Excellent Waffle House breakfast this morning. As much as I would have loved grits or hash browns or a waffle, I stuck to the fiesta omelet with a side of wheat toast. At 6am, the restaurant had a few other diners. The crew was in good form with no yelling and no fights today. We needed a quick- early breakfast and we spotted Waffle House from our hotel. Out the door by 6:30- we were on the road after breakfast by 7am! Yes- Waffle House for the win! We all knew what to order. John has had his order down pat for decades. Scattered, smothered, covered & chunked. Mine the same- just add caps. Robert added capped and gravy! I split a waffle with John and we were good to go. Coffee was enjoyed by all of us- super early needed a bit of caffeine to get us moving. Service as always was fast and efficient. Monday night my wife and I went to this Waffle House. My experience with Waffle House has been usually the same regardless of location or time of day. food and service as you would expect. Not this time. There was only one person in the place and she was preparing to leave. The waitperson came to our table for drink orders and my wife ordered water, I ordered coffee. Less then a minute later she returned and put the drinks down in the wrong order, no big deal but a sign of things to come. She brought us menus and said "I'll be right back", she then left the restaurant and was out in the parking lot for a while. When she returned she did not come back to our table. We sat there for long enough to finish my coffee and then some and still no return. Some people came in and sat at the other end of the place and she spoke with them. I don't know how long she thinks it takes to read a Waffle House menu, or even if anyone needs a Waffle House menu for that matter, but we had been ready to order for quite a while. We finally gave up, put $3 on the table and left, can you believe a coffee at Waffle house is $2.50? No one said anything as we left I assume they found the money for the coffee but i think the waitperson should probably look for a job outside of the field of customer service. read more

We went to waffle House yesterday for dinner. The waitress literally told us in the rudest manner that to she had three orders ahead of us as we were sitting down. There was one cook and one waitress, but it wasn't very busy. There were two other tables in the whole restaurant sat down. They didn't even so much as come to our table to greet us, no drink orders, no menu offers, nothing. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. It's super sad. We paid a dollar to the jukebox, listened to four songs and left. The waitress was walking up to our table as we were leaving asking about that table. We won't be back anytime soon considering we felt like we didn't even matter til we left. We also told the next group of people not to waste their time because we waited half an hour without any kind of service at all. My crew entered the premises with a general fear of the location - mostly due to another yelp review highlighting a dish containing hair and a general smell of marijuana in the surrounding area. However, our fears were quashed by the homey southern vibe of the restaurant and its employees. We even got to witness an employee-on-employee embrace in celebration of company success. This was complemented by the general loud joking and yelling of the workers along with complaints of corporate scolding. Just like home. Despite there being only a few filled tables in the restaurant, it took about an hour to receive all of our food, and each individual dish was delivered separately. In all fairness, this can likely be chalked up to the fact we were dining at midnight. All in all, a good visit: good skits, good waffs, good prices, and no hair in our food! read more

It's my fault: I have tried this location hoping several times expecting decent service. Order your food, pick it up, then leave....no problems with this equation. I sat at the bar around 9-10 am. 2 other people and myself. Occupancy around 75%. No one even acknowledges me for ten+ minutes: several people are working, washing dishes, serving, standing, texting, but 0% say "just a moment", "hello", or even a "fuck off" just the occasional glance as continue on. A I'm preparing to leave, a shirt haired blond female (reaking of cigarettes) says hello. Menu given, coffee & water brought, check dropped off. Food then arrived, coffee & water refilled only once each by different servers than then one who till order...I even asked the cook for a second water refill. Paid bill & left. My server...outside smoking on her phone. Makes sense why she was only seen twice. Food was 7/10, service is the issue: 2/10. The cook, slim guy, glasses, very friendly, was the only one that seemed to care about the customers going above and beyond. Than you sir. Again: order food, pickup, then enjoy at home. read more

First time at Waffle House. My boyfriend being from the south gave the three rating. The server's were very nice and at the end of the meal even offered to give me a to-go coffe for free. I ordered the waffle, poor choice. How is a place called the waffle house and make below average waffles. The waffle was flat, not fluffy and didnt even come with whip cream. My boyfriends go too is the texas bacon patty melt. He said the bacon was crisp. The sandwhich was descent but adding the waffle house special sause made all the difference. As you all see on my reviews, I based everything solely on taste, service, and cleanliness of the establishment. This Waffle House was actually GOOD. The food were all cooked very well, tasted great, our server Tonya was really nice and attentive. We came in at 6am and we know she's tired from a night shift but that didn't stop her from giving us her great service. Everything on our table seems to be neat and clean. Couldn't say anything bad about this place. My husband and I went in to get a quick breakfast before we go to a 6 hour drive and this breakfast was very filling and satisfying. An American tradition of waffle and hashbrowns. Stopped in with my son because it was the special time of day between breakfast and lunch. I ate breakfast; he had lunch. Food is typical of all Waffle Houses, love the consistency and strong coffee. Wait staff was helpful and friendly when my son continued to change his mind about what he wanted. My girlfriend and I have dined at this same Waffle House two years in a row when we travel South to visit my family since it's roughly half-way between Washington, DC and Mobile, AL. We stay at the Red Roof Inn right next door and it's always a pleasure to eat breakfast there. The food is quite good, especially the grits. Highly recommend the omelets too. Coming from Michigan, I never got to experience a Waffle House meal. On the way back from Florida, I pleaded with my partner to eat at a Waffle House--something I've wanted for years. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't even really think it'd be that good. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the service (southern hospitality I suppose) and the no-fuss, deliciousness of the food. I got cheesy eggs with hash browns and oh my god the eggs were so good it was hard to breathe while I was embarrassingly shoving them down my throat. My partner got eggs over easy with a side of hash browns, she described the eggs to have been cooked perfectly. We shared a waffle, which was sweet, malty perfection. I want to go to there again. The location is convienient. The restaurant looks like any other waffle house. The turn-off for me is that all of the employees sit right out front and smoke and then come inside and cook your food. If they have to smoke, let them go behind the store or to the side where you don't have to walk by them to get inside the restaurant. I don't appreciate the 2nd hand smoke. The service, the food and the hospitality is good. The smoking is what bothers me. read more
