5 star independent and locally owned Lego store. My wife came years ago with my kids to make me a "#1 dad" display and I wanted to do the same for her especially when I remembered she was gone at the store for more than an hour. The best part for us was the "build it yourself section" where they have a loose pile of bulk lego as well as a wall with more organized sorting. You can build anything here and every part you use is 25 cents at the register. My kids favorite part was looking for all the figure parts to make a recreation of our family. All those minifigure parts are up front near the "Lego Movie" Wildstyle statue. Near the register is also all the minifigures, I loved looking through these and seeing all the cool old lego figures I grew up with. The middle of the store has a huge city display you can tell was put together passionately. They also have used and brand new sets for sale. I let my kids each pick something around $15 for helping build a present for their mother and it was hard for them to choose with so many options! The store was totally packed the entire time we were there but staff and owners were super kind and helpful in finding random bits for us and other customers. if you're into playing with legos or collecting legos, this is a must-go-to in the bay area. i went here with my sister in the afternoon and wow i've never had three hours pass by so quickly in my life. they have so many bricks there. i was able to literally start a custom-built airplane with all the types of pieces that they had in the store, in both their sorted as well as their bulk. they also have tons of pre-made sets already and they have sets that are sorted and they have sets in bags that maybe are incomplete as well at a lower price. i feel like the prices are generally very reasonable. i also got a cool little lightsaber piece for $1. that was cool. they make everything very reasonable in terms of price and very compelling to buy. i would consider it a landmark for any lego enthusiast and i will definitely be back. the staff are also very very helpful. if you need a specific piece, they're generally familiar enough with all the pieces they have to where they'll know whether or not they have a piece. there is also a team of them so there is always plenty of help and they are also very nice too. i was the last one in the store and they let me stay for a few more minutes after closing just to wrap up my lego project and pay read more

I called the store one day to ask if they took in opened boxed Legos for cash. The person on the other end said yes, to which I asked if there was anything else needed and they told me the instruction manual, if I had it, which I did. I asked one more question, which I believe was the most important one, is there anything I should do before I come in and they said no. Ultimately I took apart the Lego set, thinking it would be easier for them, plus no one I know would want a Lego set that's already put together. Where's the fun in that? Overnight I took apart the set and bagged everything according to the manuals. I think I did a pretty good job at doing all of that for them. The following day I went in and informed the person at the counter that I had called about trading in a Lego set for cash. I proceeded to show them the bags and manuals for the set. The guy behind the counter gave me a blank stare and looked at the bags and threw out a number. It wasn't a fair price, their reasoning behind it was the set was not put together, and how were they to know if it was the correct set and if all the parts were there. Furthermore, they stated that if I brought it in put together, the cash back would've been a little higher. Still not a fair price. He gave me the bags back and said I could go home put it back together and come back later. I just gave up. I sold it as is. In all honesty, I shouldn't have, but I lost my job prior to this interaction and I needed the money. Honestly, if you have Legos that you're trying to sell, just hold out and sell them on your own. This is the only spot I know they have the bricks organized in the pick a brick section. Technically they have loose and organized but still. Awesome if your looking for something specific and I was looking for just that. Thank you so much for this spot for having that separated and allowing a quicker easier ease of access. I was able to build a small hallway of the Disney Rise of the Resistance ride. Epic and memorable. This place is definitely staple for me. Pricing wise, I believe it's 0.25 a brick and 0.50 a long slab. Personally it would be cool if they charged a bulk price for a full cup, that's my only little gripe. But the people here are friendly and will help find anything they can that's within their means. read more

I would like to say my family has been going to this store for quite some time and it's like feeling in a childhood memory. The store is packed with Legos from 2015-26 and it's convenient when u need a Minifig or set and not to mention the old vintage sets as well. The workers are rather chill, they're really there just to help you find what you need and go on with their day. The prices on sum of the figures may be a little high but it's understandable when you figure out what the figure goes for and I'd say it's not as bad as other resellers. I can't say enough great things about this place! We had my son's birthday party there for 5 of his friends. It's clean and basically decorated so all I did was throw up a couple decorations and it was good to go! Friendly, knowledgeable, local and reasonably priced. Mike is a fellow AFOL who has extreme, genuine passion for Legos and you can immediately tell by having conversations with him. Super cool and friendly and very easy to talk to. The store inside is awesome! It is sensory overload for Lego fans as he has all kinds of lego themes from used to new, and even rare retired sets - something I really love especially since I'm a collector. You never know what rare set you may find. The prices are reasonable especially for a local store, and it's always awesome to support a local store. The store is small but it is organized. Behind the counter you will find used complete legos, mostly Star Wars themed. Inside the counter, a large collection of minifigures are on display. I was told that they were going to be renting out a smaller space adjacent to the main shop for birthday parties - EXCITING! A lego store run by a lego fan is awesome to see and have in the east bay. I came by looking for a specific lego piece, and the owner helped explain why that piece was hard to get. Stinks I couldn't find it, but I was very impressed by how inviting and knowledgeable he is. By far one of my favorite places to go to. I visited in search of a few pieces I needed to complete an older set I had, only to be absolutely thrilled with what I ran into. I was immediately greeted by Aya and Kenny who were very accommodating, genuinely passionate, helpful, and even offered my girlfriend some snacks while she waited as I walked circles around the store. Prices are very fair and the selection of sets (especially figures) were a thrill to look through. It was almost an overload as an avid fan on LEGO for years, and it was extremely refreshing to be around others who enjoyed it as much. Always perfect. This is one of my "Happy paces" and I'm not even the person I'm buying the legos for... but bringing my wife (of 30+/- years) joy, is my favorite part of life. This store is the best of its kind, and possibly the best retail/resale stores on the planet. There is always something here you absolutely can't live without or you "didn't know you needed it until you got here". The coolest part, is the owner, wants you to be able to buy it and prices it fairly so you can. This is not a collection of stuff someone bought, just to mark up and say "I can get way more for this, because it's rare, therefore I can charge what I want". Mike is a lover of Lego and is happy to meet others like him, that he can share experiences with. He treats people like new friends. I watched a customer come in and their child wanted to see the roller coaster set (displayed) go around. He didn't brush them off, ignore or refuse the request. He not only agreed but turned it on and watched it like it was his first time seeing it. He looked as happy as the kid did, and didn't turn it off until they both saw it go around several times. I don't even know if they bought anything, but it definitely wasn't a requirement. Sorry for going on and on, but like I said... this is one of my happy places. Mike is moving his store to a new location, and he is so excited. "It's so much bigger" he said, and you can see that he's already planning the displays and the wall stacked with LEGOS!!! If Lego is your passion and the local Target or Walmart only have the same "hot items" and LEGO has discontinued something you were saving up for, then this place is the obvious choice, and when you finally drag yourself to Mike's store... you too will see that, this is an amazing store, and a "mom and pop" brick and mortar attitude still exist...but your favorite uncle is now in charge! ...and he has the coolest stuff!!! read more

Came in to find parts to complete my Star Wars sets that had been missing pieces for years. Was totally blown away by the friendliness, cleanliness, and overall nice atmosphere of the shop. The owner of the shop was a live saver, had parts that I assumed I was going to pay an arm and a leg for online.
