I give this one a little better of a score. Not as messy as most the DT I have been to but they also get a few less people then the more heavily traffic stores. They did have marbles when I needed some. I often lose my marbles and need to get more. read more

Usually dollar stores are kind of unorganized and a bit ghetto. However, this one is a nice high end one that's bigger than most stores. They have everything you need and then some. I worked here for almost 4 years while going to college. Great place to work, and great place to shop. Lines are long and there is limited staff due to losing about $70K a year from people stealing. Blame them. 2. It may be messy sometimes. But guess what? The workers don't make the mess. Customers and their children do. Tip: if you drop something, pick it up! Not a wild idea :) 3. For the love of God, be nice to workers, and people in general. They're just trying to do their job, having constant rude people does NOT help. 4. Do not go shopping at any Dollar Tree if you can't handle waiting in a line. Best place in the world for educators to buy supplies for cheap! Plenty of decorating stuff for your classrooms' bulletin and what not. It's a great place to find prizes/incentives to reward your students or if you're throwing a party for young children. I also love their office supply isle because they sometimes have brand name items sold in packs of two which is a reasonable for $1. I love the dollar store! I don't know what I would do if I didn't live next to one to grab all my last minute needs. read more

I usually come here, since it's nicer and a bit cleaner. Even the employees are more friendly, compared to the other dollar store's.. plus, it's way closer to my house. A 15min walk, especially if your trying to lose weight haha. read more

Yelp says this store closes at 10. I came at 9:10 and they were already closed. Ridiculous. This store is always messy. There is boxes blocking walkways 9 out of ten times that I've gone. This place just seems huge. The isles are actually roomy and not cluttered. They're selection seems much bigger than normal as well. Overall it was nice, clean, and pretty organized. I really dislike this location. Employees are hella lazy, always one cashier. They have this one older hispanic lady who just isn't professional at all, I have asked her stuff on seperate times being here and she'll say oh no. Like today, I asked about an end cap that had luau items, she told me that was it. Turned literally around and it was more behind me! She just doesn't care about s#!%. Cleanest Dollar Tree I've ever been to... And if you frequent dollar trees often, you'll understand why this is so amazing... Lol

At first I felt a little funny about writing a review for a Dollar Tree Store, but admittedly I find myself stopping by here at least once every two weeks. Normally I find myself there grabbing something my niece can play with and destroy senselessly, apple juice for some Heem, or paper plates. The real treasure of the Dollar Tree Store are their seasonal items. I'm really big on holiday shopping and looking for little knick-knacks to spruce up my holiday parties or birthday parties. Seasonally they always have some sort of theme, so themed parties can be cheap and inexpensive if you decorate right. Most of the items are honestly comparable to Party City or ordering off of Oriental Trading. Most recently they've really upped their game by selling paper lanterns that come with actual battery operated lights to light up. Whether its for graduation, a birthday or a traditional holiday, its definitely worth your time to drop by the store. Great place to drop by too if you're an educator and want to reward your students with something fun and inexpensive. As for layout, the store is wide and spacious. It isn't a problem to move through the aisles among customers, and even the holidays don't feel congested within the store. While the store is clean and organized, you can see that they do often need to return go backs each day. My only complaint is that there is often quite a bit of traffic and sometimes the line can get very long. I've tried to be understanding and see that they're short staffed, but it seems to be more often than not and its gotten to the point where I find myself wondering if I have time to stop by the Dollar Store considering that I may need to wait for 10 minutes to be rung up. Though the cashier that rings me up is always nice, I would like to see them either hire more staff, adjust their staffing schedule to consider high traffic hours for business, or come up with a better routine for calling a cashier to the open a second line. I've witnessed more than thrice slow moving cashiers, or just one long line with two associates cleaning or doing something else and it just feels blah. I don't think any staff should look at a line of six or more people and think its alright for them all to wait. Maybe the manager should consider not closing the last register down by counting out the drawer and leaving it open for credit transactions. Also, as someone who shops there often, it would be nice to see them change the layout once in awhile and refresh the visual displays. The wall by the balloons has been the same spread of hair ties and bows for so long that I feel everything in that corner of the store (which is directly visible from the line we stand in for the cashier) is just old and rotting away. I told her it says online that you guys closes at 10 and they should update their info online so no one gets confuse then she said rudely why don't you say that to the corporate. This store had just opened not too long ago, and its pretty convenient and nice. Basically everything is $1 and you can buy a whole bunch for that price. From toiletries to foods, to basic home necessities to kid toys. Really you cant beat that; plus its really clean, hence it still being new, but hopefully they can keep it that way. All the other Dollar stores are usually thrashed and things are everywhere since people just rush through there. Staff were nice but busy with all the people. Yaaay for dollar stores! read more

I've been to a lot of dollar stores....they aren't that close to where I live so I have to travel when I need to get party favors and things like that. I have to say that this was the best, most organized and clutter free dollar store I have been to. It is also huge and they have a LOT of stuff. It was my third dollar store I went to in one day.....wish I had gone there first - I could have saved myself a lot of headache. On top of it I found things to be cheaper than at other dollar stores. ..e.g I bought party favor bags for $1 for 8 at a different dollar store (the one in RWC) and then found this place had 20 for $1 and they were nicer!! I took my niece here for a little shopping trip and they have a fairly good selection of $.99 items to choose from, it may take a bit but the selection is enough to where you can find some treasures. If you are planning a party of some kind that you need a lot of decorations or party favors this place would be the place to go. It's located in the fairway shopping center in South Hayward and has plenty of decent parking. Well stocked and staff tries to keep it neat, but kind of tough when customers toss their items on the floor. I really like this Dollar store. I can actually find what I am looking for because it's very clean and organized. The fact that I come here very late and it's still clean, it's like a big plus. Wow. The store is pretty big, I only buy the necessary. I am a couponer and buying items like toothpaste isn't a bargain to me. 10/12 11:08am I'm not sure the name of the woman who checked my friend and I out. but i wanted to return a food item that I had purchased because I didn't like it. I had asked her if I could return it and she said no and I said "are you serious?" And she said "yes." And this woman PROCEEDED to EAT the item that i wanted to return! She grabbed the box from me and said "I'm gonna try one." And she grabbed one out of the box and ate one. And she looked at me and said "mm these aren't bad." I didn't even know what to say to her because I have NEVER had that happen to me at any establishment ive ever been to. I was in such shock that I said "you know what you can have it" no offense i don't know where her hands have been and she was probably working all morning, touching a bunch of money and other items that could've been dirty or anything period. After I said she could have them and walked away i heard her say "okay!" And laughed as my friend and I left. I'm both angry and offended. Older shopping center with Parking and few places to eat at. This is a really small dollar tree compare to some I have been to. I had to come here this morning. It is Sunday and I had nothing to do so I figured I pick who knows what at this store. My monthly pass had expired this morning and I had forgot so easiest way was to walk to Wallgreens and get it renewed and then I could come here rather than go home. This is a nice store. It is about the size of a normal drug store and is always a big mess on most isles! I only been here twice but seems that is the norm here. I do like this store. It seems to have all kinds of interesting items. I got a pair of inserts for my shoes to make my sole rise and feel better. We see how they go. I cannot remember what else I got besides a jar of pickles that looked good. I did pay for a bag. That much I remember. I didn't buy any trash bags. That is the best buy at these stores usually. I bought no dish soap but did look at them. No food items though was going to get a bottle of orange something and skipped. What the heck did I buy that came to $13? I don't remember. I did have a good visit and the handles on the bag did NOT break. I am suspicious of these brown shopping bags. The handles break. Good store to shop read more

Ok dollar tree you know we all need you around, but really like hire more people. This complaint has been addressed over and over again, every time I'm in this store. It is said that corporate will not allow them to hire more people. The lines are always unbelievably long, every time I go in this store, no exaggeration, every time the lines are really long, like you have to consider going to another store, do I really need these things, start questioning your decision to come in here. You kind of think okay it can't be bad every time, right? Well it is, and I need to learn this, but I will continue to come in here even though I know the line will be terribly long, the time spent shopping is equal to the time in the line, if not the time in the line will be longer. C'mon corporate help these poor cashiers, they don't want to hear us complain anymore, fix it corporate. The people who are employed here are very nice and helpful, they are not to blame. read more
