Tech in rear, games, puzzles in center

Five Below opens where Ulta Beauty was in the Fremont Hub. location is small compared to their supposed competitors: Daiso, Walmart, 99cents stores, Dollar Tree, Dollar General et al:. offerings are almost anything people would buy: office supplies, books, beauty and cosmetics supplies, party and seasonal supplies, (no ballons seen), "tech" accessories, games, toys, home supplies. candies, chips, snacks, jerkies are overwhelmingly American name brands. niche known labels/fads available from Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Latin America. the eats are in the junk food genre, not much healthy options here. more is available at Grocery Outlet. high quality is in the eyes of the beholder. i didn't see many. Doritos is a prime example. check out is self service only. many payment options, didn't see cash. cheerful associates on hand to oversee/navigate ur shopping experience. the 2 times here around lunch time, saw only a few people. at a cursory walk thru, didn't see much i would buy. some items in snack section wasn't priced. some had wrong price tags under the items. (frequent program at Grocery Outlet). plenty of parking nearby. wouldn't consider this a "discount" store. items look to be "market pricing". some drinks sell at price higher or equal to convenience store. eats: Goya dulce de leche wafers (1.25) -Mexican food brand, vanila wafers filled with sugar, artifical flavors, addictives, palm oil, etc. out of boredom, curiosity, i may repeat...

First time in here & overall it's tidier than dollar store or Ross. Most things are $5 or less. I was happy with cute plush pillow, $1 bday cards, cheap snacks, fidget toys & Valentine's Day stuff right now. There's some books, cosmetics, lots of candy & toys and art supplies. Overall some good stuff not quite 5 stars because there was one only poor woman handling like everything. Shout out to her for staying polite & helpful throughout.

Sample of cheaply made wall poster. There are many designs that are related to art, sports.

This store is located at the former Ulta Beauty at Fremont Hub. So I went here on the 2nd Saturday of January 2023 during the second storm around 5:45 pm to check this store out. This ranch is tiny compared to the one at Christy Street in Pacific Commons and the Livermore stores. There are items priced at $5 and others that are below. A few items are priced at $12 like the LED HEADPHONES. They specialize on toys, puzzles, board games, wall posters, beauty and cosmetics, interior design and organization things, tech accessories, fitness, party and decorations for birthdays and special occasions all sorts of American and Japanese candies, chocolates, chips, healthy snacks, jerkies, and bottled beverages. This store segment competes with Daiso, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General. They have more high-quality items here in such a small space. When you pay for your chosen goods, you pay with credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, or Paypal. NO CASH on the premises. There are 2 attendants watching if you need help or assistance operating these self-checkout machines. Have your tote or reusable bag ready on the left-hand side of the register, then scan your items at the top section of scan me items. The sensors are located near you while you scan the items. This store is well thought out in terms of space, and the needs of a typical budget shopper. If you want to shop for gifts, bring board games for friends and family coming over this is the place. A great store selling higher quality products, if you are on a budget.

We found the infants area just fine because Target usually keep it around the same place. We found the baby food that we wanted and also other stuff too. Since we were here, we wanted to get snacks as well so we went down to the produce area. This Target is pretty big inside and there are employees throughout the store. They have four checkout station here but two were down. I paid with a cashier and then saw one of the sunscreen I got was expensive. So I went back to try and return it but no one was working the counter at customer service. I asked another worker who was doing the drive up delivery and he said someone would come soon. No one came so he was the one who refunded me.

This isn't the only thing I want to talk about. I heard that they're making big changes here. I saw that they closed their Starbucks as well as other sections from the store with white curtains or something. They moved some of the refrigerators to do the renovations I think. Also, some parts of the areas were quite empty. I wonder what the big changes are but I don't think much is really going to change anyways. I think they should start stocking up electronics and their accessories again, but I don't think that will happen. Target has really changed. Back then, there were many electronics. Now, it's nearly empty probably because most people shop online nowadays.

Two stars: one for the cute stuff and the fact that I know how to get here…read more This location seems to be getting worse and worse though every time I come here and is slowly becoming my least favorite location. I don't know why I still come here. Last time I bought something, went to self checkout, and found out the security alarm was still on when I got home, even after I thought someone removed everything. This wasn't the first time it happened at this location. To avoid coming here again, that time I went to a different location to have the alarm taken off and had no issue. I really don't see the point of self checkout at this location as others said. It provides no benefit here and is not that much faster, as you still have to go to another counter to get alarms, security tags and whatever the hell else removed. Plus they want proof of receipt/checking your items here. Today, I figured I'll give it another chance, but when I tried to pay with the cashier to try and avoid any mishaps, the lady says they don't have any bags. I was thinking like what the hell? You're a store, how can you not have bags? I told her I didn't want the item any longer and walked out. This was the last and final straw. Too bad, I'll have to stick with other locations. This location doesn't seem to care about helping customers or doing their job properly.

The employees lacked basic manners--no "excuse me," no acknowledgment, nothing. In the women's shoe section, one employee was aggressively sorting shoes, making the environment feel uncomfortable. What really bothered me was another employee who, instead of politely asking to pass, forcefully pushed my cart against me while I was standing in the aisle still all the way towards the end of the aisle. There was this couple who witnessed what happened. It felt intentional and very disrespectful. She was very aggressive and rude towards me for no reason. Overall, the staff came across as rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend coming here based on this experience.

It shares a huge lot with some popular eateries so it may be challenging to get a spot but if you're willing to walk a bit, check the backside of the mall and you may find some good shaded spots under some trees. This shop is huge and has plenty of new and old inventory ready to be sold at discounted prices. There's a lot to go through but if there's something specific, check out the section of the store that best fits that item. They have clothing, furniture, jewelry, electronics, bathroom essentials, kitchenware, as well as goodies for children and pets. I came here specifically in search of an espresso machine - I've been hoping to find something for a long time now. After perusing the other departments, I headed toward the registers and found what I was looking for! $150 off the list price was quite a bargain in my opinion and was exactly what I was looking for. The high end appliances and items seem to be locked up with magnetic anti-theft devices and this machine was no exception. Happy with my find, I headed through the snaking line toward the registers, which are abundant and managed by staff at the ready to complete the transaction. The staff were friendly, efficient, and not at all too pushy with selling their promotional store credit card which would have yielded more savings on this purchase. The transaction was quick and seamless. With the purchase also refundable, it made it just that much more reassuring to have shopped here. Overall, HomeGoods/TJ Maxx is quite a staple as a bargain store for many communities and this one is no different. The items for purchase is abundant, in good quality, and unique for those looking for some additional accent to add to their living space. Most of the staff are found near the registers with a few occasionally walking through the corridors to restock or organize a bit. It's comfortable shopping here with well ventilated air and sectioned off departments for more intentional buying. They also have a bathroom for patrons to use. For those also looking for home appliances like me, this is a great place to start - one of the few reasons to still shop at brick and mortar shops!
