We were pretty much immediately greeted and told that we can sit where we'd like. We found a table and had a seat. The waitress took our drink order and went to go do her thing. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes later she came back with our drinks at last. I always hate eating dinner at places that are primarily a bar because the service is usually terrible and that's pretty much how it went with our visit. 45 minutes after ordering our food , we were still waiting on it, even our appetizer, and our drinks were in a constant state of needing a refill with the waitress nowhere to be found. I planned to have a couple mixed drinks while I was there, to try some different things, so they literally lost money by not coming back to the table to check on us. I didn't have the opportunity to order more drinks. The food finally arrived. My sad potato with chicken was nothing special and was pretty small for the price. My husband didn't like his food. I can't recall what he got. The manager was nice when he swung by, but by the time he came, the damage was already done. The whole visit was disappointing. We won't be back. This place really hasn't changed from what it was before they changed names and ownership. It was disappointing before and it remains so.

Paired with a Guinness, this is as close to heaven as one can get during work's hour lunch break. The bar area started filling up with the lunch crowd towards the end, but Karlie expertly managed all of it with ease, remaining attentive to the gathering crowd while multitasking between taking food orders and serving as well as bartending. This masterful combination of service, atmosphere, and great food is hard to find around Springfield, but Dublin Pass nailed it while making it look easy, making them a highly suggested stop.

Yelp must allow the owners to delete reviews. Several were written about Dickies and now they are gone. Oh well, read this while you can. I'm done with Dickies in Springfield. Went in last night at dinner time. Down hill from here. Place was full, had to wait a bit for a table. 3 people behind the counter, not enough. Dinner time and they were out of sliced brisket. Also out of the dinner rolls according to the girl, but in the oven said the guy. Didn't matter they never came out of the oven. Ordered the polish sausage, saw it come right out of the smoker and it was very cold. Ordered baked beans, saw them come smoking out of the oven, but when he ladeled some toward the bottom, cold. Not having good feelings at this point. At this point I've got cold sausage, finely chopped brisket, mac & cheese and waiting on okra. Started to get some bbq sauce and the warmer thing was not working. Sauce was cold. The help/manager were trying, asking if I wanted something else. I said anything hot. They brought me some ribs. I agree with other review that these were nothing special. More like the zarta precooked ribs you get at Price Cutter. Meat nothing like Billy Sims or Rib Crib. Pros: Place smelled very good like a bbq joint. I saw their smoker/oven. Looks state of the art. Place could do much better, but I doubt it. I'm going to Nixa. I have heard good reviews on that place. Sorry to ramble a bit but I write reviews for others. Almost everything in here is factual and could be improved if the owner/ manager paid more attention. thought i wrote this review weeks ago,,, 60% of the time my experience here is 110% awesome, whether i get it to go or eat there the foods are always on point and the only times i dont get what i wanted is when i stroll in 15-20 minutes before closing, not their fault they made it so good they sold it all up. big shout out to every individual on the crew(and once again as a whole crew) for being cool as a fan and remembering i wont eat the side-vegetables more often than i remember to ask to not have them, the foods always fire, the peoples are always friendly, and the foods always fire, three great reasons to keep goin back read more

The staff, the atmosphere, and the food are all great at dickeys. This location always does a great job. My favorites are the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket mac stack. You haven't lived until you've had brisket mixed with mac and cheese. Yum! read more
