path so I could not drive away. He was just chatting it up with a truck driver who wasn't actually unloading anything. By his waiting until I approached, he put me in an unsafe driving position. I had to back up into oncoming traffic (even though it was only one car). He should have blocked the road before a driver approached. read more

This Target went through a redo. Not sure why, but they revamped it and made it a lot nicer and it's honestly one of the nicer designed ones. I'm a big fan of Target and will always rather shop there over Wal-Mart. Staff are a bit more friendly and the store is a bit more organized. They pretty much have a lot of supplies for a lot cheaper. Again, they have a ton of stuff at pretty decent prices, or at least what counts as decent prices now. Don't buy gift cards here, got scammed out of an Apple gift card. Bought 6 during the holiday promo of buying a gift card and getting a Target gift card, and one ended up with $0 when I went to use them brand new and sealed at the Apple store. Called Apple support and they said it had money on it 4 months ago and then was used, returned, and voided...and should not have been put back on the shelves. Also suspect the cashier switched a bad GF for my good one without me noticing because I bought more than one at a time and there was already a bum card that could not be filled and she had us go grab another card. Called Target support who opened a case report said they'd have someone higher up call me back...that was 4 days ago and still waiting, smh. read more

Came in yesterday around 12:30 and there were only 2 cashiers open and self checkout (only 2 working out of 4) the cashier near the self checkout was running back and forth between ringing people up and helping the self checkout. Took about 15 minutes to check out and there was only one customer in front of us. The cashier gave no hellos, didn't ask if we needed a bag or tell us our total. I brought my aunt and cousin (visiting from out of the country) and once she was done ringing up my aunt she logged off of her register as my cousin was standing waiting to be rang up, when I told her that my cousin had been waiting this whole time and had one item, she told us to go to another register because her register was broken (umm what?!) I clearly seen it was working fine! So I said can you ring her up, she has one item and we have been waiting, she turned and gave the rudest look and huffed something underneath her breath, I said we aren't being difficult we have been waiting. So she logged back in and rang my cousin up. She was just really rude and that is not the service that you expect out of Target, like come on...I get if you are understaffed but don't be rude! read more

I'm a pretty big fan of Target I would say it's Wall marts less ghetto brother in law. Target is more of a go to spot then Walmart just due to how much nicer it is inside. The Target brands do not feel as cheap the store in cleaner and there is way less strange shoppers here. It's just all around better then Walmart most of the time. The only thing Wall mart beats it is in prices. But the quality of Target is way better. Lets see. There is always parking places and the carts are way cleaner stocked up in the front. They have more checkers then Walmart and tend to move faster IMO. They stock higher quality clothing items as well. Let me explain what I mean by that. What I really like is the Target brand I buy spandex tights I wear for all the ladies at yoga. The Walmart ones have always ripped out from my big booty. Nothing says classy then ripped spandex at the gym or in yoga class. My Target Spandex are Holding strong. They are keeping in my buns. When I'm doing my downward dog the ladies don't have to worry about anything hanging out and them having to zoom in 10x on there phone to notice anything. We are good to go due to Target clothing. It's better quality then Walmart and last longer. If you are up in the air to hit either Walmart or Target in Union City it's no brainier. Go to Target. The quality is way better. read more

We are at this Target and their Starbucks a couple times a week. The store itself is always very clean and there is rarely unfolded or off the hanger clothes. The Starbucks is very fast, and often willing to give my toddler a puppachino for free There are two reasons why this store is only getting four stars. First, the bathrooms. These bathrooms are never clean, they range from gross to hold it because there is not even one stall that is remotely clean. Second they often only have self check out available during the day. This means I am stuck trying to scan a million items while my toddler is in the baby carrier and the other in the cart. Although this is a minor inconvenience I really wish the employees would offer to help when they see a person with their hands full. read more

Nick in the Electronics department get the five star treatment along with Target on this one. 8:30 at night I decided to by my wife a new Apple Watch. Check the Target website (totally awesome) and found the watch I wanted at this store. All I can say is that Nick provided exceptional service. I worked with him for at least 10 or 15 minutes on the purchase because I started asking a bunch of questions about the multiple options available on the watch. In the end he brought out the Series 6, like the one I wanted, and I bought it. Thanks for working with me Nick. Gift cards scams issues. Bought 3 gifts cards there. One is target card, has $0 balance on it. The other two Visa cards can not be swiped on the machine. The card number supposed to be 16 digits number but it only has 15 digits on the card. The staff (supervisor) told me Target has no responsibilities for any gift cards sold to customers for any reasons. The only way to solve the problem is to call the gift cards companies. It took me a few days to get Target gift card replacement back. The other two are on investigation process. So please don't purchase the gift cards there just like the other reviewer experienced. They have these issues now, and they don't want even to take care of this matter. read more

Horrible. Every time I come to this target the line is alllll the way to the groceries. I'm in the middle of the line and I'm next to Ulta. Everyone else is all the way down the card aisle. It's worse than Black Friday. Don't come here SUNDAYS EVEN ORDER PICK UP TAKE 1.5 hrs.
