Just a little railroad themed, 24-hour diner situated on the edge of Chattanooga next to a gas station...this is Track's End! Our visit was during Covid-era, and I will give it to the place that they were social distanced with their tables, what few they actually have. In total, they had four of their seven booths open, two tables and two bar stools available for seating. The place isn't big, so I appreciate their efforts to keep folks as safe as possible while still allowing people to dine in. The set up is pretty straight forward for a tiny diner. You walk in the front door and are greeted by the register, bar, window to the kitchen and dining room. Service was one of our only issues, as our first waitress who sat us was simply unpleasant. There was only one other table in the place when we arrived and she just acted like she was annoyed with our presence. She was disinterested and borderline rude to start our meal. The only saving grace was the waitress who appeared half way through out meal and began waiting on us. She was friendly, joyful and helpful - she saved the day for sure! The food was decent. It was standard diner food, which isn't anything to complain about! We got a few of the featured breakfast meals including The Brakeman and the The Steam Engine. The Brakeman consisted of two eggs any style, meat (ham, bacon or sausage), hash browns or home fries, toast and jelly. While The Steam Engine, which is what I got paired biscuits and gravy with a couple of eggs any style and hash browns. Both meals hit the spot, the biscuits and gravy featured a fluffy and sturdy biscuit smothered with chunky and smooth white gravy. The hash browns were cooked crispy and the eggs were just how we ordered. Overall, this was a decent little place. Given the current situation, I would like to see a few more cleaning instances as when one table left, the waitress took a wet rag that was sitting on the drink station and gave it a quick once over. I am not in Chattanooga often, but if in the area again and in the mood for a cheap and filling breakfast, I may just swing back through Tracker's End. read more

I used to frequent this place. The food was decent, the prices were fair, parking easy. I stopped going because management kept going back-and-forth about whether they were open to the public or just open to railroad personnel. I got tired of making the trip all the way out there just to be turned away. read more

This place was fantastic! The food was amazing and the service was great. Kelly was our server and she did a great job! I had the Railroader omelette and it was humongous. It definitely hit the spot and I had more than half left over. My boyfriend got the Dispatcher and he loved his as well. We shared a short stack of pancakes and those were delicious. The portions are huge, the price is right and staff was friendly. If you are looking for home style breakfast with friendly service, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back. We are so thankful for a couple who invited us to eat here before we took a day trip. I've driven past many times and just figured it was another deli or likened to a Waffle House. Its a quaint little place with 7 booths, 4 tables and 7 individual counter seating. The menu offers a choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they are open 24/7 and 365 days a year. The wait staff are the best. Very friendly and attentive to their customers. I often get the three egg omelette and my wife craves their biscuit and gravy. The prices are great and you won't leave here hungry. So, the next time you're famished and ready to eat some good food, this is a place I recommend. Very interesting stories connect me to this place. First tine I went there after night in ER. And second time I went there after my husband's appointment. Not a cozy place but good for travelers. I dream of a place like this when we drive somewhere and have long trip... The menu looks simple but has no surprises. Traditional American breakfast and lunch. But being Russian I always look for unique moments and I guess this is not a place for it. Just simple good food and very man type environment. Not sure if I would go there just by myself. Charming restaurant that serves breakfast 24/7. It's a small hole in the wall place that mostly serves as a rest stop and food stop for workers on the train. They have very fluffy pancakes and their waffles were also delicious. I would have liked more sausage in my biscuits and gravy though. Their HESS and hash browns were also delicious. I've seen this place as it was being built and kept wanting to try it. So on a Sunday morning looking for someplace to have breakfast, the BF and I stopped here. I had heard they had decent food. All the food titles are train themed as this place is adjacent to a private corporate lodging for railroad workers. It's very cute inside, diner style. We both ordered the "Casey Jones" which came with 2 eggs, choice of meat and two HUGE pancakes. I ordered a side of hashbrowns and the BF ordered a side of grits. The pancakes came out first and like I said they were big. You get two of them. They were really good. Not chain restaurant style, but just like a greasy spoon should make a pancake. The syrup was just soaked up in the cakes. I couldn't eat them all. Wish I could have. LOL. My eggs and sausage links came next and then my hashbrowns on another separate plate. Too many plates on the table, including my BF's two plates and bowl of grits. The timing could have been a bit better for them to just put the hashbrowns on the same plate as the eggs and sausage but it didn't really adversely affect anything. They just might want to work on the timing. The food was good, my eggs were just about perfect. I started out going elsewhere and that place was closed so I circled here because Yelp listed it as open 24 hours. I can't vouch for that but it was open for me! It was the middle of the morning so there was hardly anyone in here. I sat at the bar. The waitress was really nice and we talked a lot about the place and how it is attached to a dormitory for the railroad. She said late at night when the train is in town the place is crowded with train personnel, VFW patrons trying to eat off their drink and the cops so it gets pretty funny people watching. They give a 10% discount to military veterans and emergency personnel. I ordered an omelet and it was eggcelent (get it). No really, it was good. Just what I wanted. I would call this a no frills breakfast place, it isn't IHOP. But it was clean, there was a good amount of food, the people are nice and apparently it is open 24 hours so stop by! read more

I'll start with the positives. This place is open 24/7 so that's super convenient and nice. The food was delicious and very large portions- more bang for your buck. Couldn't complain about that at all. It wasn't very busy when we went- about 1 or 2 am and maybe 2 other people were seated. Only one server available which was to be expected given the time of night, so it was understandable. Now the negatives.. the server was fairly new, but was clearly more concerned about going on her break then serving us. To start off with, we ordered sausage patties not links and specifically asked for the patties to avoid getting the links. Well we still ended up with the links. Not a major deal but later on she took my plate away without asking and I still had some food on it. I was a little upset about that due to the fact she never asked if I was done. My food was given to me on 3 separate plates so I was eating off of them individually. Unfortunately when we were almost done, she gave us the check and said she was ready for a break and left. Was never offered to go cups or desserts or literally anything. She left before we were even done. I ended up finishing my food and asked the cook if I could have a to go cup and served myself. Overall if we went at a diff time and diff server it would have been great. This was our first time at Track's End. The server was great, her name was Jennifer. Kudos to Jennifer, she welcomed us at the door and seated us and was pleasant the entire time even though she was busy. The menu is a typical Southern menu with railroad names. I had Casey Jones, two eggs, pancakes and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham. The pancakes were as big as the plate. In fact I brought half home. All I order was 2 pancakes n a slice of ham. My pancakes were so salty and all I put on them was butter bc I hate syrup but had to drowned it in syrup just to eat it. GET YOUR POSSE READY! My husband and I were looking for a rather late breakfast, (around 10am) and we wanted to avoid the downtown area on a Saturday morning. While using our Yadar, we discovered Track's End which had positive reviews. When we heard that it was connected to a hotel we paused slightly but decided to go ahead and give it a chance. When we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed that there were a few cars. Inside the place was simple and clean. You could choose to sit at the bar, (as the locals do) or you could try bench seating as we did. We looked over the menu and since we both wanted an omelet, we decided to get one to share. There was a four egg omelet on the menu and it sounded delicious so we order it. It is the Railroader and it comes with onions, peppers, mushrooms, two different cheeses of your choice, (we chose provolone and cheddar), bacon, ham, hashbrowns and of course four eggs The waitress tells us it is very large and we understand because in my head I'm thinking that I eat four egg omelets all the time. However, I later discovered that there is a difference between four egg whites with 1/2 yolk and four whole eggs. It is sort of like the difference between a cute baby lizard and an alligator. After asking if the pancakes are made from scratch, we decide to order a short stack to sample along with a side of breakfast potatoes. When that omelet is delivered our jaws drop! It is easily a four man omelet. This is definitely the one to order if you are going out with a group of four or more. I sampled the pancakes and they are not made from scratch which is the restaurant norm. I don't usually order them from a restaurant but since the waitress said that they were made from scratch, I was curious. My husband prefers my homemade buttermilk recipe instead. The breakfast potatoes where huge as well and this food made us think of Montana where the food is crazy big. I think that they are just accustomed to serving ranchers and cowboys with big appetites so they have crazy big servings. I have to say that this was the best omelet I have EVER tasted outside of my own kitchen. It was perfectly seasoned and perfectly executed- Absolutely delicious!! I don't know why this place gets good reviews. We came for breakfast and the pancakes were huge but bland, coffee was not great, biscuits were good, but the service was terrible! The waitress had a bad, unfriendly, attitude and we sat without refills of coffee for a long time until I waved her down and pointed to the coffee cup. She gave us an annoyed, "just a minute " finished sorting spoons then came over and refilled without looking at us or saying anything. We had to flag her again to get our check.
