Helped plan my cousin's sweet 16 party here a few weeks ago. I gotta say, I've dealt with a lot of banquet halls in the bay and Gemstone was easily the best to work with. From the very beginning, Habib and his team listened to what I wanted and delivered everything within our budget. The party itself ran very smoothly. We were allowed to bring in outside catering which is a big deal when you have to serve specific kinds of food. The ballroom was decorated very beautifully and I like how the space didn't feel cramped at all. I will definitely be using Gemstone again when I need event space! read more

Finally found a great event hall in Hayward! The other reviews are right, the customer service here is amazing! You walk in the door and the staff always greets you with a smile and a refreshment. They have three halls here and it can hold from anywhere to 50-750 people. The night of the event the service staff helped me get everything together and in the proper place. That saved me from so much stress and time! By 12AM, as we slowly walked out the door, they were super patient with us. I'm sure they were extremely exhausted by then, but they were still working with smiles on there faces. Beautiful venue and beautiful people! Definitely plan to do another event here soon. read more

First thing's first, the customer service at Gemstone Hall was amazing! I've been to other halls and they would have all these restrictions or charge extra for every little thing. Who knew you would be charged for cutting your own cake?! But at Gemstone Hall they don't nickel and dime you! That's what made me book with them, knowing that I didn't have to worry about what additional thing I'll be charged next. The venue is also centrally located for my needs, right off of I-880 and SR-92. Plenty of parking for my event which also made me feel comfortable knowing that people didn't have to spend 30 minutes looking for parking. Overall a great experience and great venue! read more

It is very close to the highway and ant is has a versatile setup. You can host a party at this location or you can have a large concert. It is also ideal for weddings. My family and I contacted many event venues before finding Gemstone Hall, and this is hands down the most affordable! If you're looking for a beautiful venue that is reasonably priced, I really recommend this one. Habib was very friendly and easy to talk to, made the process a lot easier. He was very patient with my questions about decorations, lighting, etc and willing to help us make our party better. Food selection is also really good, they have a variety of Indian food and conveniently have an Indian restaurant attached to the venue. I'll update again after our party! UPDATE: The room looked beautiful for our party. The up-lights and adjustable chandelier lights made the room look very fancy. I was most impressed with the food which was delicious and plentiful! Usually with catered Indian food, the workers skimp out on the meat and it usually ends up being trays of gravy by the end of the night. But it was quite the opposite, with lots of meat being replenished in a timely manner. Had a lot of friends tell me how good they thought they food was. Do not book your event at this place!! My family booked our event two months before our fathers 50th Birthday party paid the full amount for the day we reserved and less than 2 weeks before my fathers event they called us to tell us that they overbooked us and gave us 2 options one was to give us a refund or to change the date! Very unprofessional of them!! We already had all our planning food, music, and decorations even airplane tickets and hotel reservations for our family's that were coming. Wow, what a wonderful experience we had here! The event space is amazing and the new management and staff were fantastic. Joe was so professional, very easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Everybody was very caring and accommodating. If your looking for an event space to host your next party, wedding, reception, meeting or any other type of gathering this is the place to do it. Great space, best staff, and easy location. The process of reserving the space, to decorating and catering food was flawless, everything can be done in house stress free or whatever preferences you have. Wow...I just spoke with the owner Leo...he has awesome phone presence, and gave me what I needed as far as ball park price quotes for my various scenarios. If you call or email and get Habib, who won't give you a price over the phone, but you don't have time or interest to just come in on your own time unless you know it has financial possibilities for your event...go further up the chain to Leo...he knows how to run a business. I was very pleased with the info I received from him over the phone. I will most likely be making an appointment to come tour and possibly set up a regular relationship for ongoing rental of this beautiful place. I wrote YELP so I could talk to the owner...and I am glad I did. He will no doubt help Habib get this figured out with more training...don't hate me Habib!...I might someday be your best friend for my honesty at all times. Be like all successful people and learn from it...I could have said nothing then never returned...but part of growing older is to help the next generation...written by a 42 year veteran of being an entrepreneur....! Couldn't wait to get home to write this review ! We used Gemstone for a bridal shower tonight and it exceeded our expectations . Habib answered all the question we had from pricing to colors to equipment ( even though we were completely annoying constantly texting him ) but he is so professional and a incredibly kind . We wanted an all female staff and he was glad to accommodate us without hesitation. The entire staff at Gemstone is very professional and make you feel right at home , I wish I would have got all their names to send thanks ,even our servers were so very sweet. I had never heard of Gemstone Hall until last month but it was the first place and last place we looked before booking, and it's so affordable it almost seems to good to be true. My family just had a party here Friday night. The venue was beautiful and the food sooo good! Habib was really nice.

I was around town (Hayward) looking for a hall for a big party that would accommodate about 80 to 100 people and I was pleased to have found this location called Gemstone Hall. The service was great !!! The bartender that was servicing was very helper as she spoke our language and was able to serve all our guest. Every one loved the event and asked about how to rent it. The people who work here were very helpful as our guest enjoyed the eventing. If you are every looking to host an event as small as 50 or as large as 700 people this is the place to come. They set the tables for you and the best part of it all they take care of the clearing for you!!!!! If I had to grade them the grace would not be on the scale because it exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to another event at Gemstone Hall in about two year or when I turned 50 !!!!! read more
