Just this weekend I called to see if they had a difference size in stock for some clearance item I had bought from my daughter. They were quick, friendly and accurate. That same day, I came in and couldn't find lithium batteries. A helpful young man took me way over to another section to point them out and find my specific size. - Parking is easy - 5% off everything - including gift cards - with my Target Debit card which hooks into my own bank. The only thing I do not fancy , are their hours , which seem to have a mind of their own . Example , when Covid started , I ordered something through drive up, sent my husband to get it at around 7pm , and they were closed . Most recently, I also ordered something via Drive up . My husband went again but this time at 8:30pm , and Target was again , closed . So, even when their website says OPEN , they may not be open . I use to think that all Target stores were the same. This one is much better than the one in San Leandro (SL you need to step up your game). You wonder what makes this location better than SL? Well, it is cleaner, more organized and not crowded. Items are where they are suppose to be, clothing is actually on hangers and folded. Not in a pile nor on the floor or flung over the rack. During my shopping visits the checkout line wait is very minimal. The longest wait I have encountered has been 5 minutes. The staff is friendly and willing to help with any needs. It is located in a shopping center next to Fresh and Easy (they are good too) eateries and other stores. Parking is never an issue. There is a Pizza Hut and Starbucks inside which is convenient to grab a snack. read more

My local target. I actually love this Target, compared to the one at Bayfair. This is a bigger one and plus, the parking lot has bigger spaces! Less people to come near my beat up bucket, but nevertheless, easier to park. The employees here are usually helpful and the return exchange customer service line moves quickly. Those they're pretty stingy about returns and the products, that's how retail is. Walking in, there's an ample supply of carts and baskets for your every shopping need. Clothes are well stocked, FOOD is absolutely well stocked with labels and prices and discounts and bundles! I love the refrigerator section and the grocery selection isn't bad. I can pick up pretty much anything at Target and with using my Target card, I always get that 5%! There's a Starbucks, Target food court AND Pizza Hut Pizza inside! It's always clean in here, open late and the managers are always there to ease up lines and fix problems that come and go. Great place to pick up everything you need and things you want! Every time I go they barely have any stock. That store is a mess at times. Conveniently, they are the closest Target to me, so I go there often. Drive up is very nice they are always there rain or shine. The Starbucks's decent, they sometimes make the drinks and they don't taste how they are supposed to. The operator at this target sucks. I called to ask if they recycle here. She didn't understand so I further explained that I have a bunch of water bottles I want to bring in to recycle. I love Target! But this location is very disappointing... big time. I ordered my items online a few days ago and planned to pick up at the store. With the pandemic going on I do not feel comfortable staying at the stores for a long time. And amazingly I get emails on a daily basis in the last 3 days that my orders are ready for pick up. So as I stood at the order pick up lane, I was not acknowledged at all, not to mention there were at least 3 employees doing whatever. I don't expect them to help me right away but it would be nice to say something to their customers. The topping to my cake was some of the items I ordered were missing. The clerk had to call someone to pick up the items to fulfill my order. I probably spent at least 15 minutes just waiting. It would've been probably faster if I picked up the items myself. I really don't mind this location if you need to go to Target. The parking is a zoo but if you don't mind walking a little more than I highly recommend it. You will also be primed to leave when you're done shopping. It can get congested during peak times during the day. I recommend coming early or later in the day if you want a quick in/out trip. Otherwise you can expect to navigate around a lot of ppl and to wait through the registers. The restrooms are usually pretty clean (@ least the women's room). read more

Walked in to kind of kill some time. Noticed that Wild Fable was stepping up their game in design, but didn't cave into buying. Wasn't there for anything super in particular... me-wise... but I ended up with a Who What Wear sweater and a gift I had wanted to get my bf from the electronic department. I didn't really think the service there was that good. I had to ask twice for help -- the first, I wasn't really helped -- the two women knew I wanted to buy something but they just pointed to where the product was even though they knew they needed a key to release the product. I had to then go back to ask for help -- I was waiting in line... then more people came by and swooped in without even asking me or motioning me if it was my turn (neither the customer nor the employee -- what am I, invisible?? I thought that was completely rude). Then MORE customers came up to the counter and the employee was like please form a line here (totally on the opposite side I had been standing for minutes -- she didn't even make eye contact with me to signal that I needed to move over there and that I was next - smh -- these two women were in black shirts I think one was a manager, too). I later see a guy in a red vest and I walk up to him and ask him if he could help me. He was the only person who showed great customer service out of the 3-4 employees that were in the electronics department. I think the organization of the place is pretty intuitive and the service is always friendly. It can be slow at times though, especially in the express lane. Longer than the regular lanes. Thursday, July 27TH had a bad experience, went to Target and I was helped by customer service due to a returned item, unfortunately, lost my iPhone, I realized I didn't have my phone right before walking out, went back and asked if anyone returned an Iphone she said NO. Due to that, I had to get a new phone as you know the process of getting a new phone easily takes 1/2hrs. When I finally had a new phone decided to track my phone and sure still at Target I was able to detect the phone also moving around Target after 2-3 hours. At that point decided to go back with the new phone I told them the current, status and showed them my phone was there spoke to the manager no one was helpful, explained to them that it couldn't be a customer I lost my phone at 12:30pm and at that point, it was 3 pm after 3hrs, still manager said they had no phone they even mentioned that location was showing at target but the location of the phone wasn't accurate I lest target very upset. I decided to track my phone all weekend since I was out of town that weekend my phone never moved decided to take an HPD officer on Monday and he was able to locate my phone. Very upset with Hayward target. No one came up to me and never explained what exactly happened. NO one tried taking my name info in case my phone was located. So guys if you lost your phone at Target make sure you track it. read more

i had a lot of hope for this target location, it's in a nice spot, right by kennedy park & they have a new drive up spot. but NOPE. i wish i could give them NEGATIVE stars but unfortunately, i have to put 1. i'm sorry but this was the worst drive up experience i've ever had. ive done hundreds of pickups at bayfair target for the longest, just recently switched to hayward north & i am seriously resenting my decision. they've been messing up my drive ups numerous times, & i just let it go many times. but i just can't let this one go. My hand soap, clorox & hair gel was all in a bag & the bleach was halfway open, the hand soap was cracked & it got all over inside the bag. it was a big mess & im so lucky that the bleach didn't stain my car. another thing, i purchased a 12 pack can of ginger ale, i received a 2 liter bottle. that is crazy, how am i supposed to take a big bottle everyday of the week to work. lastly, i ordered a variety pack of cheeze it's, i received goldfish. my kids love cheeze it's & will not eat goldfish so i am out of luck considering they just started school & it was for their lunch. if you're going to go to target hayward, don't do drive up. their drive up employees are very inconsiderate & extremely rude. read more

Target has really upped their game in the last year with closures of so many brick and mortar stores. They have most everything that you need and if they don't, they will get it and either deliver it to the store (free) or your house (for a small fee). Targets are great, especially when you're here on a weekly basis for that weekly Target run! This particular store has been in business since I was a Senior in high school. It has revamped & changed its layout over the years, but it has always been nice & clean, fairly organized, displays neatly stacked, and never ratchet or ghetto, compared to WalMart. This store is conveniently located off the hustle and bustle of Hesperian Boulevard, and has an easy access from Interstate 880, by exiting on West A Street (towards the Bay). Parking is plentiful, and easy to pull up into, in addition, to being located with a number of stores and restaurants in the immediate lot. Inside the store, is a vibrant atmosphere of bargains a-plenty, in addition to its never-ending clearance racks, in which you will find the thrill of bargain hunting! That's where the best retail therapy takes place! You just have to have patience, bruh! In addition, this location has a Starbucks & Pizza Hut Express inside, a beauty concierge that looks like it was taken out of Sephora, as well as a full-service CVS pharmacy, a grocery section, as well as a Target Mobile within a new interactive electronics layout - located at the far back of the store. This is another target I go to frequently because they have a great amount of selection but is currently under construction. I love that there is a Starbucks at this location so if you ever need some boost before shopping you can stop by there or grab food then shop. There is a good amount of self check out section. The staff here is friendly so if you ever need help just ask one employee and they will help you out. Their produce section is great as well. I'll be back soon. Best Target in my opinion. The employees who work here are friendly and if you can't find something, they're always willing to help. Produce is generally fresh, however sometimes the fruit stock is very low and practically empty. My only note of criticism is that when you're buying something that needs to be unlocked with a security key, they take it to customer service for you to pick up. I found this frustrating because I only needed one thing and yet I had to follow the guy all the way there to pick it up because he was carrying things for other people. I don't see why I couldn't just carry it straight to line myself. There's a big Starbucks attached here, small Pizza Hut, and the usual Target hot dogs, popcorn, etc. This is my go to Target.
