I have to give it to the cooks...as they seem to have some special request on how to prepare an order from the customer...in what seems every order! - The place is generally very clean. My only complaint if I was to have one: The music jukebox...especially at night...is cranked up so loud....doe what seems for the staff....(not) the guests. My husband and I have a Christmas Eve tradition of going to the service at our church and then to Waffle House for dinner. We have always enjoyed the food there. Well done! The hash browns are perfect!....crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Eggs were cooked great, as was the bacon! Our server's name was Sunshine and she was friendly and attentive. I really hate giving bad reviews but this is really a bad place I read all these other reviews that must have been when they first opened that they got all these great reviews because of now 2021 it sucked. I stood there for 10 minutes without any of the wait staff or anybody addressing me I told them at this point I wanted to do a to-go order so they proceeded to take my order have something I paid $11 over $11 for these absolutely tasted like shit. Needless to say by the pictures you can sssßssee that I ate maybe two pieces off of everything and it was disgusting and that's all I ate. We had breakfast at the waff house off east sunshine. There were three dirty tables when we walked in we waited a good 5 minutes for the lady to clean off the table. It took her forever to scrape off one plate at a Time and get our table washed off. I never seen anyone move so slow. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and pretend they had all new cooks. I'm sitting here 3 hours later with a stomachache, hoping it's not food poisoning. The Philly beef was so salty I drenched it in ketchup to make it edible. The hash browns where cooked to a crisp that we couldn't chew and the eggs were dry and tasteless. I couldn't t even finish one cup of coffee it was so bad. We were in a hurry and it was the closest breakfast restaurant we could find by the hospital. I will not be going back. This Waffle House is an example of what they all should be. Exceptionally clean, and I mean everything. The staff are happy, inviting and well put together. Grandson had chocolate chip waffle and it was spot on, he rarely eats a whole waffle anywhere but he did this one. I am SO HAPPY that there's now no smoking in Waffle House! This location has the best waitstaff, the best cooks and is so clean! I like my hashbrowns extra crispy and always order them that way. This crew gets it and I get hashbrowns that are not only actually brown, but also crispy! WOO HOO! I just wish they'd bring back real butter. Eggs were over easy, not over medium like I ordered, bacon was burnt instead of crisp, Toast was cold and barely toasted and limp with lumped cold butter (in one spot); the only good thing was the hash browns. The waffle wasn't done, it was doughy. I wish I had taken photos. I asked for just the eggs taken off the ticket and couldn't even get that, eventhough I didn't get offered replacement eggs. read more

Waffle House on National/Republic is the best location pertaining to quality and service. You won't find a locale that is spotless, but this one is relatively clean. It is one of those places you crave every once and awhile. The food and service were satisfactory. The only issue I had with the All star meal quality was the bacon was extremely overcooked. The Waffle and hash browns rocked and should have just ordered those two teams. The surprise is that for $1.90 you get an ice tea even though the meal comes with coffee. Seems like you should at least get a break on the tea. If you ask to get the ice tea in a to-go cup it is another $1.90.
