Set back a bit off Dayton Blvd, it can be easy to drive by the first time. There is a sign at the road, but it does not stand out and can get lost in the background. There is a lot of parking, but know the entrance is on the side of the building, not the front facing the road. Spaces are adjacent to the building as well as in a row in the rest of the large lot. Traffic is usually light, so crossing a traffic lane is no issue. The handicapped spaces are by the door on the side of the building. Walking in, the sign indicated we should seat ourselves, so we found a booth. Seating consists of tables and booths, with a larger table in the section near the front of the building. It is an older building which could use some freshening, but everything was clean. Even the worn floors and table tops were clean and not sticky. Our waitress arrived within a minute or two of us sitting down, bringing the menus and took our drink order. We got our drinks in two different deliveries. Our waitress had several tables she was working and seemed to handle them well, dropping off items at the various tables as she walked by. Our food took maybe 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered the "2 egg special". My eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. The two sausage patties were cooked completely but not overdone. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The biscuit could stand up to the gravy but was still soft enough to cut with a fork. The sausage gravy was thick and plentiful. I did add a little more pepper, but that is a personal preference. My dining partner's veggie omelet was very good. All vegetables tasted fresh, and the addition of sour cream amped up the flavor. The grits were nothing special, but it's really hard to make grits stand out. Lillie Maes is a great place for a filling and good southern country breakfast, and they also have a lunch and dinner menu. I expect I will be coming back here often.

Inside sign and scramble eggs with bacon and biscuits with gravy.

This small diner is a wonderful hidden surprise in Red Bank TN. Great place for breakfast. It's clean and the wait staff are amazing. I had the 2 egg with bacon and a side of gravy biscuits. They tasted so fresh and good. The food was served fast and arrived hot just like being at home. The prices of all their food was amazingly reasonable. I definitely will be back.

3 egg breakfast with a side of hashbrowns, so yummy. Fruit was fresh and delicious

The place could use a deep clean and some updates. Food was just okay, nothing special.

No frills in the ambiance but the food is fantastic the servers are great and the place was busy. Can see why it is a popular eatery.

I hate to judge the place off this one interaction since I'd never been here before but it gets to a point. We came in in the wee morning hours after celebrating New Years, so of course it was busy. But not that busy. There were 2 cooks and 3 other workers, only one of which was taking orders (well, if she actually would do that...) and the other two were just twiddling their thumbs? We wait ~15-20 mins to get a table, which is not a problem, but they're getting a backed up line for to-go orders as well. Two tables opened up so we sat down and there was still plates and such on the tables. Also not a problem, except that one of the male workers cleaned off the table behind us, the one with no people at it, instead of ours. People end up coming in and sitting at the table, and he speaks to them (once again ignoring us) to say that the server will "get down here eventually." A verbal altercation happens between the woman server and the male worker, where we learn he is a supervisor??? He's doing the most random sh*t around the restaurant like filling up maple syrup, stacking plates, literally ANYTHING else but trying to help the woman server take orders. We were not greeted nor looked at once. I mean hell it's Waffle House I'm not exactly looking for outstanding professionalism but as someone who has worked in the industry I just cannot believe the way last night went. We were there for over an hour and did not get one "hello" or "i'll be right with you" or a damned drink for that matter. Just absolutely ridiculous. We were just two people. People handle 10 tops and huge parties every day and you can't serve 2 people or even attempt to? At least put in a little effort bruh get me up in there and I'll have it running like the navy lmfao y'all mfs get it together
