We saw the waitress (Marsha R.) wiping off the table in front of us and she DROPPED the Dish Towel in the floor then picked it up, off the floor and continued using it to wipe off the table with the same Dish Towel that just hit the floor‼ NASTY no telling how many more tables were wiped off with the same towel that hit the Floor!!! The staff was great and very accommodating to our party of 10. The waitress was amazing as well. Fried pickles and pork rinds were good, along with the cheeseburger, but I got sick a few hours later and was in the bathroom throwing up. Not sure if the food was cooked in old grease or not. I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings, my wife got just an order of fried mushrooms (which I tried). I must also add that I ordered this thru Doordash wish is never a recipe for making the food taste any better. This is likely the best burger I've had in years, it was so good! The onion rings and mushrooms were delicious as well. The only downside would be that it doesn't come with any condiments on the burger. They did throw a handful of ketchup in which I used for the onion rings. Luckily I was home so I was able to doctor it up with a squirt of mayo and ketchup. This burger is a must try. read more

Expensive for an ordinary burger. It was $20.63 for one bacon cheese burger, tots, and two soft drinks. It was on par with a fast-food burger and would be decent at a lower price. I have tried to eat at this restaurant two times. Both times, I arrived well before their stated closing time. This time I arrived at 5:45 PM and the time on the door for closing was 8:00 PM. I am not sure what is going on with this business but the should honor their hours of operation or change them publicly. The rest of our party, two ordered patty melts, and one a big burger. All were great, as were their fresh cut fries. That visit was a 5 for sure! Our second visit was just my husband and VU myself. I again ordered the cheeseburger wrap the same as the first time, and my husband ordered it as well, however he wanted the pickles (it's dill pickle relish) as well as musty. Well this time they mixed it up and I ended up with dill pickle relish and there was no way to pull it out if the wrap:(. The first visit the meat was ground up B and not big chunks, so very easy y try I eat. The second time it's like they cut a burger in 4 and B put it in the wrap, so just not the same. This burger joint is a real blast from the past 1970s diner. The atmosophere, fun yet casual, pairs nicely with the casual dress and upbeat vibe. Service was friendly and the food was very reasonably priced for the serving (huge serving of fries). I ordered the Mac and cheese bites, and they came out warm and delicious. Highly recommend local burger place. Good food and friendly staffs. Only issue I have is they close Saturday and Sunday. :)

EDIT: They removed the incorrect signage on carrying firearms, so I have updated my rating to 5 stars. Solid burger. Good fries. The fried pickles are delicious. I would have given 5 stars but I am a bit turned off by their signage claiming that TN law prohibits the carrying of firearms in the establishment because they serve alcohol; there is no such law in TN. read more

Went there twice recently and enjoyed our meals. I had hamburger steak first time. It was served with side salad and fresh cut fries. Everything was on point and delicious. Next time I ordered their wings and they were good but not great. Also I felt like they were a little pricey. They don't provide celery or carrots with the wings and the side sauces aren't homemade. Our family has eaten here several times with consistent results: great food, great service, and great prices! Things we've tried: fried bologna sandwich, burgers, BLT, and the melt. All excellent. This will definitely be a regular place for us. Also, there is more seating than you'd think looking from the outside. Seats are comfortable. Not too cold. Mervs has a good burger and the food is good for a small place. Service is hit or miss, though, some servers are great, others ignore you. If you are in any kind of hurry, go somewhere else. You have multiple servers in one visit so they tend to not know what's happening sometimes. I like knowing who my server is and who I'm tipping. We eat here, but not as often as we would. read more
