It's not an Atlantan's beloved Al's gyro, but it's darn tasty! I'd eyeballed the menu on one of the many occasions I strolled past on a jaunt down Broad and spotted the gyro among their (many) hot sandwich options. Note to self to try, accomplished yesterday! Very simple, clean, friendly little space. Fairly large menu; a basic order-at-the-counter, pick-up-your-food-when-called kind of place. Sides are extra. They have sandwiches (hot and cold) and "plates" (chicken fingers and the like) and a kids menu. Great gyro. To me, unusual that the gyro was an almost sealed (due to the heat) pita, rather than more of a pita bread wrapped around all the goodness; it is actually quite effective this way, keeping 99% of the yummies inside. I went with the traditional (lamb and beef) gyro (they do offer a chicken as well) and with the tomatoes, onions and classic sauce, it was so good. Lots of meat. Lots of sauce - almost too much, but not quite, in a good way, if that makes sense! I ate almost all of it - if you have a really big appetite or really, really dig on gyros (I am thinking of Richard R the time he, Helena W and I went to Agora) then you might want one and a half, or at least eat all your fries or get a second side....the fries were ok - pretty basic, very hot and - this may sound like a "doh!" Homer Simpson kind of remark, but very . . . potato-y tasting . . . That was the main thing that stood out about them, seriously. But that sandwich - I will return for it, for sure. Hours are a bit odd/early closing as someone else mentioned, but for a downtown lunch/early dinner spot, this is a great choice.

Always solid food and service! The steak in a sack is an old time winner. Onion rings are huge and definitely shareable.

I ordered a gyro and fries, and the gyro was easily one of the better ones that I've had recently.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

I love, LOVE the ambience a whole lot of wood, very cozy, very homie. It's a mix between a treehouse and a tavern. i didn't feel rushed to get out of there. And they encouraged you to stay and visit. The servers were very helpful, friendly and very attentive. It took us 20 minutes after we ordered all four of us to get out food. After getting our food, the only conversation we, 4, had was, How good and fresh and flavorful our sandwiches were. Tell your friends highly recommend

I also know from friends that it hasn't changed and it's been just as good. I don't come through this area often, but my friends wanted to meet up and have dinner here. Also the ambiance is so cozy and home-y! It felt like something out of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, some kind of fantasy tale. They were quick to seat us, because we were a group of 5 we had the bigger booth upstairs in the back corner. Though we were seated quickly and our group trickled in after a few minutes, it took a long time for us to put our orders in. I feel like part of it is the booth placement in the corner. We spent a couple minutes trying to look at a server for eye contact haha. I ordered the Veggie Burger, which I loved as a college student years ago, and a cup of the Butternut Squash Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Veggie Burger was so tasty, it came with a side of chips and a pickle slice. The burger was hearty, flavorful, and had veggies like sprouts and avocado that tasted very fresh. For me, it was a hit back then and it still is a hit now. And I wasn't planning on getting the soup, but I saw on the menu that if it was the soup of the day then the Salmon Chowder would be priced differently. And Salmon Chowder is probably my favorite soup of all time. However when we asked, the soup was Butternut Squash which was a good one too. We got a round of 4 Butternut Squash soups for the table lol. I just got the cup and I loved it. And the bread too! I wish I had another slice because I finished that in a couple bites. Anyways the soup was so delightful, it was so cozy and great. I loved the added nuts sprinkled on top, it gave a nice texture with the soup. I feel like with Butternut Squash, people have their preferences about savory and sweet soups and sometimes Butternut Squash tends to be more sweet. But I feel like Yellow Deli nailed the balance between the two. Also I had a bite of my friend's waffle ... and I have to say that was definitely a Top 5 Waffle I've ever had in my life. It was just one bite but it was extraordinary. I'm not trying to exaggerate, it was just that good. They have great quality food here and nice service. I had to dock off a star because we were waiting for a good 25-30 minutes just to order when we were ready. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

I was hesitant when we arrived, seeing a line out the door and around the corner. However that line moved so fasts Nied did amazing getting people in and out. They had a huge selection of merch that was themed perfect to their mission and goals. The "We're all bread inside" design was probably my favorite. For meals, I got the Niedlov's Breakfast and my friend got the Ham and Gruyère Skillet. I loved what I got, but when I go again I think I will try a skillet because they all smelled amazing! I also got a Gruyère Bacon Chive Scone and a Orange Pan Suisse to take on the road. Both were outstanding. For my drink, I got one of their Blueberry Basil Matcha. I was a little nervous about the basil, but I can genuinely say it was my favorite drink of my entire trip. Lastly I want to say a special thank you to the staff. We thought we weren't going to be able to find a table, but when we found one at the last second, they actually offered to switch my meal to a skillet since they can't do those to go. Absolutely a five star experience and I am already anticipating my next visit.

Service was very prompt - you order at the counter and they will bring food to your table. I was there mid-morning on a Friday, and it was packed! It's a really nice vibe, with an outdoor patio and the indoor seating area. After eating here, I can understand why they were nominated for a James Beard award. If you are ever in Chattanooga, this is worth the effort! 5/5, would absolutely go back!

Family-owned, it's always a beehive of activity, Small, packed inside with even a few community tables, they also have a couple tables outside on the street. Hey, and they even feature coffee from my favorite local roaster, Mad Priest. The flavors they opted to meld together for their Greek Freak Burger, were out there. There was a lot going on and you could absolutely pick up on some of those actual ingredients, starting first with their bun option, which was a Parmesan-sesame crusted sourdough. I liked the burger, it was a brave execution, and I had to fight off others at our table that wanted to sample it. Service is great, though on this particular day, food delivery was a bit slow......it may have had something to being on the Burger Week circuit. They have now expanded adding Sunday to their hours of operation. Be forewarned, there is likely to be a wait give its' status with the locals. It is worth the wait.
