I come back to purchase 2 sonny angels, went home, opened them up with my niece and we immediately knew something was off. The packaging was completely off and the figurines had sloppy paint jobs with no stamp on their bottom feet. I tried to kindly message the owner that they're selling counterfeits and I'd be willing to do a partial refund, not even a full refund, which is more than fair imo and he wouldn't budge and that the best he could do was store credit...why would I want to buy anything else in your store if you're selling fakes for full retail price of legit products that seems so dishonest. It was fun and I had to admit this takes a lot of patience/skills! I also love how this is a small shop that services community of people with same passion! The parking lot is huge and there's always parking spots available during non-peak hours throughout the day. This Daiso was one of the first and has been around for decades. Successful operations. Best of all, it's walkable distance to the bakery, grocery store, restaurants, and other stores in the same plaza. Staffs are very well trained and the store is super clean and organized as always. Aisles are walkable and easy to navigate. What I really like is they have lots of products here/wide range of new and old selections. You'll find some good value for the prices and quality here. Good shopping atmosphere. All positive. I purchased some smaller loose items along with a new non-ticking wall clock. Everything is still looking good and useful inside. Daiso always have what I want and most of the time, I end up grabbing additional items that weren't on my shopping list. Yes, very tempting shopping specifically at this Union City location. Good experience. I just wish that prices would come back down like the old Daiso days when they first opened in the San Francisco Bay Area. Overall, great place to shop. It's more unique than other Daiso locations in the region. It's even better than ones in Las Vegas region. Atmosphere - A huge location. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm; on Sundays from 10am to 9pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Self service.
