    New and Exciting Craft Goodies
    Wendy K.

How can you complain about so many items to choose from for only a dollar? Well, I have been shopping here since day one and have come across some really amazing finds. But his last visit was amazing. So many wonderful craft items to choose, for only a dollar. There was an entire wall in the main walkway. I was like a kid in a candy store. I have yet to try any of the goodies, but for a dollar, if you only get a few uses out of it, then it was a great deal. I picked up three of each so that I can share with my other crafty friends. Some of the old management is gone and the cashier that waited on me was friendly. In the past, the other cashiers have been anything but friendly. Here's What I Think...If you're a crafter, go check this Dollar Tree out or find the one in your neighborhood.

I have to give a shout out to Marlene; she's probably one of the nicest Dollar Tree employees I've ever met! There have been many times where I've encountered workers that obviously would rather be else where (mostly at the Union City location) but Marlene takes the time to talk to customers without a clipped tone and seems very considerate. This Dollar Tree has a wide selection of floral decor, probably because of Spring and Easter approaching. Way cheaper than Michael's. They also sell glass gemstones to put in aquariums or at the bottom of vases. I was surprised to see floral foam and styrofoam! That stuff is normally expensive. Planning a party? Kid's birthday party? Stop by here before resorting to Party City. $30 will go a long way. Stop by during the holiday season for easy gift wrapping. Can't forget about the $1 Mylar balloons valued at $4. Might as well buy aluminum pans for catering. The only items I wouldn't buy from here is refrigerated/frozen food. Unhealthy stuff. Candy doesn't count.

Just like other reviews have stated, this Dollar Tree is spacious, tidy and the workers are all friendly. I came here to check out their seasonal items and they had a good amount of decorations and gift supplies. I grabbed some stuff for the house- which I had trouble finding at other Dollar Tree Stores and some candles to see their scent payoff. The organization here is amazing and it's so clean. It's a great place for mailing items, office supplies and household items. As for cosmetic items, they actually carry NYC and ELF items here which was interesting to see. The candles in the jar are pretty decent smelling for a dollar and sales tax is only 9% opposed to San Jose's which made me a bit happy. Definitely will be back :-)

Grandma just got paid so we're going to Dollar Tree. This is the new one that just opened off Mission Blvd that was previously a Walgreens next to Bank of America. It's pretty big compared to other Dollars trees, 2x that of the Dollar Tree on FootHill. Anyways, has the same stuff many other dollar trees have. Still clean and organized. Hope it stays this way. Can't beat a buck! We usually get our household basics from here; air freshener, seasonal holiday decorations, school supplies, dog toys, cleaning products. SO CHEAP! Our register lady, Furaha, was extra nice. She made sure we didn't scratch our reading glasses.

This store is much bigger than most dollar stores. Wide selection of just about everything and of course.... everything is only 1 dollar!

Best of all, it's walkable distance to the bakery, grocery store, restaurants, and other stores in the same plaza. Staffs are very well trained and the store is super clean and organized as always. Aisles are walkable and easy to navigate. What I really like is they have lots of products here/wide range of new and old selections. You'll find some good value for the prices and quality here. Good shopping atmosphere. All positive. I purchased some smaller loose items along with a new non-ticking wall clock. Everything is still looking good and useful inside. Daiso always have what I want and most of the time, I end up grabbing additional items that weren't on my shopping list. Yes, very tempting shopping specifically at this Union City location. Good experience. I just wish that prices would come back down like the old Daiso days when they first opened in the San Francisco Bay Area. Overall, great place to shop. It's more unique than other Daiso locations in the region. It's even better than ones in Las Vegas region. I think this Daiso stands out and deserves more recognition for outstanding business operations and they're always fully stocked with new items too. Love this location very much. Staffs are all just wonderful people here.

I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting
